Mrs asamoah. with all due respect, you need to take a chill pill. You waited all this time to go thru the process. Some ppl went thru the process just like you and did not succeed despite the money and time spent. U r onto the last step waiting for the visa. Be patient. You will get it. This last step should be of little stress compared to the stress of going thru the process along with the general stress of living in the states. I  am rooting for you all for good omen this week.

I really can't understand why the embassy why chose to use DHL to deliver passport upon visa approval. I learn was not like this some years past.

My prayers are for all those still waiting for their visas. Delay is not a denial! Please keep the faith!!

Good morning reacted to USS_Voyager in CEAC status Changed from Ready to AP after interview
It is normal. AP is anything and everything that they have to do before they can print your visa. Everybody thinks the officer just hits the “print” button on the computer and it’ll print like a receipt. The interviewing CO has to submit his findings and decision to his supervisor, if the supervisor agrees then the section chief has to review and sign off on it. If any of those guys is busy at some secret State training or on vacation or something, things are gonna get delayed. Then if the visa printer runs out of ink and they have to wait for another shipment of the secret sauce from Washington, so that’s another delay (I just made that up. I actually have no idea if that’s true or not, but it sounds good). Then they have to do quality control on the visa. They have to run it through the machine that CBP uses at the POE to make sure it reads right, and all the information is there, so you won’t have a problem at the port of entry. And every week, every Embassy or Consulate Post can issue thousands of visas, both immigrant and non-immigrant.
The point is, all of that together is called “Administrative Processing”

Good morning reacted to Ivie & Eguagie in AFTER SUBMIT CIVIL DOCUMENTS
After submitting documents, you will wait for the docs to be reviewed and accepted. This can take between 1-3 weeks. Once all your documents are accepted, you will get an email informing you that you are documentarily qualified.

Then from that moment on, you are on queue for an interview at the embassy stage. It can take a month or more to have you scheduled for interview. Your actual interview is usually a month ahead of the date it was scheduled. It is only after you get the interview letter in your email that you can go ahead and schedule your medical exam.

So, for now, it is a waiting game for you like everyone else in this process.

    Good luck.
