  1. FINALLY!! My fiance just called NVC and after 5 tries, they told him that our case has been sent to the Singapore consulate yesterday!!! FINALLY!! YAY!! :dancing::jest::dance:

Does that mean NVC has received our case last week? Oh well, my fiance, after getting the answer he wanted, didn't even bother to ask, and also didn't ask about our new embassy case number!!! gee... :P Will the new case number be on the hard copy of the NVC letter?

Nevertheless....I'm so happy right now!! :D :D GO APRIL FILERS GO!! :dancing:

  3. Who else has been waiting for more than 3 weeks for their petition to get to the NVC? I'm getting irritated. Called the NVC today and got a real @ss on the line who acted like I was an idiot. He answered and just said "Give me your case number" immediately, then when I told him, he said "We have no information, when did you get approved." and I told him July 31 then got...

"Well, what does it say on your NOTICE?" in a high and mighty tone. So I replied, "It says that we were APPROVED on JULY 31 and it was forwarded to NVC three weeks ago." And then he gave a big sigh like he was too above me to talk to me, then said "well we haven't gotten it yet." and hung up on me. I am so mad- I wish he'd have given his name so I could get a supervisor. What the heck is someone like that doing working with PEOPLE?

Count me in Cassandra, we got our NOA2 on the day, and we're still waiting for NVC........arrgh........

Maybe we should follow in Deron's footsteps? Get your congressman involved?

  4. I called NVC and talked to a person that told me when they got it (gave me a case number). I called NVC a couple days later and they said they had sent to Singapore. Then QQ called US Embassy in Singapore about 4 days later and they told her they had received.

Thanks for the wishes about interview...she already went this a.m. will go back again in afternoon. Will let u know story later.

Thanks TT! And I'm sure QQ will do just fine at the interview!! Waiting to hear good news from the both of you very soon!! *hint longreview hint* :P:lol:

  5. Welcome back rambaldi. I was trying to follow in your footsteps with the original April thread. ;) I just lost interest in anything but post-NOA2 info, that's four months I'm glad are behind me.

To find my congressman I just did a google search. After I found his website, I called his local office and just told them the issue. They gave me there visa person and within no time the wheels were turning. I'm just upset I didn't call earlier. I actually did write the main email center of the Congressman early in the process, but I never got a response.

Hehe Deron I actually thought of creating an NVC to Interview thread too, but I'm glad you did it first! ;)

You're lucky you got a sympathetic visa person. So have you called the NVC after your call to your congressman? Does NVC have your petition now?

  6. kmplisa - My fiance was able to call the US Embassy in Singapore and they told her when they had received the case from NVC. Each embassy may be a little different.

Tom, can you pls elaborate on the above? You mean you didn't call NVC to be informed by them that your petition has been received by them? QQ had to call the US embassy in Singapore? Hmm but I thought once the petition has been received by NVC, a different case no specific to the country will be issued...correct me if I'm wrong. So did QQ call the embassy with the WAC no? Coz if that's the case, I might wanna do that too...

And.. BEST OF LUCK FOR QQ's INTERVIEW!! It's the 23rd today now in Singapore. Let us know how it went!! :D:thumbs: I'm sure it will go fine! ;)

  7. Hi Rambaldi...jeez still no NVC? But 3 weeks to NVC is better than the 3+ months at CSC. Should be any day for you. The whole process is inconsistent.

Hey Tom, yeah still no NVC. :( Though we only used the NVC automated system, and didn't talk to the operator. Entered our WAC receipt no, and all we got was:

"We have no record of your case here. You have either entered an incorrect receipt no, or your case is still not received by us."

I just want to know though, is the NVC automated system reliable? What's the difference between the automated system versus talking to a real person? Anybody?

  8. this thread seems to be dead already.. i guess I'm the only left with no noa2 huhuhuhuh.. but in reality i know there are still some out there in the same boat as I am..

So sorry to hear about your RFE kits, here's hoping that you'll get your NOA2 very soon! Hang in there! Maybe you'll have better luck with NVC, coz even though we have our NOA2, some of us don't seem to have any luck with NVC, they still don't have our petitions yet!:wacko::cry:

  9. Hey my April filers,

I've been MIA for the past 2 weeks, coz my fiance was visiting in town, and we've been busy just catching up with friends and family.....

I involved my Congressman yesterday and was pleased to get an very polite and attentive visa assistant. I was informed today that my case was expedited to NVC. Now all I have to do is get an appointment, any appointment, and she will then call again and get that expedited up. Man, do I feel lucky. I recommend seeing if you are also so lucky to have good representation...For once in the last few months I feel good about this process. Now I have an ally within the same government that takes eons to approve our petitions.

Thanks Deron my friend for creating this thread! Now that my fiance's back in the US, he called NVC, but no, they don't have our petition yet. :( It has been 22 days...awww :crying: I'm so envious of you now!! How did you contact your congressman?

  10. Approved!!!!!

Mel's mom, just called and told me that the approval notice arrived in the mail yesterday. Notice Date 08/01/07.

Believe me, the rest of you guys are going to get your approvals very soon.

    Congrats fellow April 10 NOA1er!! :D:dancing:

Isn't it just weird that some of you guys' online statuses work and some just have to wait for the hardcopy of the NOA2?? gee USCIS! <_<:P

  11. Well finally!! NOA-2 dated August 6 - 118 days from the first notice date.

Congrats to everyone who got approved, looks like CSC is back on track!

FINALLY!!!!!!!!!! WE ARE APPROVED!!!!!  :crying::dance: *mixed emotions*

CONGRATS Blues Fairy and DeeZee!! It's about dang time for you guys!! Fellow April 10 NOA1ers! I'm so happy for you!!:jest::dancing:

And CONGRATS to all who have just been approved!! YAY!! Looks like CSC is finally doing their job!! :dancing::thumbs:

  12. hey guys ,i am new here.We got our NOA1 in MAY 1,2007,it's been over 3 months,we haven't got our NOA2 yet,any of you guys got NOA2 yet? Any ideas what we should do? Wish you guys good luck with the approval.

Hi lyly, welcome to VJ! :jest:

Sit tight and don't worry too much, this is quite normal. I'm an April filer, and we only got our NOA2 after 112 days from the date of our NOA1! Half of the April filers also haven't gotten approved yet, so you're not the only one! In the meantime, have you registered for an account on Case Service Status Online? That way you can check whether any processing action has been taken on your case. :)

  13. Still nothing. Are we the earliest NOA-1 still untouched? This is so unfair.

Blues Fairy, I know how you feel, I've been through it myself. This is quoted by Deron, an April 11 filer in another thread.

Is it just me or has anyone of us have noticed that April 12 NOA1 are stuck!? I mean before the 12th and after 12th they are all gettting assigne, touched, and approved... what's up?

There are still many 9th, 10th, and 11th filers yet to be processed. The 12th hasn't come up yet probably because the dates before it aren't complete, including many on the 9th. The 10th has 2 of 7 CSC/TSC/NSC approved and and the 11th has 1 of 6, the same ratio as the 12th. There is no justified reason to think you are 'stuck' at this time, we will be approved soon.

So keep the faith! I'm sure you'll be approved very soon!! No touches doesn't mean that they're not looking! Sometimes that 1 touch can be your touch of approval!

  14. I know that.. but what about the after?

I can understand how you're feeling, I've been through that, but you have to remember that VJ is only but a smart proportion of petitions CSC adjudicate. There are far more out there that we are not able to account for. Do try to stay positive, and hang in there. They will get to you.

Ok, I can't seem to update my previous post, I wanna edit the VJ is only but a small proportion of petitions CSC adjudicate line.

  15. Still nada, as of today. My fiance is calling US-Sickos every three days, the file is not even routed to an adjudicator yet. What kind of ####### is this?!!

I'm so sorry to hear that Blues Fairy! :( But don't worry, coz we didn't get touched before the NOA2 anyway, so it may be the same for you, hang in there, I'm sure they will get to you very soon! *hugs*
