Thank you all! We got the official letter today. It seems that it is the birth certificate. But, I will upload letter as soon as I am able so I can get help/confirmation.

Still waiting on my letter, hoping it comes tomorrow! Did they lose your birth certificate?

So my interview is tomorrow, strangely for me, I'm not nervous at all... Hope it goes smooth :)

    Best of luck!

Ours have not changed at all, no RFEs (hoping it is staying that way).  We had our biometrics on October 17th at Orlando.  The status changing is a 50/50 hit or miss.  Our K1 case until this day says "Case Received" and not only were we approved, he traveled, is now my husband, AND we are already in the AOS, AP, and EAD process.  That goes to show you that it is helpful for the status to change but not needed to move through.  Hahaha

Also hoping it stays at no RFE!

I am on the same boat. My biometrics were done on October 2nd,  and the current status is fingerprint review was completed (2 months now). It hasn’t changed to *case is ready to be scheduled* NO RFE’s. Very frustrating:/

Status changes are not guaranteed sometimes they change sometimes not. My K1 still shows case received and that was back on May 2018 when it was received. I would not worry to much about the status' on USCIS website not changing.

I guess it’s just having to remain patient (which obviously I knew came with this whole process), but boy is it getting difficult! I check the case status ALL the time like a crazy person 😂 but, remaining calm and wishing everyone luck!

  3. Hey September friends!

Are there any here who are still waiting on their case status to change to Ready to Schedule Interview that haven’t had an RFE? My Biometrics was done on October 17th, and nothing since then. I wonder if there’s a chance where statuses don’t even get changed on the site sometimes?

Anyways, hoping for speedy timelines for everyone!  😁

Its policy a DOD DEERS policy they have to issue the dependent ID in whatever name  the SSN is listed as. I never knew that, it's a good thing her card came in today because I would not have  been able to get her ID without a SSN. What a lucky  shot. So my wife's ID is in her maiden name too. Easy to fix though with a SSN, Driver License, passport or a state ID in the married  name. So yes after the GC. The main thing is  we got the SSNs and dependent IDs. Good going guys.

DEERS gave me a temporary Dependent ID with a temporary SSN, so I have to go back once I receive my EAD to get my permanent dependent ID. Or is it after GC? I can’t remember! Anyways, happy that your lady is able to get her ID now and received her SSN card! Good stuff.

We are doing well. Married back at the beginning of March. Sent our AOS back in April and had it shot back to us to re-send again May. Also had an RFIE. 🙄 Was not on our game as much compared to the first part of the process. All is well now and we are preparing info to try and expedite our EAD card. Hindsight, I would have done the K2/CR1 process, but not the end of the world. We are making it and so happy to be together.

Happy to hear you're moving along swiftly! What did you get an RFE for if I may ask? I'm about to send my AOS off and am worried I don't have everything together, despite doing a bunch of research. Hope you get your EAD expedited!

Sounds good! Don't forget your 2 passport photos (2in x 2in / 5cm x 5cm). It's the first thing they check before you actually enter the consulate building. Best of luck, and don't stress! Everything will go smoothly :)

    Hello! Congrats!

What do you mean by tax transcripts? Our attorney told us to gather tax returns. What exactly is a tax transcript? I see on the IRS website there are return transcripts, record of account transcript, account transcript, and wage & income transcript to download.

    Thank you!

She asked for the i-134 Affidavit of Support and then when I gave the tax returns, she said, "No, I actually need the tax transcripts." I'm not sure why they say tax returns on the Packet 3 then? She also asked for Letter from Employer, etc.

Your fiancé can get tax transcripts either online or mailed. Here's the link - https://www.irs.gov/individuals/get-transcript

Hope this helps! Just be over-prepared so you minimize the chances of needing to send in more evidence after the interview.

  9. I had my interview yesterday, we got approved!! I just wanted to find out if the Ceac site changes to Administrative Processing for all K1 visas once approved?

Tip - If you have an upcoming interview in winter, bring warm clothes! We waited in the courtyard and it was rather chilly! Also make sure you have tax transcripts, they don't actually want tax returns, but rather tax transcripts. But bring everything!
