You could write a letter to your IO officer who took your interview with local office address, it says in the paper you received after interview.  But I am hopeful that you will hear good news soon.

Thanks Dilip, I already wrote a text through their website, but no response. Also, I made inquiry on I-751 even i didn't hit 19 month yet. And called 800 number and nobody give me anything useful.

The officer told me after my interview that I will get N-14 RFE by mail in a week, nut nothing happen yet. You mean just write a regular email send it ti him by mail?? Sorry this situation get me s mad.

My experience today closely mirrored yours @David1987!

My status now shows: New Card is Being Produced as well as Oath Ceremony Will Be Scheduled.

I will update my timelines and provide more info on my experience later - it's off to dinner now for a small celebration. The big celebration is hopefully only a few weeks away!!!

Enjoy your ceremony on Monday @dilip

    Congratulations,

How long it took to get the approval after your interview. I have my interview on June 26 which is 16 days ago whiteout hearing anything, also my online still shows interview notice, no updates. Did anyone has the same experience. I start getting anxious.

Had my interview today. Decision cannot be made. I was told I’d receive a letter in 1 to 3 months that would either be a RFE or a congratulations letter.

Interview lasted 45+ minutes. There was a second IO present in the room who did not speak much but who walked me out. Anyone had a similar experience?

    Hello,

I hope you doing well and you got your approval already. I had a closer situations. The officer told me you wilt a letter by mail for RFE which is N-14. but I didn't get anything for 2 weeks, and the online still showing interview notice.

Some people had luck to get combine interview and got both approved.  Case like me and a few other on this board  only N-400 interview and no decision can be made and waiting game again.  I am also now wondering whether I did or didn't do the right thing  apply N-400  while I-751 is still pending.  Time will tell.

The same here, Did you get RFE N-14?

I had my interview yesterday in Milwaukee. I have never felt so attacked. I have ROC pending and I was reading on VJ that Milwaukee doesn’t do combo interview anymore, so i got to confident and didn’t bring any docs besides the ones needed for the naturalization, i know, big mistake and You have no idea how much I regret it and I can’t stop thinking about it.

Anyways, since I arrived, the guy seemed pissed, while all other interviewers were smiling and saying hello, not mine. When I told him hello, he barely answer me. As soon as we got into his office he treated me like #######, and started attacking me and bombarding me with questions, so first I got really nervous and then I stared getting pissed and my answers were in a defensive mode. He started saying that my green card was expired (duh, that’s why i have a ROC) and that my extension letter was expired, which is not, it expires August this year, buy me being nervous I couldn’t think well and I was just getting more and more nervous, in a fraction of a second i was able to think and tell him that it expires in August. The guy will talk so fast and ask questions one after another and i could barely think or remember things. Then he left my green card and extension letter and he returned, he did the naturalization test extremely fast that i could barely understand what he was saying, he didn’t look at me once, but anyways I passed.

he gave me a letter saying that a decision can not be made now and told me he is waiting Texas to send more docs from my ROC and that with the (few) things I gabe him (i made him pull docs from the N400 submission) he could made a decision about it otherwise he will request more docs.  And i feel like really? At this part of the process I’m going to get a RFE? Why these people didn’t requested it when i submitted my ROC in November 2017 and my extension letter is about to expire?  Anyways, i do expect to be requested more docs, since this guy seemed to be willing to make it hard for me. He says that he hopes that in 3 weeks he can have an answer.

I almost had the same situation, at the end of the interview, he gave me the letter said decision can't be made and N-14 will be send. This was June 26th, nothing updated yet. did you get the RFE or any update?

Nov 2017 ( ROC, VSC EAC 18061XXXX) pending, Nov 2018 N-400.  Went for interview June 28, 2019 ( Philadelphia), Passed N-400, but decision can't be made at this time, since I-751 is pending.  Asked about the status of I-751, IO refused to say anything about it.  Said will review your case and update the status.  So not clear the outcome. No discussion about I-751 during interview.  Only N-400 interview.

He should give you N-652, what's in there, just marked on decision can't be made?

I almost have the same situation last Wednesday June 26, but he said will mail me N-14 for more documents.

  8. Hello All,

I had my interview last Wednesday June 26th, and It was combo. The officer went through I-751 first with too much of silly questions, then N-400, and civics / English exam. At the end the told me that they will send me N-14 requesting more documents (W2 even I have tax return for the last 4 years and proof that the person I rent my place from he is the owner of the house).

Does any one has this experience, and know how long will it takes?

If you use the VJ search box, there are actually several discussions about the N-14 form. Check it out. The first 4 or 5 results are sponsored ads, but if you scroll down to VJ links, you will see forum pages:

    Hope this helps!

    Thanks.

My husband had his citizenship interview on Saturday. He passed the civics and English exam and was told all his papers were in order. However, he has a pending I751, the file was on the officer's desk and for whatever reason he couldn't adjudicate that one while we were there. He said he was sending it back to be processed, which confuses me because I thought if you came up to an N400 interview then your applications would be processed together. Because of the I751, he gave my husband an N-652 which had the box checked for "Please follow instructions on N14" then handwritten "I-751 pending". Neither box is checked for "Congrats your application has been recommended for approval" or "A decision cannot yet be made". I had thought that the N400 being at this point would have forced the I751 to be processed.

Has anyone heard of this before? Or have you experienced it yourself? If so, what happened? The I-751 has been pending for 21 months now and I'm so worried that the fact that they didn't adjudicate it at the interview means we've been sent back to wait for months and months to hear some updates.

I had the same situation yesterday June 26, 2018. I passed everything but the officer gave me N-652 and he said I will receive N-14 in the mail. He was asking very insignificant questions about the place I live in and how I have a lease from a person not a company, and keep saying this illegal and keep making up words and situations by his own like sublease, and mortgage and other things. Then he asked about my tax I gave him my tax return for the last 4 years so he asked for W2, how would i file tax return without W2? IDK. at the end said decision can't be made, good luck... what does that means, and what happen after that, and how long this will take????

    thanks.

Thanks. IO did not gave me a N-14 form.  IO gave me the N-652 form only. Maybe they will mail the form.

Hello, I hope everything went well with you. Could you please let me know how long it takes to get N-14 and did they send you the oath yet or not?

Hi @mz_066  Sorry to hear that. Do you mind elaborate on the leas issue IO addressed? I submitted several leases including one lease from my friend / landlord who rent us a room, I dont know if he put that income in his tax filing, do you think that would be a problem? This is literally the first time i see someone posting such issue from IO for I-751... I hope you get the good news soon!

Also I didnt submit any W2, only TAX return and tax transcript for every year... my lawyer said ok, but now im worried!

it's not a problem at all, he just give me hard time for no reason, if landlord didn't declare this income into his tax this not my problem, I pay rent, he give me a space, that's it.

just try to take some proofs that you pay rent and W2 as well in your interview.
