  1. I am a u.s citizen my spouse is not.  Last year I received the third stimulus only due to her not having a ssc# yet.   She received her ssc# this summer late 2021 after the third stimulus ,   Does she qualify for a recovery rebate credit for third stimulus since she had her ssc# in 2021 but after the initial payment.  Thanks.

  2. Trying to get drivers license the license bureau says I need ssc ineligible letter since I  have not received my ssc# yet been waiting over a year.    Anyone know how to get the ineligibility letter  I do not see option online and our local ssc office is closed except for appointment and have been unable to talk to a human on the phone   Thanks

  3. was married in april 2020. I the US citizen received the stimulus payment amounts for being single  i was finishing turbo tax  and it asks me about stimulus

(Quote turbotax) In general, taxpayers without an eligible Social Security number are not eligible for the payment. However, this law allows for married taxpayers filing jointly where one spouse has a Social Security number and one spouse does not, to be eligible for a payment of $600, in addition to $600 per child with a Social Security number.""     is this correct that my foreign spouse does receive the stimulus?   even though we are just now submitting w7 with the tax return to receive her itin#

Adding her to your health insurance, beneficiary of your will, IRA/401k, ...  keep gathering evidence as this will add up towards the interview.  Ask the attorney what type of evidence you can use .. at least make the attorney do some work !

Well before the interview I’m sure we would have enough evidence because she would have her ssc ead# , and I could add her to everything , I meant rfe, before the interview I will see if I can add to my 401k without ssc good idea

  6. we were married in US from k1 visa i hired a lawyer to do our case he submitted it and he was worried we may receive a rfe for more evidence and to continue getting evidence in case we , which i find is hard because spouse does not have ssc number yet so i cannot add her to my bank etc.

we did a civil wedding and planned on doing regualar wedding later when we have time to prepare..

    the evidence we sent was

    1.  20 photos together

    2.   copy of my credit card statement showing her using a card i put in her name

3,   copies of required items wedding license etc,

    4. 2 different receipts showing online purchases she made sent her to my address in the united states

I really dont know how to obtain more evidence before she receives or how they expect much evidence of joint accounts in 90 days without a  ssc#

  7. I was married on k1 and now am applying for adjustment of status for my last name do I use my spouses last name us citezen, or my maiden name i assume only use maiden name where it asks for previous names but not sure,

  9. We are submitting adjustment of status and affidavit, my issue is I work in a union so we work seasonal March-dec and are laid off for 3 months and receive unemployment income, which is 470$ week. My tax return I am submitting to the irs for current will show I earned 65,000$  but my current income since on unemployment will look like I don’t make enough even though I do for the year in total,   Advice on what to do thanks. Or is the income requirement proof only needed for the interview?

  10. k1 We had our interview today Santo Domingo with many red flags.  Was in line and wait was about 4 hours

at interview we speak different languages they asked 1. how we communicate, Skype translator they asked if it was a issue we explained it how were ok with it and how we understand some, as fiancée is currently in English course,  They asked me the petitioner if I sent her money, I said yes every couple weeks, like 250 usd I submitted a previous 129f for my previous spouse they asked many questions about her,,   Then they separated us and told one to sit down while the other was questioned...    and the proceeded to as financee about my 16 year old misdemeanor marijuana charge which she already knew about , then made her sit and, asked me further questions about my ex wife and marijuana charge I told them it was 16 years ago I just graduated high school I was dumb had 1 gram. And about the ex wife I just told them how it didn’t work lost feelings hard to elaborate..   they asked me how much I made a month and what I did.  I old then I had affidavit showing income and receipts showing money and all of our extra evidence but he didn’t ask for any for some reason.  Just questions..  eventually after about 10-15 minutes we we passed and informed fiancée how passport would be delivered..   if we can pass with language barrier and previous i129 petition and new marriage proposal soon after previous divorce, then I feel anyone should pass unless they hiding something really bad Or completely lie and everyone was extremely nice except the guards at the outside gate lines by the road they were rude to us

I did k1, usually you need wait until the case says ready to schedule interview.

the case status change from at nvc to in transit ( that mean nvc send case to embassy). , then change to ready ( mean you can schedule your interview).

soon you will get a letter from nvc and an email too, print the email and take that to your medical exam.

for medical exam: passport, dominican cedula, email from nvc and confirmation page from I-160. ( same for consulate interview)

  12. So I’m wanting to make sure we are doing this correctly,  so I reposted,   We Called received case/invoice # from nvc   I submitted ds-160  and paid the 265$ vac fee and set appointment for biometric and embassy interview a month apart.         Is this the correct steps for this country we never received a letter or email from nvc,,   And when I track case it just says “at nvc
