I did a bit of analysis on this, grabbing the last 1000 entries from people that have received their NOA2 for an I-129F/K-1s (basically, anyone that received a NOA2 in January-May 2019). This list was also filtered to only included people whose applications were being processed at the California Service Center (since that's all I care about for my own situation).  I found that there is some evidence that many people are receiving a response around 13 weeks (about 90 days) from their NOA1 date, and my assumption is that that's the timeframe when many people get their first response from USCIS.  If their application was good, then that first response is their NOA2. Otherwise, the first response is an RFE (Request For Evidence).  In that case, there is another spike of NOA2's at 16-22 weeks after NOA1, which presumably is when most people get their RFE's cleared up and get their NOA2.

So, if your NOA1 date is in mid-April, it seems likely that you'll get a response in early July. If your application was good, then that'll be your NOA2.  If you get an RFE, then you'll have to respond and you'll likely get your NOA2 sometime between late July and mid-September. If you average out all of these timelines, then the average person might get their NOA2 sometime in late July.  But many people will get it significantly earlier, and many will get it later.

    Congrats on the first step.

Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline OR your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile. If you look at the profile of others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine their Embassy. The country that should be used is the country where the interview will take place.

So, if you could help yourself out and complete your profile that sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question with factual information.

Go to the top right of this page select your name (it's on the upper right-hand corner)>my profile>[below your picture on the right column] edit my profile. Scroll to the bottom and fill in "Immigration Info". There now we can better serve you.

Once you finish that then return and you will see a flag in your profile. Select it and see what wonderful information will open up for you.

    Thanks

Anyone else noticing their NOA2 estimated time creeping slowly forward! That's promising! Ours has moved almost a whole week forward since getting our NOA1.
