    How did it go

    Super quick and easy.

Combo interview. I-751 was mostly just verifying the information because we moved.

N-400, my wife got 6/6 questions right. He said this was one of the easiest cases and gave us the approval right on the spot for both I-751 and N-400. Oath ceremony official letter should come soon, and the ceremony is in ~2 weeks!

i'd think if you have concurrent filing you'd bring anything pertaining to both?

    But wait, wouldn't the N-400 supercede (?) the I-751?

Yeah, this is why I'm confused.  I've read that they often do "combo" interviews, i.e., the I-751 for 5 minutes, before the N-400, so maybe it's best to just print out and bring everything pertaining to both.

I passed my citizenship interview today. Here is what happened during the interview.

The officer asked for my full time and she went right into the civics test.

    1. What does the Constitution do?

    2. When was the Constitution written?

    3. Who is in charge of the executive branch?

    4. What are two major political parties in the United States?

    5. Name one right only for United States citizens.

    6. What is the highest court in the United States?

The sentence I had to read was: "How many Senators do we have?"
The sentence I had to write was: "We have one hundred (I spelled it out) Senators."

The N-400 questions are primarily about the security questions. Lots of them. The Yes or No questions in that form.

This is a marriage case but surprisingly my officer (who was by the way extremely nice) did ask anything about my spouse. The only thing she asked about us was if we had any proof that we are living together, to which I gave her tax return, copies of my car registration (2), latest bank statement and a letter from my mother in law.

My Oath ceremony is next Wednesday 10/26. Surprisingly, I guess they are trying to pack that date to the fullest and luckily I and many others were given that date.

My USCIS office is in Sacramento California.

Awesome to hear! Our USCIS office is Sacramento as well.

I obviously submitted all of our documentation with the N400 application (joint bank statements, insurance policies, etc.), but since my wife and I moved across the country, do you think it's best to bring new documentation showing the new address as well?

[1] Contacting USCIS and letting them know you moved will only delay your process, but it is the most ethical thing to do, besides your oath letter would be sent to that mail.

[2] I think I would keep the interview and try to delay the moving process another 2 months.

[3] OR I would attend the interview, and let them know that I did indeed move, and update my file then.  They may continue to process it in that office or send it over to the other office and then you would have to just do the interview all over again.

[4] ORRRRR if you dont mind flying back twice one for the interview and the other for the oath ceremony, not mentioning the move at all that would be at your risk.  As you know one of the requirements is proving good moral character.

I assume it would essentially put her back to the beginning of the queue in the new jurisdiction/office?

Unfortunately, we're closing on our home (sale) in a few weeks, so it's not really possible to delay the move.

Attending the interview and updating the address at the interview sounds kind of risky.

    I feel like it's a choice between Option 1 and Option 4.

  5. I just received the following notice for transfer.

"We have completed a preliminary review of the application or petition listed above. We transferred your case to the following USCIS office listed below so an interview for your case can be scheduled: National Benefits Center..."

What does this mean? Just a routine transfer? We submitted her N-400 concurrently, which is with the national benefits center as well. Is this why?

    Hello March filers,

Submitted my file yesterday online. Got the receipt notice but not bio reuse. Just had my interview cleared for i-751 as well on 3/7/22. Actually got the i-751 cleared in a year ( filled feb 21) which i think was a fair time.

N-400 Showing 19 months as of now. LOL. one last hurdle and hopefully i  never have to face them again... :P

Hey, did you login, and then select "Documents" rather than "Case History"? My biometric reuse letter is located there

October filer here invading your thread for mercenary reasons.  For those filers who are being handled by the Vermont Service Center, how have you found their turnaround time?  Their processing time is currently listed as 10-21 months (that's quite a gap) but don't know if those on the higher end (15-21 months for example) are more complicated cases... or maybe cases that are light on evidence.

My wife and I will be sending in our package soon (targeting next week) so just trying to understand how the Vermont experience has been from people who sent in their package earlier this year.  Appreciate any perspective.  Good luck to all.

I have heard nothing since April when my wife's biometrics were waived. So that's, what about 6 months now?

    Send Feb 26 2021

    received March 2 2021

received text March 31 2021, my case is at the Vermont center

case was updated to show fingerprints were taken. April 13, 2021.

I have the same thing online: As of April 13, 2021, fingerprints relating to your Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence, have been applied to your case.

What exactly does that mean? No need for future biometrics? Or just that the case is progressing?
