    Hello ! Congratulations! I wonder why it takes so long for them to schedule Oath ceremony? I see some people wait 10 days and more to get one .

    I’m not rude . I said if it’s not W-2 work, then the applicant needs a proofs that he paid his self employed taxes. I already heard about two cases where people were asked to show the tax scrips and payments proof . One of them had 4-5 months delay in her case after the interview, because she didn’t bring it to the interview. She has a company who provide services applying for a different types of visa, green card lottery, etc , and even she didn’t know that. So I really suggest all people who are self employed / business owners considering bring this documentation just in case .

    Oh really? Then, maybe you know better than immigration officers who ask about proof of payments after checking the actual paper tax transcript.

    May I please ask when did they place you line ( or when did you have an interview)? I wonder how long it takes them to schedule an Oath after the interview?

    If you / your spouse work for W-2 and got a refund it’s because your taxes deducted from your paychecks , however , people get a refund without paying any taxes ( dependents - kids, small income ).

    I would also take a proof that your taxes was paid for at least 2023 ( bank statements where it shows if it’s not W-2 work ).

    Yes, actually I received my email 3 hours before my interview. At that moment I thought they canceled or rescheduled my interview. Since I’m very superstitious, I’ll provide more information about interview ( it wasn’t easy) when I get a response from them.

    Thanks. Yes, I did check everything. What I thought- we received this message when they actually open our case and started working on it. I‘ll update more information when I get it .
