well, the L2 customer support told me that there's not much they can do (USCIS) but wait from the FBI result that will submit, otherwise the computer will display that FBI check is already completed and transferred to local FO for interview schedule.  It has something to do the fbi office of when they're going to submit the result to uscis because I do believe it is processed by batch in the order received, regardless of when you asked about your name check in your own efforts. And consider also, there are still plenty of applicants ahead of us.

LOL..Good move, I think.. Yah, the more we expect the N400 soon, the more frustration...I guess we better not expect much on this wait anymore, less frustration, peace of mind..

LOL.. I spoke to tier 2 customer support a few minutes ago. And based from his answers, it looks like the delay for most applicants is due to the FBI processing due to backlogs on their end & not the NBC otherwise if there's a problem with an application in regards to the paper works, the NBC will send a letter asking for more documents. And considering they have an issue with the software bg check, this will create more delays. I guess we are in a bad situation for this delay...Oh myyy

many similar threads, get over the personal hurt and realize that moving on is the best course of action. Hanging on to anger is not healthy

I'm losing hope in my application  (sigh).  3 mos. & 2 weeks have passed, no interview letter receive. I was tracking 2 applications in other site with same FO as mine, they got interview letters 2-3 mos. after PD...Life is definitely UNFAIR...

First off, give them what they want, get what you need. Then, go after them and demand explanation.

it's alright.  I see, you are in NBC processing center same with mine.  Until now, I haven't received any interview letter, I'm worried too of the delay. Some of my processing info for guidance, to see if some NBC filers got stuck as well:

Those are spectacular yet exceptional cases, it is not worth comparing your case to those fast-track cases, I don't know underlying reasons that make them to be processed so fast, but by now we already know we are not one of them.  

some are very lucky, they have speedy process.
