Hello Kris,
I'm sorry, I should update right away but was so busy celebrating lol
I am an American now! Could not be happier! Long journey is finally over... 
Ceremony was scheduled at 9:00 AM, so me and my family arrived at 8:30AM. It took about 2 hours to check our Naturalization Certificates for errors and return green cards. For 39 people this seems a bit too long but ok.
All was checked and done and by 11:00AM Ceremony should have starting. But judge showed up around 11:20AM and then Ceremony started.
Judge took word first and told us his family story how a bit over 100 year ago his great grandfather at age of 12 on his own arrived on a ship to NYC and so on.
Then USCIS officer told us the process and that we will become Americans right after we take an Oath. And if can't see us taking Oath (lips should moving ) we can't become Americans
So they asked us to stand up for the Oath one-by-one and once all 39 have risen the judge started to read the Oath and we were repeating after him.
Then about 5 people from the Government took word to represent them selves and welcome us as new Americans. After that another guy started calling us by names to issues as the Naturalization Certificates and welcome letters from the President, Governor, Senator and Representative. That was nice.
Hereafter we stood up one last time and bell ringers ensemble played the National Anthem. Right after that the Ceremony was over.
In the hallway I registered for the vote  and my family and myself went to the nice American steakhouse to celebrate.

After a few days, if you desire, you can check the status on your passport at:  https://passportstatus.state.gov/  There, we entered our email address for updates via email too.  I liked the email updates because they sent us a tracking number for the passport they mailed to us via USPS Priority.  Your Cert. of citizenship will be returned via USPS first class mail in a large envelope.  If you applied for a passport card, that will be mailed to you in a USPS first class letter size envelope.  And don't forget to sign your passport!

I never saw a valid reason to get the card since it has limited use as compared to a full passport.

Congratulations !!!  It will come sooner or later.  At least the waiting period of test & interview is finally over, which is a big relief.

First, on the certified true copy.  I made an appointment with infopass.  Two weeks later at the appointment my wife took the original certificate and a photocopy.  After some confusion, she did get a certified true copy.  The true copy was our photocopy with a big stamp on the back with annotations, certificate number, initials, etc.  They also attached a form letter to the new certified true copy.  Gosh, it looked so good and authoritative.
 
The wife sent the passport application along with the “certified true copy.”  This was my suggestion because the DOS website’s instructions were written where it could be understood that the true copy was good enough.
Not so, at least for my wife. 
 
4 weeks after mailing the passport application, w/certified true copy, she received an email, and copy of same in postal mail, requesting the ORIGINAL certificate.  At this point we just caved and sent in the original as the DOS email requested.  4 more weeks later the passport, original certificate and certified true copy were received in the mail within 2 days of each other.  Oh yes, and passport card was received too because she applied for that also.
 
Total lost time was 6 weeks:  2 weeks for infopass appointment and 4 weeks for DOS to send letter requesting original certificate.

Today I had an interview... Conclusion is decision can not be made or so...  I've no clue why...
Arrived 30 min prior to interview, was called by IO in about 40 min.
So I have sworn to tell the truth etc. IO started with my application yes/no questions first, all went well.
Then he asked me to write Columbus Day is in October and read Washington is the Capital of the United States. 
After that he said he'll ask me 10 civic questions and once I get him 6 correct answers test will be completed.
Questions were so easy but I remember only 5:
Who is the father of the USA?
How many justices in Supreme court?
When do we celebrate Independence Day?
When both POTUS and VP can't serve, who becomes the POTUS?
One part of the Government?
...........
 
I was pretty sure I did well. But then IO said even though you passed the test I can not approve your application because I had no chance to study your file yet, but I think I will approve your case this afternoon...
Should I explain what I felt? 
At the end he said... Congratulation!
With what though? Not being approved? 
He was not super friendly, but he was not sarcastic either I guess...
Called to attorney right after and he assured me that it will not take more than 120+ (60 to 90) days... So, another long wait for me...

Finished my interview this morning, it went well.  The IO seemed to have studied already my application because she's very familiar with my files from the very beginning how I entered in the US.  Very respectful and I felt at ease.  IO went over my application to review my filled-up answers and verify it with me.  Then, proceeded to the tests.
 
First part was reading and written test.  IO asked me to read what was written:  "Who lives in the White House?".  Then asked to write the answer:  "The President lives in the White House."
 
Second part was the civic test, 6 questions:
 
  1.  Name 2 National US Holidays?   
     My answers:  Independence Day,  Thanksgiving
 
  2.  Where is the Statue of Liberty?
      My Answer:  Liberty Island
 
  3.  What movement tried to end racial discrimination:
      Answer:  Civil rights movement
 
  4.  What is one promise you make when you become a United States citizen?
      My Answer:  Obey the laws of the United States
 
  5.  Who is the Governor of  ?
     My Answer: J.... etc. (governor of your state)
 
  6.   Who was the first President?
     Answer:  George Washington
 
After the civics test, IO handed me the printed information that will appear in the Naturalization Certificate (according to her), to make sure the information is all correct.  She then gave me the recommendation approval letter & told me to wait for a few weeks for the Oath letter schedule.  I thanked the IO and she congratulated me.
 
Thanked God, this is almost over.
 
To those who are still waiting for the interview letter, I hope you guys will receive it soon.  I understand the wait is very agonizing and depressing but sooner or later you will get there.  
 
As for Deribas_Alma-Ata ,   I wish you "Good luck"  in your upcoming interview.   All the best for you.

Dec. 21, my status online changed to "Interview Scheduled". Received a text message as well at 3:00 PM sharp on same date.

I can only speculate.  More than likely the FBI is done on the checking  (9-10 mos.  the longest average wait from what I read)  however,  it's the NBC office who is going the further name check because when you called they said "it's on hold" otherwise they would just say "FBI check not yet complete".  Anyway, We'll hope for the best outcome.

Just for an update, I talked to Level 2 officer today and told me about the status of my application has no problem otherwise he would send a letter for further info and is "in-line" as of today etc.    So, I can't say for sure if the officer is telling the truth or not until I have the interview letter.  

Well - now the online system is stating that they have an interview scheduled...

I've no movement as well... almost 10 months from PD, no news..I've read a news last week that the delays of USCIS N400 is mainly due to the double increase of applications...from around 300K+ last year to 700K+ this year..And that leaves some of us here hanging specially when our name fall in the hit list of similar names in the BC which takes it much longer than the average processing time...I've watched the first 5 numbers above mine in case status and surprisingly a number before mine was scheduled interview 10 days after the first 3 numbers have been scheduled...So slow, very terrible.  And it's the NBC who will schedule it not the local USCIS office as what most filers thought.
