WE HAD OUR INTERVIEW YESTERDAY AND WERE APPROVED ON THE SPOT! AND GOT A NOTIFICATION THAT GREEN CARD IS BEING PRODUCED! Okay, okay, no more Caps Lock! 😂

Here is our interview experience for San Diego. Our appointment was scheduled for 9 am but we arrived about 30 minutes before. It took us about 10 min to get through security because it's basically airport style and we had to take off our shoes. We went upstairs to the waiting area where there was about 20 other people waiting and we waited about 20 minutes to be called. At this point, I was pretty nervous because some of the officers we saw looked pretty stern and we saw a few people come out of rooms crying (not happy crying).

We got called in exactly at 9 am on the dot by a young officer who was dressed exactly like my husband! We went into the room and he had us stand to say the oath. Once we sat down, he was super chilled out and asked us for passports, my husbands UK birth certificate and our marriage certificate. He also asked us how we met! And that is literally all he asked for during the entire interview! The whole interview was much more of a conversation than anything! I came extremely over prepared with 3 folders full of evidence and copies and everything we have ever mailed to USCIS. But we didn't show him any of it. I'm assuming they feel they had enough info on us already 🤷‍♀️ I asked him if he wanted to see and keep a few of our wedding photos, which he did. He went through the i-485 questions but only a few and that was pretty much it! He said, "I'm going to approve you for the green card. Congratulations!" He walked us out and we were done! 10 minutes total! By dinner time, we got a notification that the card is being produced.

I know we had an extremely easy interview compared to some people and I'm honestly shocked by that. I walked in excited but pretty nervous! Husband was cool as a cucumber! 😂

Thanks so much for all of the support during this process! I hope you all get answers and interviews scheduled very soon!

I called USCIS 7 days after my interview because my status didn’t even change to your case is being reviewed and later that day I got updates and case approved. I don’t know if my call helped but if I were you I would try to give them a call and tell them you don’t have any updates online if it’s something wrong with it... 🤷🏽‍♀️

Oh, sorry to hear that 😞 I know how frustrating it is. I feel your pain like no one.  However, I believe you'll hear from them next week. At least, I want to believe. Anyway, the interview is a part of the past now and we just need to take a deep breath and wait 🤕👀

    Thank you!)

We had our interview on May 6. The officer warned his supervisor  would take 2 weeks to review the case, and then I should return to him.
So it took them 22 days to approve the case as we got “Card being produced” on May 28.
So give them a little more time and I am sure you are to hear from them the next week or two. 🤗

Congrats! Glad to hear that finally, your AOS journey has come to an end 😊😊😊 Now you can relax and enjoy your life without any restrictions!! 😃 Can I bother you with couple questions?Did your online status change right after the interview or you guys had to wait for several days? We had our interview in Baltimore on May 16th. My Case Tracker status changed on «Interview was completed and the case must be reviewed» only week after the actual date of interview. So I'm wondering whether we’re going to hear from them three weeks after appointment or three weeks after day our status changed. Our layer said that it usually takes three weeks for Baltimore USCIS to make a decision
    Thank you 😊

    👋Hi guys!

    AOS approved - May 28
    Card Sent - May 30
Card picked up by the USPS - May 31
Card in the received - June 1 (seeing it in the informed delivery 🤩)

So in our case it took 5 days from Card being produced to Card received in the mail.

Wishing you all good luck! ✌️✌️✌️

And to those in despair - my previous weekend was the darkest in my life - right before the good news arrived. It’s always the darkest before the dawn 🤗🤗🤗

Hey, guys! Just found out that two days ago my status has been updated to “Your interview was scheduled” does it mean that interview’s  gonna occur within one month or the waiting time can be longer? All the websites that I looked through said that it’s true and the interview will happen in 4-5 weeks after that update. However, maybe some of you have different opinion?
    Thank You
And congrats on your updates! Hopefully, all the worries are left behind and we all will continue on fight for our happiness. ☺️❤️

I truly don’t understand why people are so anxious about receiving green card as soon as possible. Your main goal is to collect and generate joint assaults. More time you have before the actual interview than more documents and other evidence you can show to USCIS. As a result, more than likely, your case will be approved. I would be more nervous to go to the interview without any joint bank account statements,  health insurance cards etc.

I think that it would look like fraud if HE sent money to YOU... like he paid you to get into States.
But you have the opposite situation, also you are going to sign an affidavit for him which already implies some kind of your financial support (if I am not mistaken).
