Don't wait 120 days. You can even try to call now. When I called them 36 days after interview to ask about the status, they told me everything still looks good and just to call them after March 11 (90 days since interview) if I haven't receive the oath notice by then. I called Jan. 15 and got app notification 10 days later. It doesn't mean though that my call helped push things along :)

Kind of like I need to push them to accelerate the process by calling them right? I will give it a try to see what their answers are.

I really want to get it done, big time! 'cause it's been almost 2 month now. But I will call them soon … thanks for the advice! good idea !

I think the Tampa office does both and maybe Jax. Any news yet on your end?

mine? still the same hopefully in march would be my month, I hope wouldn't be waiting til april 20th, which would be more than 120 days … I cant wait no longer than that, if that is the case, I would get infopass or something to find out!

    Thanks for asking!!

    Hi mitefa,

I'm not sure if this is the one for you (click on 2019 under Naturalization Ceremony Dates):

    https://www.dcd.uscourts.gov/naturalization-information

because for JAX Florida office, we use these two:

    http://www.flnd.uscourts.gov/nat

    https://www.flmd.uscourts.gov/naturalization-ceremonies

If not, just google 'naturalization calendar (your city or closest big city etc)'. If the above is true, there is still time for the 3/12 ceremony. I hope you get a notice this week! I got my oath letter last Friday, 7 days after app notification.

ohh I see, yours is through court, mine is administrative, through local USCIS office, on uscis website just showing time frames but I will google it to see thanks xyz12345

imho your timeline will still be much shorter than mine even with the name change. you already beat the odds by having the interview a month after the biometrics. My interview was 6 months afterwards.

mine too, 6 month after biometrics, figured I would be in similar time with xyz12345 but who knows, probably best luck will beat me but we are on our way to finalize the whole journey to become a us citizen, best of luck for us!!

hi, my online account just got updated. Pdf copy of naturalization ceremony showed 3/14/19. Hope I can get the mail copy this week. Hope you get yours soon! A be let us know.

Great!! you got it and congrats!, mine? still pending quality review recommended for approval, I just wait, sooner or later I will get it! and I will let you guys know, and congrats again!!

  9. The last email from uscis says "we are still reviewing your case and there are no updates at this time" and it was on January 15th.

I'm gonna start checking the online USCIS account. It still says it is in quality review and recommendation for approval, as of today, I have USPS informed delivery as well.

The long wait is over for you!! good for you and congrats, mine? I'll wait, hopefully mine will be soon too, since your interview date was  very similar to mine I hope..

    Thanks! When is your interview?

There is this Android app called Case Tracker for USCIS. It automatically gives you updates without you using the USCIS Case Status online website. The email and text notifications don't work anymore. The last time the email notification came up was 12/3/18 and for text, it was 1/7/19.

The online USCIS account was updated to 'We scheduled your Oath Ceremony.' The pdf document is not in there yet. They said to wait a couple of days. I have USPS informed delivery so I can also watch out for the mail. I think it'll be the 3/14 Ceremony. Anyway, I'll let you know.

Do you still get the automatic every 2-wk update notification? If not, maybe that's a sign! I hope you get yours soon!

    Hi VA/Washington DC filers-

It is hard to track each one of you and I think there is not a lot of us here on VJ.

If you are a VA/DC resident who applied for naturalization in 2018 or before. Please raise your hand and share with us your experiences.

As for myself, I have just submitted my N400 online today WITHOUT any documents because I do not have my 10-yr card in hand yet and my expired card had been taken away.

I figured I would just upload everything later when all is ready.

I'd highly appreciate whoever could let me/us know how it is/was for you at our filed office.

    Thanks again :) xoxo

I filed to become a US citizen on may 28th 2018 in Fairfax VA office I believe belongs to Washington DC office !!

imho even if recommended for approval, the only update you see on your uscis account case history is 'you attended your interview.' I think if they finally approved the application, then it will say 'We approved your application.'

I don't know for your area but over here, my friend had 107 days between interview and oath. I haven't reached that time yet but it will be 94 days for the 3/14 oath ceremony. hopefully I'll hear something in the next 3 weeks if I'm going to be part of it. If not, call USCIS again on 3/11.

Hopefully we can get our oath letters soon. Best wishes to all of us!

Let me know if you don't mind, when you receive you oath ceremony date, I will and lets see how many days it would be since interview date 'til then. thanks..

Few days ago I filled out the N400 form online and I noticed that one of the yes or no questions was not answered ?

I applied for citizenship few days ago based on marriage and suddenly after submitting the application I noticed that question "have you ever married US citizen for benefits?" Was not answered even though I remember for sure that I selected no .Also I noticed that the address of my previous work is mistakenly wrong ( switched with another employer's address). I have just been scheduled for biometrics appointment . What do I need to do to fix this mistake ? Is it a simple mistake ? And do I need to hire a lawyer ?

It happen to me too!! even in the worse part in the criminal record part!! but IO made correct it on his tablet at the time of my interview, it was the DUI that I had it long time ago 15 years ago!. I'm still waiting for my oath ceremony to be scheduled!!\

    Good luck !!

Thanks! I called USCIS this afternoon (not tier 2 though). Said that nothing changed in my applic, that everything looks good, that I'm in line for oath since Dec. 10 and to call them again if 55 more days passed without getting the oath letter. Best wishes to both of us! :)

I guess we gonna have to wait til the oath ceremony is scheduled by USCIS, I will post the date right after I see it on my uscis account or receive it by mail.

Do you think once uscis recommends for approval, we don't have to worry about it right?

In fact, they made a correction on my application in the tablet that was sitting on his IO desk at time of my interview since I got detained by ice long time ago for DUI, specifically on the criminal question of the application, I thought crimes question refers to felony charge and stuff, that's what I told IO then he made me correct the application on the tablet. I hope it doesn't interfere on the process of my application, I really hope so!!

best wishes to all of us!!

Hi, hopefully the oath ceremony schedule would be in march, thanks for the info.

I started the n-400 in june 28th, have my schedule for fingerprint june 18, and English test on December 19th, miy test was approved the same day in Washington DC (Fairfax, VA), that's it and still waiting for oath ceremony.

Order than that, I keep receiving from uscis emails saying "we are reviewing your case and there are no updates at this time"

I meant to say my schedule fingerprints was on july 18 thanks

Hello, no, I haven't received anything since my 12/10/18 interview. I am hoping for some good news within 3-4 weeks since the next oath taking ceremony in our area is March 2019 and supposedly my case completion month is April 2019.

We already have the 2019 Naturalization Calendar available online with oath ceremonies every other month in our area. It was only posted in the first week of January so I wasn't able to ask the IO about potential oath taking dates. I was hoping for this month but it didn't happen. The next one is March and then May 2019, which is past my case completion date and then July. Worse comes to worst, I will arrange my overseas trip before the May 2019 ceremony so I don't have to worry about rearranging my schedule.

I don't think (!) both our cases will go beyond 120 days but I have seen people with 94-127 days between interview and oath. In their cases though, most of them were naturalized within 6-10 months after application. Right now I'm already past the 8 month mark. When is your case completion time?

I sent an email about this subject through the USCIS account but all I got is a generic form letter/response. I was going to ask if it's possible to go beyond case completion time when approved. I'll probably have better luck if I call. I'll try to call them if I haven't heard anything in a month.

btw After the interview my automatic 2-wk email/text update notifications didn't work as it used to. No more email update and the text update has been offset by a week. I have USPS informed delivery but I guess I'll just check my account more often to see if a new update has come up.

I hope you hear good news soon!
