We filed last march 2018 until now nothing always security check super frustrated anybody what can we do about it
I’m so sorry... I wish I knew the answer. We filed on Feb 12, 2018 and still haven’t been approved 😔 However, 2 weeks ago we received an RFE (for something we already sent 😡) and I think if it wasn’t for congressional requests, we would be still waiting for any news. Maybe you try another congressman / senator that’s more empathetic and is going to insist on your behalf? The other option is the lawsuit.
I hope we don’t have to wait much longer.
My best wishes 💐

Nope. Tried another congressman and got literally the same copy and paste reply the other congressmen got from USCIS. Sent a request to my house representative for shits and giggles to see if he can get the idiots to their job.
Still waiting for news that summons were served on the lawsuit.
I’m sorry 😣
I hope you have better luck with the lawsuit 🍀

Have you tried to go them personally my fiance just make a personal appointment to talk to them and ask about it dont know what will happen but hopefully we get something from it
No, our lawyer told us the local office can’t tell you more than what they tell you over the phone. We are waiting for the Congressman to help...

I know, very sad indeed 😔 It’s been over a year for us (Filed: Feb 12, 2018 / NOA1: Feb 15, 2018) and nothing...

Definitely not the unluckiest case, still super sh*tty - still waiting with you! I think we’re breaking waiting records 😂😬😤🤬
Day 468 here...
We’re giving it a couple more months before it’s lawsuit time.
Oh no, I’m so sorry 😖 It’s been almost a year for me and I’m afraid I’m following your steps... 😢
What do they say? Did you try congressional inquiries?

278? Pft, Amateur!! I'm at 380 days!
But seriously, hope they get off their lazy a**es and finish our cases. Hopefully you're not stuck in security check, that's the worst.
Oh no, I was hoping you already heard something 😣 Did you star the lawsuit process?
295 days here and no news either 🥺 What about you @TriniGirl2?

Thanks! I hope no one has to wait as long as me. I would have filed CR-1 instead of K1 if I knew this kind of b***s*** was possible.
My sentiments exactly!

The lawsuit is a last resort and filed on the premise that the delay is unreasonable. There are laws that allow you to sue for this reason (Administrative Procedures Act, etc.), although it's not explicitly stated what is considered unreasonable and is at the discretion of the judge, typically based by districts and prior case law. I'm filing it Pro Se(by myself) because I doubt a lawyer will make any difference or do a significantly better job than me. Also cheaper! But I don't recommend it for everyone. I'll see how it goes.
Lawsuits take up to 120 days typically. Their lawyer has 60 days after receiving summons to reply, then they typically try to complete the petition within 60 days.
Thank you very much!
So sad that they have you waiting for this long and who knows for how much longer. I wish you all the best and good luck with the lawsuit. Please keep us posted, I’ll be following your case always wishing for a quick and positive resolution.

I went to the local office but they're just as useless as the phone line. I'm in NY which is basically a welfare state so you can only imagine the kind of people that are employed at USCIS here. The "immigration officer" was a 50 year old woman who couldn't even correctly print out an exit form. She printed the case number in the date area. LOL and much more mistakes...they told me no one at the office can help and refused to contact the california center. "All you can do is wait, or file an online request"
You can attempt to contact the ombudsman. Nothing to lose, but there's a 4-6 month wait so hopefully you'll be approved by then. I'm still in line, but I'm filing the lawsuit as it seems like the only thing that has true power over USCIS are the federal courts.
Thank you very much for your quick and useful answer 👍
I’m so hopeless... Our lawyer never mentioned anything about the ombudsman or a lawsuit. Thanks to your information I don’t think we’ll go to the local office (RI) and given the wait time the ombudsman doesn’t look like an option either. A lawsuit sounds so complicated... but after all this wait with no explanation as to why, I guess is the only option. Does your lawyer have experience with cases like this? I’m wondering if lawsuits do work and how long do they take...
Again, thank you very much!

364 days! 1 year anniversary of waiting tomorrow! What has it been, 4 inquiries now? Contacted ombudsman, they replied with "lol sorry 4-6 months backlog" and my senator hasn't received a reply from them after 1.5 months. Hitting them with a lawsuit in about 2 weeks. Tired of this incompetence.
Oh no, I’m so sorry 😟
We filed on February 12 and received NOA1 on February 15 and haven’t heard anything since then... We are in our second inquiry and waiting to see if our senator receives any information. Could you please tell me about the ombudsman? Do you think it is worth it? Also, have you gone to your local office? I’m thinking what else we can do...
Thank you very much in advance!

I saw some may approvals this morning and it made me sad and upset with the process. Have you all called or sent in an inquiry?
I know, I’m sorry this process has been so hard on some of us 💐 Yes, we have been calling and sent a case inquiry on Sept.25 and called over a month after that and there was still no answer 😒 We sent another inquiry. I think we are like you, we haven’t heard anything, just waiting...

Is there anyone still waiting on n02.
I feel like they have lost our package . I asked my fiance to call today, hopefully we will get some positive news. I'm happy for everyone who got their approvals, but very sad that we are still waiting. Feb 14th filer.
I am! We filed on Feb 12 and received NOA1 on Feb 15 😢 I understand, it is sad indeed. We have such an easy case and yet, we haven’t heard anything. And there are people that filed after us, even in May, that already got approved! It doesn’t make sense...
@SAlove18 and @TrickorTea what about you guys? Have you received any news?

I’m sorry that you’re here now 💐 A few of us are already 400+ 🤦♀️
We tried inquires and congressional requests, and as you may have seen a few messages above, that’s what seems to have made the trick. But it’s not the same for everyone, it depends on the congressman. In our case, they just forgot about our file until the Congressman asked about it 😣
Good luck!🍀
