My uncle has collected his passport so it was indeed ready!! Thank you so much. Men they need to update the email notification because it's so ambiguous. It should say your passport is ready for pickup..come get it!!!! Please bring the following documents along...etc. smh

Yea. They should. The notification got me confused too. Congrats to your uncle

  2. What does the notification for passport/document pickup looks like? I received this mail from UStraveldocs yesterday......

Your document(s) have been collected from the US Embassy/Consulate

The passport number being returned is

You have chosen to have your documents delivered to the following location:

Victoria Island - Lagos, DHL, Victoria Island, Lagos

If you have any issues or concerns, please contact us at www.ustraveldocs.com/ng.

Visa status shows issued on ceac website and ustraveldocs website says passport is ready for pickup. Does this mean I can go get it or I have to wait for another notification?

The police report is issued from Lagos but you can apply for it from any state. Just go to your local police department and ask for it. There's info online about how to do it and what it should look like.

It may be more expensive and it'll take longer because your info will need to be sent to Lagos.

Mine took about two weeks to come. I've heard that it can be done the same day in Lagos.

Be sure to submit the fingerprints along with the certificate to NVC/embassy.

    Thank you very much.

How much did it cost you?

Here's the information on how to obtain the police certificate : Applicants need to contact the Deputy Inspector General, Criminal Investigation Department, Nigeria Police Force, Alagbon Close, Ikoyi, Lagos, Nigeria. The applicant should bring information regarding their full name, place and date of birth, nationality, passport number, date and place of issuance (for current passport or passport used during applicant's stay in Nigeria), exact periods of residence in Nigeria and addresses where applicant resided. https://travel.state.QOv/content/travel/en/us-visasA/isa-Reciprocitv-and-Civil-Documents-bv-

Thank you @Greenbaum but I can’t access the link you sent

Oh okay in your case, considering there are 3 cases being shipped you won't know which one is yours. This method is not something that the government provided to us applicant to track our cases so it's mostly play by ear. Odds are that yours is one of those three but to simplify your search you can copy any of those tracking numbers (JD0030####) and you should be able to just use the regular tracking number system instead of going through shipper's reference.

    Okay. Thank you

Oh okay. It shows on your timeline but not your profile.

and you won't know your tracking number until you locate your file via the Shipper's Reference. Once you see it, it will show "1 item" at the right side of the list and you can click + and expand it. It will give you the tracking for that particular package.

I still don’t understand. This is what I got

    Dear USCIS,

I, <PETITIONER NAME>, forgetfully omitted XXXXXXXXX in my i-129f petition for alien fiance and have sent this supplement to provide the missing information. The contents included in this supplement are:

    • Beneficiary's passport style photo (Do not forget to write her/his full name on the back of it lightly in pencil)
    • Letter of intent to marry (beneficiary)
    • Letter of intent to marry (petitioner)

I wish to please request that the documents included in this supplement be added to my i-129f petition for alien fiance.

    Information about my petition:

    Receipt number:

    Receipt notice date:

    Petitioner:

    Petitioner's date of birth:

    Beneficiary:

    Beneficiary's date of birth:

    Signed,

    <Signature and printed name>

    <Date>

Thank you so much. Getting on it now. Hope to get an RFE at most and not outright denial. Thank you once again

You can attempt to send in additional information but it's never certain it will actually end up making its way to your application. You can send your missing info in to the address which is located on the NOA1. I sent in a supplement and included a cover letter with it. It needs to include your receipt number, beneficiary name/DOB, petitioner name/dob, receipt date.

Is it possible to see a format of your cover letter? Right now I’m so confuse and scared

you forgot 2 KEY requirements. Did you not read the instructions?

If youre lucky, you will get an RFE. If you get someone like me (if i worked there) I would reject it and make you start all over. This isnt some unchecked box you forgot, its TWO mandatory requirements not sent.

    😥😥😥

    I know

I just don’t know how we made such a huge mistake

    And we only just discovered

When did you file the I-129f? It's possible it can be rejected because these are important pieces of the packet, but there's also the chance for RFE. I believe it's more likely to be rejected if you filed after the 11th of September.

It was received August 30th, we got NOA1 Sept 5th
