@Mamaroman It’s ready, go get it. I received the email twice, a day apart.

Or if you don’t live in Lagos, you could go a day or two prior your departure date, that’s if you’re using the Lagos airport. I think your passport can be with Dhl for about 30 days(not very sure) before it’s returned to the embassy

Visa status shows issued on ceac website and ustraveldocs website says passport is ready for pickup. Does this mean I can go get it or I have to wait for another notification?

The police report is issued from Lagos but you can apply for it from any state. Just go to your local police department and ask for it. There's info online about how to do it and what it should look like. 

 

It may be more expensive and it'll take longer because your info will need to be sent to Lagos. 

 

Mine took about two weeks to come. I've heard that it can be done the same day in Lagos.

 

Be sure to submit the fingerprints along with the certificate to NVC/embassy.

Can a person get police report from any state or it has to be in Lagos state, Nigeria?

Hello. Don’t know if this is the right place for my question but I need help. So for the police report does it have to be done in Lagos only or any state in Nigeria?

and you won't know your tracking number until you locate your file via the Shipper's Reference. Once you see it, it will show "1 item" at the right side of the list and you can click + and expand it. It will give you the tracking for that particular package.

Hello everyone. I’m confused. Got an  email yesterday from NVC saying National Visa Center sent your K1 visa petition to the U.S. Embassy/Consulate in Lagos, Nigeria but got nothing when I tried checking dhl with the above process. Don’t know what I’m doing wrong or what else to do. Help anyone???

You can send your missing info in to the address which is located on the NOA1. I sent in a supplement and included a cover letter with it. It needs to include your receipt number, beneficiary name/DOB, petitioner name/dob, receipt date.

Is it possible to see a format of your cover letter? Right now I’m so confuse and scared

If youre lucky, you will get an RFE. If you get someone like me (if i worked there) I would reject it and make you start all over. This isnt some unchecked box you forgot, its TWO mandatory requirements not sent.

It was received August 30th, we got NOA1 Sept 5th

We just discovered we didn’t submit my (beneficiary) passport picture and our letter of intent. Will the petition be rejected or we’ll get an RFE?
