  1. 1) the type form is a secure form, that’s why. DO NOT write NA. Leave fields blank if you do not need to fill out. With that said, the form is interactive, so if a field needs to be filled out, it will ‘open’. If you can’t type in it, there is a high probability you should not be filling out that field. I believe there are one-two exceptions to that, just read, re-read and proof that form before sending.

    2) as long as the year is close, it’s fine. Mostly they just want residence history of last 5 years.

    3) I would put your mailing address but explain the situation on the last page for additional information.

Use the tools here in VJ to answer "when I am going to get etc. etc." question and possibly find others like yourself. Near your picture, there is a link to your timeline. Select it and once you're on the next page near your picture you will see "follow similar timelines" and it will populate 12 other couples who are near your dates. Scroll down and you will see a "spreadsheet" style page showing all the variables for measurement for when others from your Embassy are getting the same notice of approval or action.  Try it. It really works!

And if you want to follow those from other countries that have similar timelines as yours there are several tools available to you. Go up to Immigration Timelines on the blue ribbon above and select it. Once you are on the next page looked to your left and you will see a box that states, "find similar timelines" and select it. A list will populate with those who are processing close to your timeline. When they start to change you will soon be behind them.

I followed those that were in my group to give me an idea where they were in processing so I could judge if I was ahead or behind.  It's pretty accurate, maybe within a day or so.

If you choose to follow those twelve members then you will get an email every time their status updates.

Thanks Greenbaum ! I have done that. I saw your posts on other topics and followed your instructions/advice. I appreciate your help!

  3. Hi everyone --

We mailed our i-129f on Friday, October 19th. It is due to arrive at the Texas lockbox today, Monday October 22nd.

We've decided today, that reading posts (anywhere else but here) about the K1 visa process from Egypt, is so nerve wracking and discouraging, that we should not do that anymore. Neither of us like things that are not for sure. It's so frustrating that because of the people out there commiting visa and marriage fraud, it harms the chances for those of us all that aren't trying to defraud anyone. We just want to be together. The waiting is tolerable... it is the uncertainty that eats us alive.  Are there any other October 2018 filers for their fiance's in Egypt? I need to commiserate... lol.

    Good luck everyone! :)
