Good luck everyone!
I had my appointment Nov. 13th and I had the fingerprint clearance (not the new privacy act one).  The documents woman was fine with that, and didn’t mention anything to me about having the other.
I can’t guarentee that I wasn’t just lucky on that, but they seemed pretty thorough otherwise!!

At Bathurst and St Clair in Toronto, so easy to do by public transit.
Cost was $350, plus $50 for courier.
Also, I only needed one passport photo, not five.

The way I did it was I printed off the checklist that the doc had on his website, took it to a doc at a walk-in clinic and asked them to do the titers.  I returned after the results were in (about a week) and got the booster I needed and the flu shot.  The doc completed and signed the form from the immigration doc’s website.  I took a copy of the titers and also the completed, signed form to the immigration doc.  The immigration doc I saw (in Toronto) had a specific form for the GP to complete, but I don’t know if all docs have these.
The form cost $25 to have completed, but the titers were covered under the provincial health care.

It’s blood work that shows what your immunities are - you can go to your GP or a walk-in clinic and ask them to do “titers” for the vaccinations that are required by the visa medical.  If the titer shows an immunity, no booster shot needed. 
Very helpful if you're like me and you don’t have an immunization record on file! 
 

I’m going to Dr. Lyndon Mascarenhas (visa doctor website) namely because of location.  I was able to get my appointment set up easily and they have been able to fit me in on Monday (so less than a week from when I contacted them).
 

Status update! CC date Aug 9 or 10, and I’ve just received confirmation of my interview date in MTL for Nov. 13!!  Yay!!

They had my date and time when I called NVC, but I’ve not received an email from them yet, so not the same... hopefully is just a small snag - good luck!

CC date August 9th - no appointment yet.  I called the visa centre phone line on Friday and they told me that they are still scheduling interviews for November in Montreal, so fingers crossed.
 
They schedule interviews until around the middle of the month, and then they receive an email notice saying all dates are done for the month.  In September, they finished scheduling the October interviews around Sept 19th.
