  1. You know... I appreciate your patience with her. I understand that you love her and didn't want to make a mistake and give up something you have worked so hard to obtain. I really do see your love for her when you write. I can understand the loss you must feel. It must be horrible for you to endure. I am sorrry that you have to love and let go.

It is not as easy as many of these people make it out to be and I commend you for doing it in a honest, respectible and in good taste. When I think of your actions... I think of my own patient husband... Who I want to kiss right nowfor being who he is.

It's not a cake walk... it's not so simple... it's a life choice... your time to make this decision is your own and I honor that. I commend how you have handled it and I think that for a man who loves a woman... in the end...she is the one that has lost. Your patience is something many women look for. Do not loose hope on everlasting love.

It is better to have loved and lost then not to have loved at all. Do what you must do to protect yourself and in the meantime...keep your dignity... it looks good on you!

  2. Hello Everyone!

Thanks for any help you can offer. My Loke and I have now been married for 4 years! It's hard to imagine the time went so fast. I remember the days of scouring this site for all the information I could find so I could be with him. I appreciate everything everyone on this forum has ever done for me!

We are talking about Naturalizing now and were wondering on how much it costs in fees. I was looking at the guides, but being away so long I am not sure how current they are to the new laws.

As always, any help is greatly appreciated so we can start budgeting for it.

  3. I am sorry this has happened to you. It's amazing to me how easily some people throw the word love around as if it has no meaning. Despite what everyone says here, you know if this marriage is going to work out for you in your heart and you also know if she has done this to you throughout your marriage and before that, her "love" was probably not on the same scale as your own. I am sorry for your misfortune and you should like a smart enough guy to get through it and protect yourself. My thoughts are with you.

  4. Hi Jamie,

I know how you feel as my husband is from Melbourne. Please don't pay any of those sites anything. The paperwork is not hard and you have a ton of people here that will support you step by step through the whole process. My husband just got his 10 year greencard yesterday and we did this all ourself with the help of these fine people here. if you look at the timelines of people and their signatures, you can get a good idea of how long this takes. Please remember that it does not go any faster if you hire a lawyer or any of those sites. It's the same process no matter what. That and we have heard some really bad horror stories of people who have hired lawyers that did their paperwork wrong. The person who is going to do the best job for your case is you...because it's personal...it hits home... it's your life. You can do this and we can help you! Most of the odd mumbo jumbo you are reading here is forms and paperwork that we all must file and before you know it, you will be a pro! Good luck in your journey and please keep asking questions!

  5. I got my approval letter. It says that the date of approval was 01/07/09. Not sure if this is the date you are using up there on that list or not.

Small observation, why is it that they use all this fancy paper for the Notice of Action and yet you finally get approval and it's on a plain white piece of paper without letterhead or anything? It's as if they are like "Well since you are not gooing to be giving us anymore money, we are not going to waste our pretty paper on you" hahahaha

  6. Thank you all for your support and all your help and understanding. I remember how much pain I had when I first came here to this forum and realized how hard it was going to be to get my husband here. I really appreciate all that you have all done for me. The advice, support and everything. I could not be here in this moment without all of you and I really can't thank you enough. You are all wonderful and I cannot wait until I see each and every one of you at the place where I am today. May all your journey's be short and successful *hugs*
