Good luck everyone. Let us know how it goes - although I sincerely believe things will turn out well for everyone.

Just a quick update:
I got the mail from USCIS that tell me and my wife to come to the interview for the 2nd time in 9 days. I assume that it will be a stoke interview where my wife and I will be separated. I'm completely upset and exhausted right now.
Don't be afraid. You know that you are a legitimate couple. Just align on the common questions before going there.
ALSO, remember that USCIS can not take away your Permanent Resident - only a Federal Judge can do that.

I had my I-751 biometrics done about 2 years ago, this week I just received an email from USCIS saying I won't need to get biometrics again for my N400, so yes, USCIS is reusing biometrics for some people. I can confirm this.
Did biometrics for I-751 in March 2019 - hoping we get the same notice.

Want to know as well.

Hi, How did you receive your approval notice ? By email or paper mail ?
Me? First I got an email as I had signed up for status alerts and then got paper mail about a week later, and then a green card in about 10 days from the email.

How does a binary outcome (of a coin toss) give you a date?

Feb 2019 ROC approved Nov 2020. Next step > file N400.

Did the status stay at “ interview was scheduled” the whole time before getting approved ? Or was it changed to “you attended at your interview” after your interview?
Said "interview was scheduled" for the whole time.

Haha I know right ? Who wouldn’t be panick.
I had my interview last week and I decided that I should relax now and wait for them since I can’t do anything. Hopefully it will get approved soon.
I read the actual law / USCIS manual - they gave to give you a decision within 90 days.
-
Lol yes I was the one panicking for no reason.

Our ROC has finally been approved. Filed Feb 2019 from NJ > VSC.
Moved to NC in Aug 2020, and had interview in Sept. Got approval/ card production notice yesterday. Will file N400 in the upcoming weeks.
Interview was straightforward as we a pretty vanilla case.
-
Interview was pretty nice. The interviewing officer said he would approve in 2 weeks. (But that was back in Sept).
Nope, did not get interview results form.
-
Had our I-751 / ROC interview back in September and have heard nothing until now. Our case was rock solid.
I reached out to our congressman and got this response from their staff and it is FREAKING me out. What does this mean?
This case has been returned to the reviewing officer for final adjudication. Your constituent TheKingmaker can expect a result within the next 2 weeks; a letter will be sent explaining the decision.
The words "reviewing officer" and "letter will be sent" are freaking me out. Someone please calm me.

Got the stamp. It looks so "unofficial".
I hope the DMV and employers are familiar with it here in NC.

I continued to check for the official appointment letter and even sitting in the parking lot of USCIS today it said no appointment was found. Hubby went in at 7:25 a.m. this morning and was out around 7:56. He said he passed through airport like security and showed the guard the confirmation e-mail and appointment letter. He said he then went to reception and they told him to sit and wait. After about 10 minutes (there were 2 people ahead of him) he was called up to a little window. He gave the worker his passport and it was stamped for 1 year. They kept his green card. The worker also wrote in his passport that the I-751 and N-400 are pending. When my husband asked about that, the worker said "don't worry about your cases, they're coming soon". Unfortunately, no further clarification was provided. Both cases should be at the field office, so fingers crossed will get an appointment notice before the end of the year.
Did they ask for any proof of emergency?

Following this thread.

We had our ROC Interview 4 weeks ago and nothing has happened and our extension letter has expired. A few questions regarding getting an appointment to get a stamp.
1.) Since our 18 month extension letter has expired, do we still need an emergency reason?
2.) What is the best number / time to call?
3.) Can the US Citizen make the phone call?
Any other tips?

What happened?

We held off on filing for N400 even though we could have done so back in Jan. Also, we moved from NJ to NC. It seems like it might have been the right decision because we have our ROC Interview next month (Feb 2019 filer).
I mean the interview could still get cancelled, who knows. But if it happens and we happen to get a GC, i think pushing off N400 and paying the higher fee ($500 or whatever) might be worth it.

It will be fast, make sure you got all evidences. It is pretty much rechecking so you don’t have to worry.
Yup...we have pretty solid financial evidence. 4 years of Married/Filing Jointly IRS Transcripts + almost 4 years of Savings + Checking Account statements. The only thing we don't have is a NC DL or ID - but will take plenty of other evidence to prove that we actually reside in NC.
