I have no knowledge of anyone previously petitioning and having issues with a second petition. Since you've already been approved you just have to wait for your visa to be delivered since you've already been approved you just have to wait for your visa to be delivered you can contact them and ask them if anything is going on but probably just get a generic answer

It's been 17 working days since they approved me on my interviewed or almost 30 days if we include weekends but the visa is not yet delivered. My case status was placed "Administrative Processing from Sept. 10 to Sept. 21" and my case last updated was "Sept. 24 to Application Received until today" I am not a 221g... I am just worried that my previous petition affects. Hotline of USEM in Manila can't answer me if it can affect. I am just hopeful coz I was approved. Please let me know if you know someone who has the same case. Thank you...

Valid for 1 year from date filed.

If u plan to file agai. this will need to be mentioned. Even if u didn't use k1.

Hi Bj & Christine. Thank you for the answer. i am from philippines. I honestly have an ongoing petition. I was asked from the pre screening to final interview if I had a previous petition and I answered truthfully YES, year 2015. They asked me the reason and I said, I suffered from verbal harassmanet and J decided to broke him up before I received the eligibility letter. I just leave the petition without doing anything. i got interviewed in Sept. 7, 2018 for my current petition and the consulate announced "okay your visa is approved, kindly wait 5-10 working days for the delivery of the passport along with the visa." they have my passport. i am just worried that the previous petition might delay my visa. Do you know someone who has a previous petition but got approved and got a visa on hand? I hope to hear from you. Thank you...

My fiancee already done booked a plane ticket as soon as he heard the news from me as I thought there will be no more troubles after the interview. It was just today that my status changed to AP... When are you gonna phone them again to know about your stat?

You can call them after 10 working days from the date if interview. Consulate tell that after interview.

I have the same case... I had my interview last Sept. 17, 2018... and at the end of my interview the consul told me "I am requesting your visa to be approved. As soon as I got home I called the phone number on the small pamphlet she gave me and told me to call those phone numbers and verify my mailing address and so i did... while i was on the phone with the customer rep. I asked if how can I track my status.  She then gave me this website https://ceac.state.gov and i checked on it today it say my status was "ADMINISTRATIVE PROCESSING" ... When I read about "Administrative Processing" this is what I found on this website: https://ph.usembassy.gov/visas/immigrant-visas/fiancee-visa/case-status/

Visa denial – If denied, you will be informed why you are ineligible to receive a visa. You will also be sent a notification by email.

Some visa applications require further administrative processing, which takes additional time after the visa applicant’s interview by a consular officer. Applicants are advised of this requirement when they apply. Most administrative processing is resolved within 60 days of the visa interview. When administrative processing is required, the timing will vary based on the individual circumstances of each case.  You can check the status of your visa application at ceac.state.gov.

Should it mean I am candidate for Visa Denial???

Administrative processing doesn't mean you're denied. According to my furthee research everybody go through to that. I was place AP for 10 working days.

  5. Hi guys, I am from Manila Philippines. I need some opinion. I had my interview last Sept 7,2018 Friday and after that the consulate told me that "Visa approved, wait your visa  and passport to be delivered " she kept my passport. From Sept. 10- 21 ny status was in Administrative Processing. I checked the following week today Monday Sept. 24,2018 and may case status as Sept. 24,2018 changed to Application received. I called their hotline today since it has been more than 10 days. They created am escalated report for my case. I am worried and wondering. Is there anyone who has the same this experience?

Relax. Ignore the sarcastic poster)) If you were approved at the embassy interview it is normal for the status to change on the website. It is part of the process. Allow 7-14 days for it finish completely)

Like Adil-Rafa said it is a big help if you update your timeline before you ask for help)

    Good Luck!

Okay, i will make a timeline... I was just scared disclosing information. Is it safe?

I think that's not a problem. You just need to wait for 5-10 days for the delivery of your passport and other documents. When you already have that on hand you can now schedule fpr CFO seminar and you fly any time

Hi shaneshane, thank you for the information..it is just making me crazy reading some worse cases here that it took them 6 mos. To get their passport / visa. Thank you again. Have a nice day.

My fiancee had interview on July 25th, the C.O didn't take any decision, we were administrative processing for a month now. This morning we got a call from the Embassy that they would like to interview us on thursday . We did set up the date. Has anyone been in the same situation or seen something similar before? What could happen?

Hi, did you get your visa yet? Did they keep your passport after the interview?

I'm in the same boat as you.

Our case has been sitting in "administrative processing" for over 4 weeks now and every time I call they just tell me there is no timeline.

Ours is merely a re-affirmation so our case number was assigned months ago. Long story short, ours had zero complications other than a mess up on USCIS's part that we ultimately ended up paying for.

I was also told by the NVC on every call I made that the CEAC status tracker has nothing to do with them....how messed up is that? What is the purpose of the CEAC tracker then if they don't utilize it? The whole process is dysfunctional and it only seems to be getting worse.

Hi, please let me join. What's the progress of your Administrative Processing? Did you get your visa? I have the same situation Administrative processing. They took my passport and yes l called to their support about this and I think they have no access but just an online CEAC that we are using to monitor.

If you'd bother to look through the forum you'd see that everyone goes through AP.

You'd also know that it can take undefined period of time. Sometimes its few days, sometimes few months.

This is so frustrating. There must be wrong in the process. They approved first before they review. They require medical and pay for the visa first before the interview $640 in total. This is like a scam. 😭

    no timeline

    what country?

helps to know the country here u r talking about

    Did they keep the passport?

    Required documents?

were these the ones you normally take to interview or were they asked for after interview?

    Hi adil

I am from philippines. They took my passport from the pre-screening until the final interview. After the consulate told me " okay your visa is now approved. Please wait 5-10 days for the delivery of your visa. There is a small paper in your left side, that is where you can call to track down your visa and pasaport delivery."

After that there is no other paper handed to me aside from that small piece of paper. Never asked any additional documents to be submitted.

I tried to call the support this morning but theu just said, the consulate is still reviewing your case. I was like if there is any qiestiom about my case or anything that bothers them and needs some clarification, i think the best way is to call me so I can help them.

I am so frustrated coz my fiancé's dad is in his terminal stage of his illness and o wany to meet him so soon and at least witness our wedding.

Is there anything that you know about AP and how i can pass this stage?

    Thank you.
