Did they say why it is cancelled?
They didn't say why--it was on a voicemail--but said to expect two letters: one with the cancelation and another with the rescheduled appointment date.

Wife was scheduled for 2/17 N-400 interview. Got a call yesterday that the appointment is going to be canceled and re-scheduled. Such a bummer to find out at the last minute. Anyone else have this happen?

okay great, I applied on late January but haven't heard anything.
Hopefully will come soon. We were around January 10. Good luck!

When is her interview date?
Interview is 2/17 after all. Not October. Glad it's sooner rather than later.

Whoa! My wife filed September 2018 and was approved the following October--13 months--at the Texas Service Center. Are Texan cases still being sent there? Have you filed for a case outside normal processing time? Good luck!

So it can be without notarising?
This make it all a lot easier. Thank you
Correct. You do not need to notarize anything or even use a professional translator. Not having to notarize translations was a shock to me after dealing with Russian bureaucracy for 6 years.
No matter who translates, I think it does matter that the translation come across well, so the reader doesn't have any questions about quality. So I'd definitely recommend making sure a native speaker proofreads it. If you have any other questions, feel free to PM me in English or Russian. Good luck!
-
I translated all documents for my wife's petitions: I-130, DS-260, I-751, and had no problem with anything. We used both Russian & US addresses, and it didn't have an impact on anything.
If you're not a native English speaker, I'd recommend either going with a professional or having a native English speaker proof. We used the following certifying text:
I, <translator full name>, certify that I am fluent (conversant) in the English and Russian languages, and that the attached document is an accurate translation of the document attached entitled “<document title>.”

Wife filed N-400 in January 2020 in Houston, and her estimated completion time then was Feb 2021. After pandemic, completion jumped to April, which was expected.
Today we get an online notice that her interview has been scheduled (Yay!), but completion time is now showing October 2021. 😳
Anyone else have a big jump like that?
My only guess at this point is that they were previously showing the minimum case processing time (14.5 mos) and are now showing maximum time (20 mos). Will update when we get the appointment date by mail.
-
So. We just got my wife's permanent green card in the mail, and the "resident since" date is incorrect - one day sooner than actual. Anyone have any idea how big of a problem this is?

15 hours ago, paddyfavour said:Congratulations to your wife. Was her case ever transferred to another USIS offer and when did y’all file?
For those asking our timeline was:
September 5-7, 2018 - Application sent to & received at California Service Center
September-October 2018 - check deposited in Chicago, case transferred to Texas
November 2018 - Received I-757
June 5, 2019 - Fingerprinting at local center, Houston, TX
October 22, 2019 - card in production
Thank you for the congrats! We're thrilled.
Our end goal is citizenship, but we haven't applied since we're on a long trip outside the US. Will apply in December when we get back.

Same story to tell as @NYBEtt. Wife got stamp today. Our timeline was quick and as follows:
- 7/7 - We realize expired green card is missing after a trip to California (extension letter is safe at home). Oh no! Turning the apartment over and calls to about 15 different places we were during the trip over the next couple days. No luck.
- 7/8 - Phone call to USCIS. About 25-minute wait time calling at 8:05am ET on Monday. We explained the situation and asked for an ADIT stamp. They said they will call back within 48-72 hours to schedule appointment.
- 7/10 - Phone call from USCIS to schedule an appointment. Appointment scheduled for local field office for 7/19. Told to print out appointment letter and bring passport, extension letter, and I-751 reference number.
- 7/19 - Arrive 30 minutes early for appointment at Houston field office. Waited about 5 minutes before being called. Helped by an extremely nice gentleman. Asked for printout of appointment, passport, and something with wife's A number on it. (We provided the extension letter.) Had stamp in 3 minutes. Stamp has date of issue, expiry date, A number, I-751 reference number, and a notation of her being a CR-1. He very helpfully explained that this was 100% equivalent to a green card and can be used for entry to US, proof of status, and proof of employment eligibility. We were out almost 20 minutes before our scheduled appointment time. Free of charge. Super easy!

I would recommend going to an Infopass appointment at your local USCIS office with a copy of your application folder and the NOA, and getting a stamp on her passport (I551 temp stamp) just in case.
Thanks for the advice. Called this morning, and we should get a callback to make an appointment by mid-week. Fingers crossed that they don't make us pay the I-90 fee in order to get a stamp. Looking more and more likely that the card is lost to the wind.
Edit: Congrats on your permanent card being in production!

New status; "New card is being produced" on July 5th.
Hoping to get the 10yr GC in next couple/few weeks. (When the window to apply for N400 opens up)
My timeline was;
08/15/18: application sent
09/25/18: case received, fingerprint fee accepted
06/13/19: fingerprint review complete
06/14/19: fingerprint review complete (dunno why twice)
07/05/19: new card is being produced
Good luck to everyone!

What service center were you? Anxious SRC (Texas) filer first week of September, and wife may have lost green card when we're supposed to leave on a long overseas trip next month. Eep!

September 2018 filer here with an SRC receipt number. We had to go in for biometrics last week.

Got a note yesterday from USCIS that we will need to go in for biometrics. Appointment is on 6/5. Our case is at Texas.
-
I'm also SRC/Texas with no updates. Looks like some SRC August filers are starting to receive their notices.
-
NOA came yesterday. SRC receipt. Will be moving myself over to Texas.

Anyone with WAC receipt number got their noa????
Haven't heard of anyone yet. Saw in the August forums that someone's congressperson confirmed CSC shipped their NOA on 10/23. May be a few days behind VSC, but sounds like even those are coming. We shall see.

csc is handling your case?
No idea yet who's handling it. Didn't file a G-1145, and haven't called USCIS to get a case number or anything like that, since we don't need it.
We sent our I-751 originally to CSC because on the date we filed, that was where Texas residents were supposed to file. From there it got transferred to the Chicago lockbox (that is where the check was deposited), and now our I-751 is somewhere... out there...

Based on the August forums, it looks like August filers haven't been receiving their NOAs, and I'm somewhat skeptical that they'll all magically arrive by Monday.
My I-751 arrived at CSC on 9/8 in the evening, so seems like it's anyone's guess when I'll actually get my wife's NOA...

We got a letter a week later that the interview was scheduled for 3/16.
