Just called NVC, got our case number
NOA2: 08/14/2018
NVC # 08/28/2018
the woman on the phone wasn’t very pleasant but at least I got my #
she said the petitioner name didn’t match what she has on file. I said how can that be, it’s correct on the NOA2? The have my middle name as my first name, and my first name as my last name. Asked her if it would affect the visa at embassy, she said no. But I can correct it by sending a copy of my passport using an NVC inquiry on their website.
Congrats! Which of the two numbers did you call?

I'm not sure if somebody will have the answer but: I was filling in the DS-160 form and they asked me for a passport photo.
Will it be a problem if it is a different passport photo than the one I have sent with the I-129F or the one I will bring to the medical exam?

Thank you so much!! This is information is helping me a lot!!!
Do you think I can already Fill in the DS-160 without having a casenumber?

That is so nice! I emailed them yesterdat through the same website link but no respons yet. Maybe because they just haven't received my case yet..

I made an account on ustraveldocs.com. Out of curiosity I tried to go as far as possible in the steps of scheduling my interview. Got the question if I had received P3, clicked "No" and was told I couldn't proceed.
Thanks for the respons! I just checked the website you were talking about but unfortunately there is no option for The Netherlands to click on

It depends on your embassy. Some allow it, some don't. Mine (Stockholm) does NOT allow that before you've received P3 with instructions.
Where did you find that out about your embassy?

This might be a dumb question, but I'm going to ask anyways: I emailed NVC yesterday (August 8 NOA2) and they replied saying they recently received our case, but the case number isn't available yet. I'm assuming it takes a few days to input our info before creating a case number? Correct me if I'm wrong! The reply seemed generic... It said "We will send NVC processing instructions within 8 weeks"
May I ask which email from the NVC you've used?:)

Yeah, we are done with everything. I'm waiting for the affidavit and a new letter of intent to get here in the mail and he will email any documents for it this weekend.
I filled out the DS-160 and just need to upload the digital picture. Medical is scheduled for Sept 06, the envelope with all the documents for the consulate is laying here, so basically I am only waiting for his originals and the NVC case number and then I'm hitting the SEND button everywhere. 😂
How about you? Can you get everything done with him being away? I'm sure you've already prepared everything, right? :-)
That is awesome that you were able to schedule your medical without having your casenumber! I called to the doctor today and they can not schedule my medical without having a case number!

Hello everybody!
I have a question about calling to the NVC to get your casenumber. My fiancee (petitioner) an I are currently living in The Netherlands so I was wondering if his parents can call to the NVC to get our casenumber? Calling to The States from NL is really pricey and especially if they will put you on hold for a little bit.

Hi Guys!
So who will receive the email about the 'action on the case'? Will that be the Petitioner or the Beneficiary?

Thank you all for responding to my questions.
So if I make sure I understood the answers right:
- I need to find out if the U.S. Embassy in Amsterdam allows a co sponser?
- Also I need to let one of my Fiancee's parents fill in the I-132 instead of the I-864 right?
As an answer to the getting married in NL and apply for the CR-1:
My Fiancee finished his master's program last week which means he has to leave the country. Also he doesn't want to stay in the Netherlands any longer so he can maybe find a job meanwhile I am doing all the visa work. So he will be leaving the Netherlands in September. My application was received on Februari 12th so I did not even got my NAO yet. Also I believe we have a strong case: we have been engaged for 9 months and we have a lot of evidence showing that we have been in a relationship for 3 years now. The only thing that can get us denied is the financial part which we thought we found a solution for..

Hello Everyone,
I have a question about having a joint sponsorship for my K1-visa. Currently my fiancee, California resident, is living with me in The Netherlands. He just finished a 18 month master program and will be moving back to California in September. Because he lived with me in the Netherlands and will not have a job when he moves back, we asked his parents to be the joint sponsors. Lukily they wanted to help us and agreed to become the joint sponsors for my K1 visa. His dad is retired and has a gross income of 100.000$ a year + other assets he owns, his mom is also retired and has a gross income of 40.000$ a year. There are no other people in this household that depend on their incomes.
So I have 3 questions about the joint sponsorship:
1. Will their incomes be enough to let my K1 visa be approved? Also since my fiancee will be unemployed because of him living abroad and moving back.
2. Which form do his parents need to fill in? The I-134 or the I-864?
3. Which other documents (besides Tax return) do his parents need to add to my case in order to support their incomes?
I really hope somebody can help me finding the answers to my questions because I am stressed out about it!
Thanks for the help!

Hi everyone!
I am also a Feb filer and I hope our approvals will come soon! I have sent my application on January 26th from the Netherlands. We got our NOA1 on 7th of Februari but the new website says 12th of Februari.
I was wondering if anyone knows if you can do your medical examination already before you've got your NOA2? I just want to have all the paperwork ready for when I get my NOA2:)
August 2018 NOA2 -----> NVC
in K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports

Yay! I got my casenumber today through email (asknvc@state.gov)
NOA2 August 13th
NVC# August 28th
When I checked on my case status it is still at the NVC (of course) but when I clicked on a hyperlink it takes me to a website where I need to follow 6 steps.. Like paying visa fees, filling in the DS-260? and some other stuff..
I am not sure if I need to follow these steps since I need to fill in the DS-160.. @Greenbaum do you have information about this?
