My visa has been issued and my passport is ready to be collected..on the same day!!!! Thank you so much to everyone here for their support. And i wish everyone a very speedy process whether you're waiting for CC, interview date or to get issued. It has been 1 year and 25 days since we petitioned for CR-1 visa. All thanks to GOD for finally putting this long stressful yet anticipating exciting journey to an end.
Congratulationsssss Ayah!
You finally made it. I wish you a safe trip to USA.

For K1 visa as far as some recent approvals, COGC are handed to the collecting officer during the interview. So I’m wondering if that’s a new policy requirement now uploading COGC in ceac.😕😕😕
I'm CR1 visa and hence all documents must be submitted in CEAC before assigning interview date. Not sure about K-1 visa

I did lol..they didn't reply. Thank you and just get the original one and be on the safe side. You can write a letter and ask someone you know in Malaysia to get it for you. How many police reports do you have btw? Just Sudan and Malaysia?
Two. For Sudan and Malaysia.
That's strange. I sent several emails and usually they do reply within two days. I asked them about the police certificate but they told me to contact NVC since my case still not at their possession.

I haven't had my interview yet. However, NVC accepted it and it went through CEAC they didn't tell me it was wrong...but i am worried they might ask. But it is strange because this is considered a certified true copy. I want to try get the original
Try to send an email to US embassy in Khartoum if they require the original one. And good luck in your upcoming Interview. 😀

It says the name of the document is : Certificate of good conduct. Not police certificate. Maybe you should call them. I asked the embassy and they said this is the only document they issue and all countries and embassy recognize it. They don't there is nothing specific they give to the American embassy. Also go back to the CGC application and see what you wrote got purpose of application and also which country is requesting it.
I'm CR1. I studied in Malaysia for 5 years and now residing in Sudan.
You are right the PC name is Certificate of good conduct (CGC). But i think they rejected mine because it's issued from the Malaysian embassy not Ministry of foreign affairs as stated in their website. Did they accept your CGC from the embassy?

Hey everyone I'm applying for CR1 visa. I lived in Malaysia for 6 years as a student. I am a sudanese citizen. I applied for the malaysian cerificate of good conduct online and got it from the Malaysian embassy in Khartoum,Sudan. My certificate says "based on the statutory declaration dates .. and submitted to the Ministry of foreign affairs Malaysia by Mrs.........passport number.... , the government of Malaysia finds her to be a person of good conduct".
Is this the correct one? Because i read they have to state there is no police record.
Hi Ayah. I also got the Malaysian CGC online and received the certificate from Malaysian embassy in Khartoum. However, when i uploaded in CEAC they rejected it. I got this message " This document is from an incorrect issuing authority. Please replace this with an acceptable police certificate. For information regarding an acceptable police certificate, please use our Document Finder at https://nvc.state.gov/find."
Now i just replaced it with a statement that i can't get the PC nad waiting for NVC to review my case again.

Confirm if the PC you were issued from Malaysia was the right one.
Hi Abies,
In travel.stat website they said that Malaysia PC should be obtained from Consular Division - Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
But since my PC was issued outside Malaysia it has the embassy Consular stamp instead.
I already contacted the embassy but didn't get any useful feedback.
Any suggestions?

Hi everyone,
All my documents were accepted expect for my police certificate from Malaysia ( i stayed there about 5 yrs) so i applied for Malaysian police certificate online and received it from their embassy in Sudan (my home country). However, they rejected it saying that the certificate is from an incorrect issuing authority. And should be replaced with an acceptable police certificate.
What should I do?

Got the same situation but at the start so not after documents submission. They spell my wife surname wrong so we call NVC and they ask us to go at https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/visa-information-resources/ask-nvc.html and forward the complain and upload her Passport Bio page to correct her name. So after I think 7 days or more the name changed with correct spell.
Ok I'll send them a note in the link.
Thanks
