No worries/no pressure.
There are ways to get to Russia: that said, if you can wait a bit, more venues will open up.

One more: https://www.flightradar24.com/airport/svo/arrivals - substitute Sheremet'evo with your airport - you can see who's actively landing from overseas.
Do realize this: Russian airlines do not post tickets more than a couple months out ---> it looks like there's no competition ---> foreign airlines jack up prices.
If you could share the exact itinerary, I can help more.
Thanks! Unfortunately no route and dates in mind. I didn’t even sign up for my vacation at work because I have no idea how to get to RU yet.

My wife went in early September and flew Detroit to Miami to Dubai to Novosibirsk. It was more expensive than usual, but not too bad. The Dubai to Novosibirsk route was actually the most expensive and I think that flight was seasonal. Might be cheaper Dubai to Moscow.
Thanks! I have to go to Omsk ( close to Novosibirsk). I will check it out

There are flights less than $1000 in February from Toronto to Moscow round trip, if you can find a cheap way to get to Toronto (I’m sure there’s a bus).
Never thought about Canada! Thanks for the tip!

What state are you flying out of? I did a cursory search and I’m not seeing anything too crazy.
Chicago is the closest airport for me to fly out. The only way for me is to go to Helsinki and then to take train or bus to St Petersburg and then fly to my city.

Trying to figure out how to visit my mom in Russia and pretty shocked by ticket prices. Anyone went recently to Russia successfully ( I am US citizen) ? What countries has open air to get to Russia! Thank you! Sorry if this topic been already posted. Have to write from different account because I forgot my password etc

Hi, you will have no problem to do AOS without leaving the country.
But of course you can choose to do K1 or CR1. Its 100% up to you:)

I am pretty sure you DO NOT need joint sponsor. Your previous income and current income meets requirements.

Here’s an update!
I just got a notification (about 30 hours after the interview) that “New Card Is Being Produced”. Does it mean we are approved?
Yes, You are Approved:) congrats!

Nope, you need to wait till you get a paper copy in the mail. Probably missing something. Dont worry to much about it.

Nevermind, problem solved.

Hi everyone! My friend and me debating some questions as she applying for AOS (marriage based with USC).
She is B2 overstay for more than 5 years now. She never worked in US ilegally, etc. Her immigration attorney said she can do everything, all the paperwork by yourself. Anyway, here is the question about her previous address outside US on form I-130A. She doesnt remember the exact address outside US because she was working in different ( than her hometown) city for the past 3 years ( before she came to US). She was just renting places. She doesnt have any documentation about it. She was not registered there. She only have registration in her hometown.
Does she really need to provide that address even she was living in US for the past 5 + years. We just dont know what to put in there as i dont have that experience. Thanks so much!!

What second interview and where did you read it? If you failed AOS interview for some reason then yes, they can schedule you a second ( not in all cases). I know one person who was scheduled second one. It was 3 years ago tho. But she failed K-1 interview before also...

“..by requiring that the immigrant (not just the sponsor) earn at least 125 percent of the Federal Poverty Level - and by weighing as “heavily positive” a household income of 250 percent of the Federal Poverty Level. This means, to avoid scrutiny under the public charge test, a family of 4 would need to earn nearly $63,000 annually.”
soo, if you coming here on K-1 you need to proof you will earn at least 125% of poverty level. Ij some countries is a huge amount of money. So basically you wont get approved.
Or i dont understand.

If i would be you and my parents would be at their 80s, i would just forget about citizenship test. Was it too important to get a naturalization? Not my business, but really.. Why is it so necessary? If i ever will bring my parents here it will be only when i know, i will 100% ready to fully support them. Financially.

Exactly!!
@AnnJacks what financial documents do we need if a person is self - employed?
Depends what self employed do:) Cant answer on your question. They will look at your previous tax return to determinate if you make enough. Its better when 3 years of tax return are above poverty level.

Hi, well they asked for regular form I-864, not a shorter version EZ. So just file what they asked for and send it back again with all the supporting docs.
I never heard from anyone that you can use shorter version of I-864. Can not help with that...
