You can do it, but IMO its asking for trouble if the consulate finds out. If the consulate knows you had a religous ceremony, then you have to convince them you're not legally married. It can cause a big headache. Alot of it depends on how picky your consulate is and if it's a high-fraud one. Just my $.02
I agree with yassmine. To be safe, you can have the religious ceremony when you visit her home country again after you have both settled it here properly.

you don't have to include your co-sponsor. only 4 of u in a household.

in my home country, vaccines we're given to the applicants but TD shot should be taken here. There's no exception wether you are a non-immigrant or immigrant applicant.

congrats! hope I'd get mine soon.

after getting married.
a copy of your marriage certificate is one of the requirements.

So I guess to revise... we have the following:
- Copy of Joint tax return for 2007
- PG&E utility bill in joint names
- Joint credit card from the UK with the statement coming here
- She is listed as "pay on death beneficiary" on my bank account
- Plenty of letters/statements that we have in our sepereate names (at&t in my wife's name, adoption paperwork in mine) that have come to the same address
- Plenty of photos of us kissing/hugging/together with our dog&cat
Starting to look better...
utility bills is important also as per experience. it really proves that u are both living in the same house.

in our consulate, applicants can request for a translator. try to know in your consulate if they have it.

as far as I know, immigrant visa summary is not for K-1 visa holders. only the brown envelope and passport is sent/given to the approved applicants.
Also with the passport there was a flyer for the SMEF-COW and thats the Commission on Filipinos Overseas, a warning that says do not open the packet but the packet is open at the side, do you think that will cause problems?no, it won't. The embassy did it for their own purposes. Just try not to open it. Mine, Delbros made a small cut enough for my passport to be taken out and I didn't tear the bag to be safe.

You don't have to open the brown envelope. Just take out your passport. K-1 visa holder is not required for the Immigrant visa summary on the seminar. Just attend the seminar and you'll learn what to do in the CFO.
YOu can also attend the seminar ahead of time (without the visa). Just bring your NBI clearance, BC, CENOMAR, valid ID's, photo of you and your fiance and 250pesos for the seminar fee.
here's what you need for the CFO registration after the seminar and when you have your VISA and the brown envelope :
Original Passport; Original and photocopy of visa; Original and photocopy of Immigrant Data Summary for US bound/Confirmation of Permanent Residence for Canada bound/ Embassy Certification of Eligibility (for Spain bound C visa holders); (NO NEED FOR K-1 VISA HOLDER) Original CFO guidance and counseling certificate; Duly completed emigrant registration form; and Payment of the authorized registration fee.
