when printing the DS156 form, since there should be 2 copies of DS 156 that will be submitted, does it have to be the same barcode or do you have to just print 2 copies of the same barcode? or does it have to be two different barcodes for each?

the barcode contains info you entered on the form. it helps speed up processing when you go for your interview.

My husband booked me in Bayview Park hotel for two nights and didn't encounter any.

u can buy any folder or envelope you want coz it won't be asked from you. You will just put/file your papers for easy access when the pre-screener asks any of it.

E.g. the pre-screener asks for the ITR, you don't need to give the folder, just get it(ITR) from your file and that's it. Same thing with the other proofs.

I showed 10 photos and the interviewer just selected 5 from it. I didn't paste it on the paper and didn't bring an album.

i printed screenshot of us talking thru msn messenger that indicated the time, date and of course with our faces on it. I attached to it the printed conversation but not all (5 pages the most). I just had the first and the latest chats...e.g july2005, feb, mar, april and may 2006 (just one per month).

I prepared a lot but this proof wasn't asked from me, only the pictures(1st meeting) and then emails.

Ongoing relationship evidence is not a requirement for the initial petition but will be at the consulate interview... If you are only petitioning concentrate on the type oof evidence that will get you approval.... IM's will not....

SO if I use MSN Messenger chats and PRINTSCREEN of us via web cam, it won't be valid or enough ongoing relationship evidence????

I did this thing..printscreen of us talking online just to proove the dates and us talking and then a few of our conversation of that certain day but i didnt print everything(conversation). Wasn't asked from me though.

Hello my fellow Vj'ers..

I'm here again asking for help but this time i am doing this for a friend of mine who has a K1 application and K2 for her son.She's an unwed mom so she was confused what she's going to put under her son's ds 157 regarding the father's name.Does she has to put the name of the father even if they are not married or she will just put it N/A or None?

Please, any advice and response to this will be highly appreciated..

write down whatever is reflected on the child's birth certificate as they would always cross reference the ds157 with the BC--the information should always be consistent.

i wasn't asked for my x-ray film but I hand carried it just in case.

I guess it depends on the immigration officer coz a Filipino who had the same flight as mine was asked for the said x-ray on the next counter.

yes u can get married prior to applying SSN but secure first your marriage license as sometimes it takes a week to get it.

mine was transferred to MI national service center while others in Cali service center.
