    I think the ombudsman no longer accepting an outside processing cases. Here what I see on the website;

However, at this time, we regret that we are unable to immediately assist with individual cases outside processing times if that is the only issue you are encountering. We will continue to work with USCIS’ leadership to address its lengthy delays across various USCIS forms as a systemic issue. We will notify the public when we are able to assist with these types of cases again. "

This may be on their website but the ombudsman emailed me saying they are prioritizing my case due to USCIS's delay and my case is outside processing time. My 751 case was approved 2 days after I received this from the ombudsman. They do help if it has been unusually long regardless of what is on their website.

  2. sharing an update - after waiting months after my combo interview, I contacted my representative, no response and then submitted FOIA and contacted the ombudsman - the ombudsman emailed me a few times, moved my case to priority and both my N-400 and I-751 applications were approved really quickly after contacting the ombudsman. Great experience - now waiting for oath letter but some progress after months of waiting.

We just had the same experience with a N400 interview with a pending i751 at the NBC. We only got notice of the n400 appointment and nothing about the i751 interview, no notice or invitation.

I would expect a combo interview.

As it happened we made an inquiry about our i751 being out of processing time in Oct 2021, 7 months later the local field office responded indicating they would handle the i751 case at the n400 interview. We got the reply for the inquiry around the same time we got notice of the n400 interview.

Take note it took USCIS 3 weeks to approve both the n400 and the i751. The oath ceremony is scheduled for June 29th.

Our combo interview was on June 16th in Sacramento.

My interview was in APRIL 2022 - NOTHING since the combo interview, we're not at 3 months after interview and no updates. This is ridiculous, USCIS is the worst.

I understand your frustration. I did my N400 interview Valentine’s Day (February 14, 2022) and was approved. I still haven’t had my oath ceremony and I’m not sure if it’s because I had changed the spelling of my first name why it’s taking so long to schedule my oath ceremony. It still says that I’m in line waiting for oath ceremony since February 15th. Tried getting in contact with someone but that goes in vain

Good to hear, let me know if you have any updates, I hope you hear something soon. You should be near the 120-day deadline right?

I am ready to write the writ of mandamus and take USCIS to court as soon as I hit the 120 day mark (hopefully it doesn't come to that).

What does your N400 situation have to do with it?

Well, without an approved N400, I don't have a US passport. I need a visa to travel anywhere outside the US currently which is expensive, bureaucratic and time consuming process and I should not go through this as I have the right and privilege to a US passport which is delayed due to USCIS's incompetence. Also, I cannot travel internationally for my job because I need a visa to travel ANYWHERE outside the US.

  6. Posting again for any advise please, we had the combo interview over a month back and NO updates.

USCIS over the phone has been extremely unhelpful, refused to expedite the review and keep saying a decision for N400 cannot be made until 751 is approved but the IO said at interview that he's approving both 751 and 400 and I should hear back in 30 days (its well over 30-days now).

I'm stuck in a limbo with NO updates after the combo interview. I contacted the Congressman and haven't heard anything yet either, does anyone have any advise? I am traveling a ton over the summer and reallyyy don't want to apply for a visa for every country.

  7. Hello! Is anyone in the same boat as me? I had a combo interview in the fairfax office back in April and no updates since. Ive submitted a congressional inquiry but the IO told me that I'd get a oath letter within 30-days but its well over 30-days at this point.

Anyone had this experience? Any ideas on what to do to speed this up? I have lots of upcoming travel and want to finish this process before that.

  8. anybody have a combo interview at DC? We had ours a couple weeks back and the officer said he's approving both applications but the system is slow so it may take 30-days to get the oath letter.

Does anyone have similar experiences? I have international travel coming up and unclear if I should apply for a visa or not while we wait for an oath ceremony. How long did your oaths take to get scheduled?

YSC here. I got a biometrics waiver letter (on 03/12/2021) after getting my 18 -months extension. But after that, nothing since.... You can always use google sheet to track how things are moving. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1b8qNTxz14bzeqOY0Pzk-F0NAWwB42Mr9ypfpwwgm1VU/edit#gid=0

Yep, I got my 18-month extension in December and nothing since. people who filed after me have gotten their biometrics waiver and its been 6 months since I applied without a biometrics. Seems YSC is just slow..

Do you want to really know how mismanaged USCIS is.????....  My husband received his extension letter on Monday YAY. then on Wednesday there was a packet from USCIS addressed to him to our home. Inside was ANOTHER COUPLES PHOTO ALBUM. #######!!! Right away he started contacting USCIS as it was his day off. He could not get a person on the line. I posted this in a FB group and the moderator actually found one of the petitioners as she had a picture of her drivers license in the album. I tracked her down and we exchanged phone numbers. She wants me to mail her photos to her, but I won't until USCIS clarifies what the hell went wrong, and if someone else received an error of ours. I called them this morning, but they refused to talk to me as supposedly only the immigrant petitioner can OR they give verbal authority when you (USC) are on the line as well. He doesn't have another day off until Monday. What an absolute show.

WOW! Thats terrible, as if the immigration process isn't stressful enough their mismanagement makes this so so much worse. I hope everything gets resolved, maybe an infopass appointment may help?

The person that created spreadsheet made it easier to follow (thank goodness!)

I.e. sorted by date filed and for those with NOA, by service center

The s/s can't really be much help if everything is all over the place. This way, everyone can see if their date has been touched/if there's movement with their service centers.

Nothing has been deleted. It's there- see row 99 for yourself :D

Actually, I added it again on the 11th, someone did delete.

  12. I received my NOA today but it came from Potomac center. Anyone know why?

I thought they’d send the NOAs out from Phoenix. Funny story, NOA came in 3 days after check was cashed, so quick (the Potomac service center is very close to us geographically, I couldve just dropped the application off there instead of sending it all the way to Phoenix!)

    Application recieved:11/12/2020

    check cashed: 12/16/20

    NOA received in mail: 12/19/20
