probably stupid question, and i know that with a little digging i could find it myself, but not feeling up to it due to having the flu all week- where can i find out my case status online? for some reason i find USCIS's website very hard to navigate...

They keep one copy the first time you use AP.....then you can use the other copy as many times as you need.....they wont take that one.

Nope....didn't have any problems at all. I was advised to take my marriage cert and AOS NOA1 just in case...but I didn't need them. You should take yours just in case though. I was taken to "soft" by an IO for AP processing which only took 10 minutes. They stamped my passport and gave me one of my AP papers back then sent me on my way.

You shouldn't have any problems.

There are 2 copies....make sure you take both with you. Immigration will keep one copy on her return to the US.

Lansbury is right.....always tell the truth to immigration. Not doing so could cause you big problems with immigration in the future.

Nope, no job here yet. I haven't tried much either though as haven't got my driving license yet. Driving is def an essential around here! Am currently going to driving school....so not long now.....3 weeks ish.

Whaaaaaaaaa! I had touches on the same days as you guys with the approvals....but I haven't got approved yet!

We have been talking about moving back to England. We want to have children in the next few years and we will struggle money wise here in the US. Plus, I would get a lot more support from my family in England and we already have a place to live there. However, I don't want to move until I have my citizenship! So, we are going to wait until the end of the year to see how we feel and how the bank balance looks before we make any serious decisions on the matter.

I suffered from depression when I was a teen and self harmed. Luckly, I read on VJ about needing a letter from your doctor detailing it, before I went to my medical. So I went armed with medical notes and letters from both my doctor and the councilor I saw. The doctor at the medical went over it all with me and I managed get away without having to be reviewed by a shrink.

I wouldn't worry too much about this affecting your chance of getting approved.....as long as you are not a danger to yourself now and the shrink docutments this....then you will be fine.

Yup...I got my AP on monday....about $500 poorer but glad it all worked out. I fly to England tomorrow. Thank you very much for your support....its appreciated.

Just letting ya know that I finally received my AP yesterday. DHL don't know their #### from their elbow because they told me that it needed my signature (and I called and talk to 2 different people who told me this)....but it was just left on my door step. So I could have gone to England on Sunday and have gotten a neighbour to send it to me.

Oh well....at least I have it now!!!

What total sheit! Do you happen to have the names of the two people who told you that a signature was needed before you could take posessio of this package? If so, I would be calling DHL to officially lodge a complaint. It was because your uncertainty caused in part by their misinformation that you changed your travel plans.....and then they just drop the package on your doorstep?

Sadly I didn't catch the names of the DHL people....I was far too stressed to care about that at the time LOL Though now I wish I had noted them. Oh well....its not like they would give me the money I spent to change my flights anyway. I'm just glad its all sorted now and I can fly to England and finally grieve.
