  1. Interview was yesterday! VISA APPROVED!!

The Security officers & CO's were so nice and welcoming. I was asked a total of four questions

    1. When my husband and I met

    2. When we made it official

    3. when we got married

    4. what were his intentions on arriving in US (she thought he was still on visitors visa in Canada)

My first part of the interview was giving documents in the first booth, and doing bio-metrics was told to sit down and waited for my number to be called. Once I was called to the second booth my interview was about 5-10 minutes.

You guys and gals make sure you have all the documents you need and everything will be smooth sailing. It's not as scary as it's made out to be.

Good luck on those still waiting & thank you to everyone who has offered support, their help & kind words.

Approved! Had my interview today in Montreal. No surprises really if you read the reviews of that Consulate. Only thing different was that they brought u inside according to interview time and not place in line outside. Also my paper was white and not pink like others. All in all pretty nerve racking wait but everyone was friendly. Interview questions were more of a confirmation of information they had. Definitely not an interrogation.

    Congratulations

Its actually for my 13 year old daughter  She is an IR2.  Her siblings and I qualified the week before her and already flew across Canada for our appointment on Sept 18 and were approved.  She CC'd at NVC about 3 days after us but we still have heard nothing!!

Oh wow! I didn't know they split family appointments like that. I hope she gets something soon.

Got the same thing in the mail today, seems like what they want!? Name, DOB, no criminal record found, specified privacy act...if this isn’t it then I have no idea what they want. I’ll post a name redacted portion of mine just for interest sake.  I wouldnt be worried, it says this is exactly what they are looking for according to everything I’ve been told. Of course all my personal information was at the top but this was the just of it

Yes this is what i got too!

I called the lady that done my fingerprints and she said this is what they're wanting. under the privacy act it shows if you've had any pardons.

  6. Can someone please tell me what to do, I went and had my fingerprints taken 09-12-2018 and went under the privacy act, however when i received my mail from them (today) its just a piece of paper saying

"your application for personal information held in the databank ******** has been processed. No personal information about you was found in the datebank"

also states that my fingerprints used have been destroyed. I'm almost positive this isn't the correct document.

It includes my name, DOB, the date I had my fingerprints taken.

The day I had them done I had my photo taken as well.

At the top of page 12 on this thread there is an individual hobos going to their Montreal interview on October 29th, so that actually looks accurate. Probably safe to assume that October is pretty much filled up for Montreal appointments...unless they don’t use a chronological order to book them!?

My husband called last night and the rep said there's a small chance for a few more montreal appointments. So yes I think they do go in chronological order to book.

Two of the things that I was told by the NVC , which is proving to be untrue is that appointments are given out “ in the last few days of each month”, and “ once the email is sent to the beneficiary the appointment happens within a month”.  I’m going to add this miss information to the numerous other things I’ve been told along the way… How frustrating this!?!?!?!

Does everyone at at least know, and have, Fingerprints done through the privacy act?

I went and don't my fingerprints through privacy act yesterday
