Good to know....We are in line waiting for our file to be sent from NVC to Nairobi.

The interviewers at the US embassy in Nairobi are separated depending on the type of visa. Mine was an immigrant visa. The other ones were non-immigrant visa, refugee visa, and I believe the other categories. You might end up with a different interviewer than the one I got but I believe they will still be just as amazing. Best of luck going through this process. Keep us updated on how it all goes. 🤞

Thanks for all the advice folks. I wish I got this before I did the stupid thing. Will get an attorney and leave the rest to God. I just got married too and it is stressful. Well I take it as a punishment. Screwed my own life:-(

Everyone makes mistake. Some much more costly than others. Just do what you can to better the situation and learn from this experience. Best of luck and hope everything works out for the better for you and your family. 🙏

UPDATE:   My fiance and daughter arrived on August 27th.  Things were going good, then i found out be accident, something her daughter said, that she was cheating on me for months.   They have a couples tattoo of a King and Queen of hearts on the wrist.    I haven't told her I know yet, but will do so the next few days.   I don't want the child involved in our discussion.  Anyway, I don't want to marry her anymore and was wondering if I should get the engagement ring back since she broke her promise to me.   I am also thinking I should message the boyfriend and have him pay her way back to the Philippines.   Appreciate all feedback.  Thanks.

😮😲🤯🤯.....I was reading the whole thread and did NOT see this twist coming 🤯🤯. WOW! Guess the CO at the embassy was onto something after all. Sorry for the way things turned out for you OP.

Denials are always tough to swallow for applicants and their families. Especially when it seems like the applicant had all of the appropriate supporting evidence they needed like your MIL did. Truth is, a visa is never guaranteed. We always suggest hope for the best but prepare for the worst.

I agree that the right advice has already been given. Your MIL and BIL can certainly reapply after a comfortable amount of time. Hopefully, they will get it.

This is so true....my grandmother is 58 years old. Stay at home mother/wife. No job. Grown kids married and living on their own. Only property to show ties to home country. The embassy gave her a tourist visa three times. For better or worse its really weird how it works out sometimes. Its like a game of chance with conditions required but not necessarily applied.

Hope everything works out for the OP and his family.

    1. Does USCIS intimate to the applicant that they were being reported by this person X about the fraud?

    2. What happens to applicant after being reported to uscis/ICE?

    3. How will USCIS use the reported information?

Is this you asking because you want to try to jeopardize ____'s relationship with ____ thinking she might choose you and so end up being the one getting the spousal visa instead? It not going to work out as you might think and you doing that is just wrong. And an air of caution, providing false information to federal agents is illegal.....you might think your getting back at someone but have everything backfire on you instead.

I hope I'm posting in the right sub-forum, but if not, please re-direct me.

We had out interview on the 9th of August at the Nairobi embassy. The interviewer was very cordial and I really enjoyed the interview. At the end she said I would need my birth certificate sent in and from when they receive it to when I get my passport back, it would be about one-two weeks. I went back to my house and sent my passport along with my birth certificate on the same day and it was received by the embassy the next day. Since then, it's just been a waiting game. It is the worst feeling as the call centre is so unhelpful. The emails are generic. I will keep you guys updated

I had my interview on the 31st of July and the interviewers at the Nairobi embassy are really amazing. I actually had a conversation with my interviewee about how her boyfriend went to college in Maine and she herself she does not like the state. Just amazing group of CO's.

Glad to hear you got your visa. Congratulations 😁

    Hey all

So I got my Green Card a couple of months ago and am going to the DMV this coming week to renew my drivers license - which expires on the 11th September. I've done a little bit of research and it seems that I was supposed to receive a couple of things in the mail, a camera card and an invitation to renew. I never received either of these things, so what is the process for getting my license renewed? Do I just go to the DMV with my green card, a check for $35 and say I want to renew? I'm in Pennsylvania if that helps any.

    Thanks

    Adam

Wow! Pennsylvania must be strict. I live in New Hampshire and all I had to do was walk into the DMV with my stamped passport (no green card yet) and they gave me a temporary drivers license. Plus the fee was just $10. You should just go and see what they say. Most likely they will renew with no issues whatsoever since you already have your green card.

Relax dont take it so personal, I was talking about the anti Trump crowd in general.

But I am more than happy to apologise if you feel slighted.

No, the thing is why are you associating the "Trump crowd" in general with my statement. You specifically said........

Oh wait you've already been moaning the last two years about him already 🤯

you were directing that statement at me. Stop trying to back track with a generalization of a group I am not apart of or has anything to do with my statement. It had nothing to do with Trump. Not need to apologize.

I am having problems scheduling my embassy interview in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. I was able to pay the fee with debit card, but when it gets to the next screen to pick an interview date and time, I get kicked out of the system. Is anyone else experiencing this?

    pls respond

I have seen a few people complaining about this. Someone said that they were able to solve the problem by switching to a different web browser, specifically to internet explorer. Hope this helps.

A child born during the marriage is assumed to be the husband's offspring.  Not following proper legal procedures in a timely manner can result in obligations for a child that is not the husband's.

Well thats why under a court request a DNA can be requested to prove paternity and avoid having the guy paying child support for a kid that is not his.

    Hi Everyone,

I am very distraught as I am typing this post. We are about to file for joint petition to remove conditions on October 2018 in about 1.5 months away. I just found out today that my wife is possibly pregnant by another man. I am so frustrated and feel so lost in all this. I have noticed that she has been working late the past couple of months. She started to be cold and distant. When I ask her if she's okay, when I know...I KNOW that we've not been too okay, she says yes or just shrugs me off. We've been fighting and what not. I try not to make a big deal out of things but I have been suspecting that something is off. We loved each other but now, I just don't know anymore. Now this. She finally told me today that she has been seeing this other guy whom she met at an office party. They've been seeing each other the past couple of months and now she suspects that she is pregnant with his child. I can't stand this. I know for a fact that I am not the father, since at least on my part, I have been taking preventive measures because I wanted for us to have our children when I am fully able to support them but not as of now. I am planning on pursuing further education to be able to build a good life for when we do have kids but MY KIDS. I don't know what to do.

I don't have time to even drag my feet to take all of this in, because we have an I-751 soon that needs to be filed. I'm not sure if delaying divorce proceedings would cause me to end up paying child support for a child that isn't mine. I have no hatred against the child if she is indeed pregnant, but I also can't jeopardize the future life of me with my own kids. And I don't think I can longer stand to be hurt repeatedly with all the lies and betrayal.

How should I proceed with our I-751?

Will I end up paying child support for a child who isn't mine even if I do a DNA test and if divorce is finalized before she gives birth? (given that we do decide to get divorced. this is too much for me.)

Can anyone shed some light in this matter? I would greatly appreciate it.

No, you will not have to pay child support for a kid that is not yours. Also, and this is important, if your sure that the baby is not your DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE SIGN THE BIRTH CERTIFICATE. Because if you do yet claim that the child is not yours, then the court will still view the child as LEGALLY yours.

How long does it takes for an issued visa to be ready for pickup? Mine has been issued for the past one week and haven't heard anything from them.

Wow thats longer than usual. Mine took two days. Normally it takes between 2 to 5 days. Have you checked your case status online just incase it has been changed?

as far as my conclusions, you disagreed with my ascertation that offensive speech begets offensive speech, so my assumption was you are ok with one sided offensiveness. My comments were not meant to be bullying if you took them as such, sorry

I didn't take it any other way other than agreeing to disagree (with certain points). Have a wonderful day.
