What should I do if my 2017 adjusted gross income is a tiny bit below the financial need but the 2018 is way above.  Could I just do the 2018 W2 with 1040 with a letter explaining and then also submit my 2017 tax transcript with w2?  Or would that not be enough?

Thank you for your help! Are you still going to turn in your documents like your 1040 and W2's for 2018 with the letter as to why the transcript isnt ready? Or are you going to wait for the tax return document to be done after 6 weeks?

I filed married filing separately and you can’t efile, you have to mail it.  Online you can put all 9s for SSN and then print it, cross it out, and write NRA for non resident alien.  Mail it in after that. 

Did you already mail yours in and it went through okay like that? How long does it take to get your tax return back after mailing it in? Thank you!! 

For those who are doing their taxes. How did you file your taxes if your spouse does not have a social security or ITIN? I am trying to file married but separatly but it keeps asking for my spouses SS. 

What line on the tax form 1040 should I look at to see if it is enough for the spousal visa? 

When uploading the tax transcripts, should it be uploaded separately from the w2? Also should the w2 for 2015,2016,2017 all be in a different file or in one?

If it is not updated on our USCIS account how can we start paying and choosing our agent? Do we need to wait to get our case number? 

We just received our NOA2 in the mail! What a great way to start our New Years. Happy New Years everyone! 

@Coker41118 did it show up on your USCIS account that it was approved before you got it in the mail? I heard sometimes it shows up on there beforehand. Btw congratulations!!!

@smith916 I didn’t fill out the G-1145 I totally forgot to include it. I guess that’s why I am not getting any emails. I guess I just have to wait for the actual hard copy. In the hard copy do they tell you which service center it’s being sent to?
