  1. I don't see the point why you want to keep working back in your country while you are waiting for the processing of your greencard to be permanent resident here in US. When I went here in US, I quit my job from my own country and waited for my greencard before I could work.. here in US. We all had our share of waiting to do it legally working in US. It didn't even cross my mind how it's possible to still work back in my home country while waiting for greencard processing or AP processing. Don't know if that's at all possible or legal but i think it may go against you on basis that why are you even applying to be permanent resident within US when you are showing desires to keep your job in your own country.

    Hey congratulations!!! Wonderful news!!!

  4. Hello!

I would just like to throw in my thoughts...

For the affidavits, I guess the important thing is to show how this person could have attested to your valid relationship, lets say spend with them quite a lot, etc.. and also make sure that she puts in contact information as well..

FOr the photos, what i did is arrange the pics in a timeline manner by date, most important moment that could attest to the marriage, covering the last two years of the marriage. Filename for each photo would describe what that event was for or where it was taken and date, and then printed it off as thumbnails in walmart. I submitted like 60 photos in thumbnails but it's only 2 pages of printed photos. It may be small but i think enough to show as proof. I don't think they care enough to really look at those in big size anyway.

  5. Updated my timeline for this.

Added S_AL_ to CSC list. Best wishes to you and all.

  7. Should i need to inform my employer about my legal status for removal of conditions if I have not received the 10 year greencard yet and the expiration date on the 2 yr greencard comes (in Nov 18)?.. Are there ramifications on that?

What is my status when the 2-yr greencard expires and I have not received the replacement card yet? Will my employment be affected?

I am just about to send my packet tomorrow... still within the 90 day window.

  8. When i had my employment background check, my employer is aware that it's my first job and i just moved from another country. I have set expectations with them that I can give them names of people who knows me in US but as far as professional background check, they had to contact someone from Philippines and they did.

  9. My husband and I watched Miss Universe last night and I was proud and hoped and knew that Miss Philippines will make it to the top 5. I think she has the best stance among the ones in top 5... not the prettiest but has someth'n to show.. Come question and answer... I was, I must admit, pretty sure she will come in last. I didn't even wait for the winners to be declared. I thought she had the advantage having heard the other contestants' answers - She could have done better. It seemed like she just plainly stammered when it came her turn...

Come on now people, Pinoys and Pinays out there must have been proud at some point, having her on top 5.. before she answered a Baldwin question...

I wonder what people will say of her if she would have won it...

  10. I am about to file removal of conditions pretty soon and I got 2 letters in the mail from USCIS reminding to file Removal of Conditions. (2) File AR11 - Change of address form. They tried sending the mail to us about removal of conditions apparently on July 30 but it got returned to them so they resent it Aug 4, which we got in the mail yesterday on the new address.

We moved from previous address to current address in March 2009, and so more than a year and a half ago, way overdue of the 10 day that it said on the form. It said failure to do this is punishable by fine or imprisonment and/or removal, kinda freaked me out. I didn't realize I had to do this until i am about to gather my files for removal of conditions and when I got these letters from USCIS (somehow they tracked us down anyway). We informed postal service about our change of address. It was an honest mistake, there was just alot going on with getting on in our lives after the move... then we had the baby... and so on and so forth...

    Am I in trouble?

Will this cause a delay in processing the ROC?

What should I do? I am sending the AR11 form tomorrow... Does it cost anything?

Do we pay any penalties for not reporting it within 10 days?

    Please advise... Thanks.

  11. the start of 90 days before your GC expires is Aug 13 (Friday). If I were you, I will send it week of Aug 16-20. Just to make sure that it's within the 90 day.. no sense of taking the risk of getting it mailed out a day early and rejected for sending it a little soon. cushion will be nice.

My Greencard is gonna expire Nov 10th. I was wondering if I can send my ROC-package on Aug 12th. Or would that be too early?

  12. I think it would still be worth calling the POE to find out...

What about if there are unprecedented delays in flight? For whatever extreme scenarios, flight gets cancelled or whatever, can he go in and out of the airport if his stamp is only until Aug 9? Just thought it would be nice knowing that there is a cushion before the actual visa expires before your trip home. Just my thought..

  13. Thank you... Indeed a wonderful journey and it's an ecstatic feeling that I wanna share with VJ family.

Happy two-year anniversary! Yes, life is full of up and downs...but it sure is a wonderful journey, isn't it?

Hope you guys have many more happy anniversaries to come! (F)

  14. We are in White Bluff, Dickson County.. think it's 3 hours ride away... been meaning to meet some Pinays from TN, also here on VJ... hit me up... we may go to Chattanooga to see the aquarium there my husband is talking about...

  15. Doesn't have to be color copies... as long as it's a clear copy you are ok with that.

We will be submitting our I-751 ROC early next week and I have a last-minute question.

Does it matter if the photocopies of the Green Card and driver's licenses are in color or B&W?

(I'm including both driver's licenses because they show the same address - I know they aren't actually required.)

    Thanks!
