  1. My fiance sent the stuff on 20 March, and two weeks later he only received confirmation that someone had signed for it at the Texas center. Now another week till the stuff arrives to CA and another week to cash the check and another week... and another week..

I'm so frustrated. And this is just the beginning.

    Please read my personal message

  2. Please help!!

My fiance checked if his check was cashed ... and it was!!! But we faced with the problem:

On the back of check you can find 4 different numbers, and none of them says "Case number"

We fouund 4 different codes, but which is correct?

    Thank you

Begins with three letters - CSC filers begin with "WAC" - someone correct me if am wrong..but three letters for sure.

Thank you. I found something like:

    ****** WAC***** **-**-****

    *- are digits and letters

Can it be case number? This code has even spaces between digits and letters,

and the last one- how I can sing up on USCIS website?

Sorry for so stupid question

  3. Finally, 6 days after being approved, I receive the hard copy of the NOA2 in the mail today. Can't begin to tell you how happy we both are. Of course this is just the beginning but at least we know the ball is rolling.

A few questions and some guidance needed from those who are ahead of me in this. Now that I have received the NOA2, what do I do? Do I stay put and wait for correspondence from NVC? In the Step-by-Step guide here in VJ.com, there is a list of things I need to do upon receipt of the NOA2. Do I have to do them now or once the application has reached the consulate, which in my case is Australia.

Second question, #2 in the guide talks about sending originals of documentary proof - I had sent copies of my passport, naturalization certificate, etc. Do I need to send those originals? Or is this referring to something specific?

The letter mentioned in #3 of the guide, I presume it would be the same as the statement of intent that I had submitted or somewhat different. Do we have any examples of them here?

Lastly, at what stage do I send the I-134 and the necessary documentation?

Any and all help you can offer me will be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks to all in advance.

    Luccky you!! Well done!

Oh well, sometmes I can't understand American Government system. Why Cervice centres work different. For example we send everything on 20 Mar, but still didn't recieve reciept confirmation from CSC!!!

Why VSC can work fast when CSC work so slow???

    Anyway my congratulations to you!!

  4. U.S. DEPARTMENT OF STATE

    Office of the Spokesman

For Immediate Release March 21, 2007

    2007/

    Media Note

    CONSULAR OFFICES ABROAD RESUME ACCEPTING

    I-130 IMMIGRANT VISA PETITIONS

As of January 22, 2007, consular offices abroad were instructed to cease accepting certain immigrant visa petitions because consular officers lacked the means to perform the required criminal background checks on American citizen petitioners, as required by the Adam Walsh Act.

Subsequently, the Department of State and the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service (USCIS) worked to develop a mechanism whereby USCIS will perform these required “Adam Walsh Act” checks for any petitions accepted abroad by consular officers.

Effective immediately, consular posts abroad will accept petitions for immediate relative immigrant classification from American citizens who are resident in their consular districts, including members of the armed forces, as well as true emergency cases, such as life and death or health and safety, and others determined to be in the national interest.

Examples of family emergency include minor children who would be unexpectedly left without a caretaker. Examples of national interest include facilitating the travel of United States military and other USG direct hire employees assigned overseas who are pending transfer on orders and need to petition for immigrant classification of their spouse and minor children at posts overseas.

To demonstrate residency in a consular district, American Citizen petitioners must be able to show that they have permission to reside in the consular district and that they have been doing so continuously for at least six months before filing the petition. Individuals who are in the country on a temporary status, such as student or tourist, would not be considered to meet the residency standard.

All lawful permanent residents, and American Citizens resident in the United States or with a permanent address in the United States, must file I-130 petitions at the USCIS Service Center having jurisdiction over their place of residence (as indicated on the USCIS website: http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/i-130.pdf).

WOW... No we will contunie with K-1 visa process... but for you I think the best way is to call to USCIS and explain them everything... I think they will understand

  5. So... here is my story.

I live with my fiance in Norway. Orginally, we were going to get married here and file for a I-130 at the American Embassy in Norway. With the passing on the Adam Walsh Act, embassies abroad were no longer able to accept these applications. Well... now they are.

My question is... can we cancle the fiance visa we filed in February?

If so, how do we do this? We would much rather go through the process here since it is supposed to move much faster.

    Any advice?

What do you mean? Where did you get this information? I am asking because we planned as well to get marry in my country (Kazakhstan) and after to file for I-130, but US Embassy informed us that they don't do it anymore ...

  6. From the experience of previous months' filers to TSC, the packet may take up to 3 weeks to get transferred and accepted at CSC. I guess they mail it via Moscow! :)

So Noa1 probably won't come until April and that would automatically move you and me to April filers list. But no reason to get upset! Why hurry indeed, your life is just put on hold for a few months, no big deal. :ranting:

I know... but sometimes miracle is so needed

Thank you for your support

  7. We send everything on 20 Mar and still didn't get reciept confirmation from CSC (via TSC, and TSC confirmed that they recieved it), so I guess if we still didn't get reciept confirmation from CSC after 1 week so we will not see our NOA-1 till May? :o

    We are very upset

Hello. .. I guess we are March fillers too. We met in May 10, 2003 on Internet. I-129F was sent On March 7, 2007.

Anybody else got their NOA2 yet? Still waiting...

  8. Obviously there was no receiver present to receive the package. Wait it out. If they return it to you, then you just have to resend it.

Thank you! But how it can be possibel? I guess our adventure starts from here

It is so simple- just to deliver. My fiance tells "We send on P.O. Box (how I-129F instructions tell you) so may be it means that nobody should sing for it", but again??? I am so confused and so upset

I saw this topic and I thought the end of the world was happening! Relax Elmira. After traveling to many different places all over the world, I can say with 100% certainty the US Postal system is much better than any other place I've encountered. If it was sent to the wrong address, it will be sent back. In that case, you've only lost a few days. Things will be fine. Someone will sing for it if it's made it to where it needs to go. ;)

I know that I need to relax, but believe me that I have been in so many countries as well and can say that US bureaucracy it the most complicated that in other counties- we have to do so many things just to marry! When in UK Fiancée visa takes 3 weeks (I work for British Government), in my country 30 days! But thank to everyone for your support and I promise that I will relax.

  9. Don't worry; I have heard of this happening a lot. In fact when mine was delivered, I got the same notice and it was delivered the next day. :)

    reach449

Thank you so much! I looked at myself and understood that I became angry so easily. I know that we are just in the beginning of this visa adventury, and what will happened to me if we meet with anothere dificulties?

  10. Obviously there was no receiver present to receive the package. Wait it out. If they return it to you, then you just have to resend it.

  11. My Fiance send I-129F package on 20 March via USPS to Texas SC. Today we checked delivery status and got the following comments on USPS web-site: "We attempted to deliver your item at 10:13 AM on March 22, 2007 in MESQUITE, TX 75185 and a notice was left. It can be redelivered or picked up at the Post Office. If the item is unclaimed, it will be returned to the sender. Information, if available, is updated every evening. Please check again later".

What does ot mean? Does anyone work at TSC?

    Please help

  12. Hey, mine also ended up sending today, 20.03 (told me he almost forgot to put in his own passport photo! phew!)

So you and I are one date, one service center (and one native language I suspect?) - our timelines will be very similar. :)

yeah!!! My Fiance finaly send all paperwork today!!! Yes, you are right- may native language is Russian and I am from Kazakhstan. So let's see what will hapened! I am so exited!

  13. I know that :) But anyway as a Florida resident my fiance sends all paperwork to Texas Service center, and i am sure when TSC forwards our paperwork to CSC they have TSC alocated people. I don't think that US Government just put more work for the same number of people in CSC. Anyway my Fiance and myself already know that applying now I will get Fiancee visa August-September. It is even better. We anounced our wedding date as 15 December since I plan to enter US in October (60 days before wedding).

I also have a commitment with my job till October and anyway I don't care to wait 7 months as i know that I am going to spend the rest of my life with my future husband and these 7 months are simply small things

    :)

If your talking about filing a I-129F then Texas doesn't process those anymore. They are all going to California Service Center (CSC). Since that's where mine is at, and seeing the CSC history, I recommend going to the pharmacy and getting a three month supply of patient pills since that's about average time for the NOA2 out of CSC. Good things are worth waiting for!!!!!!!!!!!

  14. Dear March filers - Texas Service Center I would like to wish all of us GOOD LUCK! I was reading Vermont Chart and decided to compare with Texas one (my Fiancé is a resident of Florida)- and my question is WHY???

Oh well, let see how long Texas Service Center will take us. Let’s exchange our experience and I believe it will help all of us to relax and be patient. Anyway, as I always tell to my Fiancé, it is just few months apart and after we gonna be together for the rest of our life.

We are on the same boat

    Good luck

    ;)
