  1. We saw people with NOA-1 dated on 2007-04-03, 2007-03-26 and 2007-03-26 got NOA-2 already :)...

Please... this week.. please... this week :(

Where did you see someone with NOA1 dated 2004-04-03 getting NOA2? were they CSC filer??

Yes. California SC. I found on Immigration timeline icon :) Look

JJ & JJ Philippines California Service Center Manilla, Philipines 2007-03-19 2007-04-03 2007-06-01

  2. ok I called CSC (via USCIS RFE line). I was given the standard answer - Sir we are processing cases from Nov 2006. We see that you have filed during Mar 2007 ..blah blah blah.....

I just checked my status online and I notice a TOUCH (for a moment I could not believe it - how refreshing could a touch be, I had no idea prior to this moment :) ). I had checked couple of hours ago and I didnt see this touch that time.

Anyway, want to speculate on this touch now - what does it mean? Was it caused by my phone call this morning? Could it be that some human cleaned dusted off my folder and started to chug through the information?

I called CSC again today and got the story for the touch on May 29th.

They told me that update was indeed because of Customer Inquiry..........and I was getting excited for nothing :(

Even after we called them twice our USCIS account wasn't touch at all after NOA-1. Why?

Dont worry about it. It seems it meaningless. When I called them second, the website didnt show any update for the date.

So dont worry too much about what websites says. I just think that they are trying to process in some order and they are trying to make sure that they get bulk of the cases processed within 90 days from the case filing. So hang in there, mid June is when it looks like some action would happen for you and me :)

I know that we shouldn't worry:) We looked at updates www.k1visastats.com and saw that people who got NOA-1 one day ealier than we alredy got NOA-2!

we hope next will bring our NOA-2 :)

Hopefully you will get NOA-2 after that :) We called them twice , and unfortunatelly no touches :(

  5. OK.. Please explain it means if we already sent our I-129F petition it will not touch us? But when you will apply for AOS we will need to pay $1010? (including biometrics and filing)?

increasing fees will they speed up the process? I am just kidding... :D They never will speed up the process :(

if you filed, you are ok for the 129. but need to pay new AOS fees which now is a package fee

    see http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...st&p=949086

    Oh well :)

  6. Hey, while we're all waiting around for approvals and such, here's something to distract you

Click here for the USCIS Fee Increase Chart effective July 30th 2007

The new fees are in effect and they're OUTRAGEOUS!!

  7. Soooo....

I received my NOA1, but never heard anything more from them.... In fact, according to the USCIS, my case has not been updated since the last touch on 5/8/07 yet I received a letter today mailed on 5/24 (from the NVC) saying that they had received the approved I-129F and would be sending it to Bangkok within the week.... so.... I am very happy that I have been approved so far, yet confused why the website was not updated and why I never got an NOA2. One better, I have the email confirmation of my address change from the USCIS, yet the NVC letter went to my old address... oh well.... I am still happy. :)

    Congratulations !

Why USCIS do these things? For example today we called to CSC asking what is going on with our petition, as it wasn’t touch at all after they gave us NOA-1 in March. A lady told my Fiancé that she can see our petition in their system, and it will be approved as soon as US Embassy in Kazakhstan will confirm that they have place for me in their annual allocated Fiancée visas list!!! But added that there are not many Kazakhstani Fiancée visa filers so it shouldn’t be a problem. So we decided to call to US Embassy in Kazakhstan asking when they will confirm that they have a place for me, and guess what they told me- they never heard about this list, and they never deal will petitions till it was proved and send them via NVC!!!

So I guess they confuse themelves :)

    But anyway... Congratulations!

  8. Every case is different. It is not helpful to you to try to compare your case to others. Even the timeslines on VJ are only estimates. The USCIS processing times are not useful since, as stated, they show they oldest case still unapproved.

Not it's not right that you were given misinformation but this is normal with USCIS. For that reason, it's not really worth it to call, especially when you are within normal timing.

The embassy will never have information about your case BEFORE it has been approved or BEFORE it has passed through the National Visa Center since they would have no way to receive that information.

The best advice was already given to you -- relax...you've got a bit longer to go...and don't worry about the misguided nugget of information...

Thank you very much for your reply, as it was very supportive :) I agree we still have time to wait :) But the problem is sometimes they don't update information on USCIS website  and people recieve envelopes from NVC or Embassy saying "we recieved your approved petition" :) when USCIS web-site says your petition is pending

We decided to call them in 3 weeks if we don't hear anything... but probably my Fiance will call them tomorrow asking why they gave wrong information... or may be we don't need to argue with them as if we make them mad who know what they will do with our petition

  9. 'Elmira,

Getting wrong or misguided information is nothing new - First, when they told you they're working on petitions from November - this is a standard answer, they will report the oldest petitions they are working on - it's neither wrong or right. Second - touches don't mean 'that' much - as long as you have your NOA1, and are on track with your timeline - which I see you're approximate adjudication date is July - you're OK.

There is really no reason to call and get worked up - it will come when it comes.

I know it's easier to say than to do, but relax...you've got a bit longer to go...and don't worry about the misguided nugget of information...

I hope this helps in some way...

OK, I agree that we have plenty time, but if people got approval with NOA-1 received later you received yours, it is sounds strange… but anyway we are happy for these people :)…… but when people, calling themselves professional, give you wrong information I think it is not right… when you call US Embassy and they laugh saying “please call them again and tell that they give you a wrong information”… We think everyone should be responsible for their own words… and we still hope to receive NOA-2 in June :)

and you think we there was really no reason to call? Why we can't call and ask? ;)

  10. Guys, you will not believe what happened! We called to CSC asking what is going on with our petition, as it wasn’t touch at all after they gave us NOA-1 in March. A lady told my Fiancé that now they are dealing only with November filers. It is OK, as we know this is wrong information. November filers! … but please listen what happened after… she told that she can see our petition in their system, and it will be approved as soon as US Embassy in Kazakhstan will confirm that they have place for me in their annual allocated Fiancée visas list!!! And that this lade gave us WRONG INFORMATION!!!

    Can you imagine?

Checked again on USCIS web-site, and saw that our petition still wasn’t touch at all from NOA-1… and how they can say that our petition is almost aproved when they didn’t touch it at all????

  11. OMG! Earlier today I checked the USCIS site for our petition status. I finally saw a touch. Then, later this evening I checked my e-mail and got the NOA2 approval. Seems like CSC is really moving on the March folks. I'm SO happy right now. Just called my fiancee and she's also elated! Thanks to all. Good luck to everyone here with their petitions as well!

    Congratulations! :)

  12. noa2, approved !! arrived today by snail mail. only touched once, may9. uscis sight never changed, and phone calls did not work, but its here !!!!! whats next? the letter says my fiance will soon recieve a packet, but what is the deffinition of soon in they're world? vj timelines suggest 90 days to interview, but visa stats says 30 days! oh well just wait some more, but its moving!!!! good luck to rest , check your mail box!

Congratulations! :) I can see that many recieved approval papers via snail mail, and never via E-mails or USCIS web page. It is strange
