  4. Interview is May 27th. My horoscope at Astrology Zone said that could be an important day....hmmmm. :)

OMGoodness I live for Astrology Zone! I thought I was the only 'nerd' that read that stuff!

Nope! You aren't the only 'astrogeek'. LOL! I was even going to see Susan Miller speak during a 'new living expo' conference here last month until I read on the message board (which I never do really) that she was in a bad accident of some kind in March. There were no details to respect Susan's wishes but apparently something bad happened so we need to pray for her quick recovery.

I wonder if her Mom passed away. She has been suffering for awhile! But that wouldn't really be classified as an accident. Well she's in my prayers!

I did a little search and found this:

You all take my breath away. Thank you so much for your kind words, each of you.

On March 15 last month, a little over four days after the monster full moon in Pisces March 10 (it peaked at 11 PM EST) . I fell and damaged my MCL on the left knee, but it's complicated about what happened to it. I have to wait for nature to knit it back to health. I am in a straight brace with two crutches. It's been five weeks, but it feels like five months.

The hard part about writing is that you feel a bit in a fog and very tired after you get back from the hospital .I just go slowly...this seems to be what nature wants of me... I can't go to San Francisco so I will not be speaking at the Living Expo. I am so sorry to have to cancel. I never cancel. This is unusual.

About the injury. I think God wanted me to open my heart more. There is so much pain out in the world now,..I had a dream that God called me into a conference room where H was sitting. He said, "you are forgetting about pain, Susan..".I thought I was remembering pain in others pretty well, but God said no. There is physical, emotional and financial pain. All are bad. Everyone has pain. You must feel it with even greater sensitivity."

God felt a refresher course for me would be good about now.. I have had many revelations while I have meditated in my apartment.. I can't go out, so I am sitting very still, listening to the universe, thinking about what you might be going through while nature carefully and slowly knits my left knee back to health.

Thank you so much for your wonderful words. I didn't want to trouble you with my injury. Thank you so much.

    Susan "

Wow! Poor Susan! Well at least it's not life threatning! I always look forward to the 1st of the month like Christmas eve b/c of my Astrology Zone! Most times she's on point! Thanks for the heads up Ells!

  8. I was thinking of something the other day. It seems like a lot of the petitioners and their SOs are getting through a bit easier and faster these days. I almost wonder if there's an unspoken idea circulating around at the embassy or just in general there. If people are approved and can go abroad, that means more remittances back to the home country which means more money funneling in to the country which is good for the economy. Made me wonder if that doesn't have a little something to do with approvals and things moving along a little more quickly now.

hahahaha...next you'll be posting dreams that you have had about the embassy. When is your interview again?

Good afternoon everyone....got some good news to share...My hubby finally landed a job...he got the job at applebees as the field cook but right now they have him working in the freezer loading it with meats and sorting them...and doing other little things...it hasn't been that busy in their with customers so he hasn't worked a lot of hours...he started saturday and worked sunday and they only gave him 3 hours for each of those days...plus they are not starting him at what he expected...the guy who hooked him up with the job told him he would start at 10 put they only starting him with 8... ...was pretty disappointed with that but nevertheless am happy that he finally working...they do give raises every 3 months so thats a good thing...he likes it though...he said the people there are really nice and cool...he said so far he find no faults....he will be working the evening shift from 5 to 2am though starting this friday so more hours should be coming his way...he still wants to try to get another job in the morning...my best friend mom who is his cousin is trying to get him a job at this supermarket that she goes to always...she is cool with the manager so she is going to see if she can get him a job as a stock person in the mornings...we will see....

  10. I have no more tears to cry this morning. On Friday, a co-worker told me that she is probably going to get fired today. She met with her boss's boss on Friday. He told her that her work was crappy and she was not performing at the level that they needed her to. The part that had me so down and sad, was that this was never told to her by her boss. She has been here for 18 months and you mean to tell me all of a sudden her work is #######. Anyways, she saved the company over $100K for a mistake she found. They don't want to discuss that. She is a professional with over 6 years of experience and they had her doing administrative assistant duties. She was so insulted because she had been given the title of Supervisor but she was doing clerical work. Now, I'm an auditor here and I pretty get to review the work of the accounting staff as well. I had absolutely no problems with her work. She was the most organized and knowledgeable of the information. I was so hurt because I didn't see where her work was #######. So she went to her managers and asked...Why hasn't this been told to me? That my work was not up to PAR!!!!! She told me that the manager looked at her and became red and tears began to well of in his eyes. She had to leave the room so that he can wipe his eyes. The other manager said...I had no problems with your work...must be another manager.

I just don't understand why or how people can treat people this way. They could've fired her at any time. But now that she began to question why was she getting treated that way, it became a big mess. I'm using VJ to vent right now. I'm so hurt but I just have to keep her and her family in the prayers. And when I even think to complain about my job, give thanks to God for having one. It's not even my battle...but I just feel so hurt for the treatment that she has received. Maybe God...I mean..I KNOW God has a plan and maybe this was not it.

    Thanks for letting me vent.

    Afternoon Ladies,

KK, that just plain ole SUCKS!!! Unfortunately, ther is no loyalty or ethics in the workplace these days. Just remember G-d NEVER closes a door without opening a window! He didn't want her there, KK! Her talents were being wasted!! Not to worry he will now put her where he needs her now!! She and you are in my prayers...it's so nice to know that their are still people that care about others out there! Unfortunately, that is becoming a rarity these days also!

    Hang in there!

    Bless-ed,

    Gill

  12. Hey all - I know I have been MIA, but work is shyt right now - they started the terminations in our dept, so far two down and everyone is on eggshells - on top of that, tomorrow is my last day of class and I am so behind, plus have finals =

If that's not enough stress, as things stand right now, the wedding is off - will explain more later - no other women, no typical issues - just trusting my gut instead of my heart, since it's broken at the moment. I will explain more later, but I have to try to shut this out and get through my finals - don't know how I will though.

Please keep comments about this here and not on FB - I have people on my FB page that I don't want to deal with about this now.

    So sorry Sus-ie,

You are in my prayers! Like you said just tune out and tune in to your school work! Get that out the way and everything else will fall into place!! Just know we're here when or if you need us !!

    Bless-ed (L) always,

    Gill

  13. But love regardless or race, greed, religion or nationality is ALWAYS a gamble...and if someone tells you otherwise they are lying!!

I keep coming back to my own gut. So many times in the past I have been in a relationship and had that "feeling" in the pit of my stomach. And that "feeling" has proven right every time.

In all my years of going to Jamaica and seeing stories on the internet about people getting used and hurt. My eyes are wide open, and I appreciate the honesty of the posters here who have also seen this despite the harshness in which the truth is told.

None of those things come into play when I hear the sincerity in his voice. When I see the love and the joy in his eyes. When I set my clock by him and know without a doubt, that he will call when he says he will.

Yes, I will truly never know him until he is here, or I am there and we live day in and day out.

BUT my gut knows... my gut knows that his love is real, and if one day his mind changes and he walks out...

Well, I pray I can be thankful for the happiness he did give me. Sometimes happiness can be hard to come by, and I take a chance on happiness today, with hope in my heart.

I wish for a lifetime of happiness and yet I give thanks for just a second.

With all the pain I have endured, I know that should this fail, I will go on, and I will find happiness again...

    (F)

    Afternoon Everyone,

Very well said JAPS!! I couldn't agree more!! I know I'm late...but this is the reality of ANY relationship! It may...or it may not work out! But, you love, live, learn and move on...eventually!

    Bless,

    Gill

  14. i agree with you Dada i dont even mention anything really to my friends because of the same thing everyone is like really a jamaican WHY??? he want a greencard ect... and yes it is ignorant but i cant lie i use to be the same way, i hated dancehall music and never even thought twice about getting with a Jamaican let alone marrying one  but it is funny how things change and how everything is a growing process now im the first one busting a wine on the dance floor lol and it really have nothing to do with me falling inlove with a jamaican man  i think it was the visit to the country it was refreshing to see a place where black ppl are the majority and the vibez was crazy.

That's great to hear Ladies!!! What's funny is I only told a select few of my family members that I had filed for my Ken, b/c I just didn't want to hear all the negativity...AND MY FAMILY ARE JAMAICANS, so don't feel as if you are alone or just Americans are biased towards Yardies. My Father & older family members were convinced that Ken had 5 kids in the country and was just after a GC!!

However, now that Ken has been here for over a year...my Dad LOVES himself some Ken!! Honestly, somedays I think he likes Ken more than me! "Where mi Son deh?" "Is wat yuh duh wid Ken?" "When Ken coming? I need em fi help mi wid....!" My whole family now embraces Ken...but it was difficult when he first arrived. But I just put my blinders on and told everyone to give him a chance...cause neither he, nor me were going anywhere!

However, I will say that I feel blessed because as much as I talked to Ken everyday (50 times a day) when we were dating, asked my 20 million questions 50 times each to him and travelled back and forth to Yard...you never REALLY know someone until you have to deal and live with them day in and day out!

But love regardless or race, greed, religion or nationality is ALWAYS a gamble...and if someone tells you otherwise they are lying!!

    Bless-ed,

    Gill

  15. Morning everyone!

i'm just reading today. It's hard today.

It's okay to cry Chica - that's how you get all those emotions out. (F) Once you have done that set your sights on something just for you that you want to do. Having something fun in the horizon always gets me through the down times, even if it's just something small.

Isles is spot on Wakes. It's like a horrible rollercoaster. Somedays are good and then others are just so painful you doubt you can even breathe! Do whatever YOU need to do to get through those days! Just remember ...eventually...'This too shall pass!!!' Hang in there and know we're here if you need us.

    Bless-ed (L),

    Gill

  16. and take a chance on that love. And it doesn't help to have someone come along and say "I told you so!" That's just plain petty and does nothing to open up someone's eyes to the 'dangers' of involving one's self with a Jamaican.

Yup, a Jamaican can will do anything to get here !

 ...mi ah guh sit back han si where dis ah guh...before mi start!...

my response shoulde have been--- Jamaican that will do anything to get here !

shaun i forgot to tell u..ur ring is beautiful !

That's why I said I was just gonna sit back...but I'm REAL curious as the exactly WHAT 'dangers' their are in dating...not to mention (cluch my pearls) marrying a Jamaican man!

I'm sorry as a Jamaican I found this rather insulting. Do I think what Dwayne did to Wakey was JACKED THE PHOCK-UP? HELL YEAH!!! But do I think that can happen in ANY culture and with ANY man!! My first marriage was to an American and he was a pissashyt MF'er, but I don't think there are any 'dangers' in dating an American man!!!

    Gill

I agree Gill.... It happens in every single culture out there. Not just that either. There are women out here that treat men like sh!t to now.

    That is so true Sunny!
