I'm not sure about this because we just filed for AOS too. I already have Biometrics schedule but case is not transferred yet to CSC. I thought they will transfer it after bio? When did you file your AOS?

If you are maling an I-485 (AOS) and an I-765 (Employment authorization) do you send one check for the total amount or two separate checks for each form?

If you're filing for AOS, there is no payment for I-765. What you gonna pay is the I-485 and the Biometrics.

Also what is the alien registration number and where is it located? The reason I ask is because there are questions on the forms where I have to fill that in and I don't know if I have one

Is it o n the visa? the NOA2?

It's the number starting with letter A. It's on NOA2 and visa.

I received biometric appointment in the mail today set for the 29th of feb

I received 3 NOA1 letters for my 1-130, 1-131 and 1-765 today, but not 1-485 (I am filing concurrently with 1-130 from visitor status). Not sure if I am supposed to get one for 1-485 or not....anyone?

I received my 2 NOA1 letters on the same date but received the other one 3days later.

Okay I think I am ready to mail out the AOS packet but want to make sure I have everything. What do you think?

Hi everyone,

I am really so worried right now. I had TB back in 2005 and took 6 months treatment. After that, My doctor cleared me already because it was healed but it left a scar on my right upper lobe Sad to say, the scar wont go away. Now everytime I have xrays on my chest, doctors would find densities on my right chest and those are the scars. I know that I am cleared because everytime I have my annual check up from the company, they would have to do another view of xray (apicolordotic) then they would see those are scars not active viruses.

I am so so scared that when I have my medical exam at St. Lukes, they might ask me to do a sputum tests or what nots that would slow my visa process.

Be prepared because this TB issue is not done yet. You will have more follow up check-ups here.

Today Marivic went to the airport to leave paid the travel tax then they told her they would not print her boarding passes untill she paid another 3000 peso fee. What is this one she knew nothing of it. I wont have the whole story until she is here tomorrow.

We sent out our package on the 15th and are just waiting for it to be picked up, hopefully by tomorrow.

We just have one concern. We currently live in Hudson, WI with Mel's parents but we're thinking of moving to Maplewood, MN in a few months. Here's the issue. We want to retain our Wisconsin residency but since we'll be living in MN, all our utility bills will have a MN address. We will both have WI driver's licenses.

I am just wondering what are the implications of having two addresses on this process...

You can request for visa pick-up after your interview with the consul.. Either the consul will say yes or no.

But you can also have your visa delivered to the hotel you will be staying in. Just give the exact room number, hotel name and address. That's what my friend did. Good luck.

I was diagnosed PTB last Jan. 2006. The same month we applied for K-1 visa. I underwent medication for 6months (Jan-July) to avoid delays with our application. I finished medication a day before my medical appointment and asked my doctor too for mediacal certificate that states I completed all the medicines prescribed and clear with PTB. Still and all, St. Lukes had me underwent another series of x-rays and 3-day sputum (3 out of 3 were negative). God's goodness, I passed medical without delays. So it's really recommended to get an early medical.

One month after I got here, I repeated my xray and sputum plus the tuberculin skin test. The result of xrays were cleared and sputum were all negative again but skin test was positive. The doctor said that once a person have positive TB, s/he will always have a positive skin test. If your fiance took all the medicines prescribed to her and completed 6-months (usually) medication, methinks, there is nothing to worry about. Good luck!

You're welcome. I got the notice in the mail. And yes they were the one who schedule it. On the letter, it states when and where you will have the biometrics.

Purchased mine (one-way) from United Airline. Your friends' fiance might try going to Aerotel in Makati if she wants to get ticket from UA. She can pay it cash.

It only usually takes 2 days. But if there is something wrong with your medical results, it would take you 3 or more days. Like what happened to me. It took me 8days to complete my medical. Good thing is that, I had it 2weeks earlier. I got my immunization 15hours before my interview.

So it's really advisable to have an early medical to avoid delays (worst, cancelation/re-scheduling of your interview). I met a girl from St. Lukes who followed her actual schedule and to her dismay, she needs to cancel her interview because she had to undergo 3day sputum.

hi guys., just got questions regarding ds 156. I was born in quezon city., I put quezon city in the place of birth., how about state/province?

The house where I intend to live in the states is under his moms house. But my husband is included in the title., but we are the one paying it monthly. If consul asks., if we have a house or we rent a house., what could be the best possible answer?

I dont think the house will be a problem. My husband (fiance then) doesnt have a house neither was renting when I had my interview. He was living in militar posts for like 11years before I got here but we never had a problem at all. The consul is more concern with the petitioners' current job and income.

My friend got here in the US on a tourist visa along with her whole family. She got married 2weeks after they arrived. She, now, is holding a green card with no problem at all processing her AOS.
