To boot, we file our taxes separately the last 2yrs, but I was his dependent year 2013.

I (the US cit) am in the process of submitting the AOS for both of my parents, and my fiance will be joint sponsoring the AOS since I do not meet the minimum income requirement. The fiance and I have been living together for 7yrs and have 1 child. Hence, the confusion which form the joint sponsor and myself need to submit.

As of January 31st, Nebraska center processed September 2nd Priority date as its last completed I-130.

You could file I-130 and theoretically they can simultaneously visit temporily on B2 and go back. Having a petition filed for them does not prohibit them from getting a B2 visa or entering, but it could make it much harder, especially since they are in a category that has no wait; the worst things that can happen is denial of B2 visa or denial of entry; it should not affect the petition or Consular Processing of immigrant visa.

However, note that they cannot come on B2 to "help" you take care of your child because that would be work and they are not allowed to work on B2 status.

So I guess it will be smarter to just apply for their I-130 once they are back home.

So I badly need my parent's help here in America for 4 months (I'm working full time, a full time student and have 1 child) and I am under the impression that B2 tourist visa is the fastest route to have them here. But also, I am planning to I-130 petition them, but it would take 9months to get approval and that's not what I desperately need at the moment. Is it advisable to submit the I-130 and B2 visa application at the same time? Or should I wait for I-130 petition when they go back home (after 4-months with tourist visa)? Or will applying for tourist visa cause denial of I-130 in the future?

I am the USC and will be petitioning my parents. My income will meet the poverty level for the household size of 3 (which I am thinking will be for myself (petitioner), my mother and my father (immigrants). I just graduated and started the job 3 months ago (so I don't have an ITR form yet).

Have one child and I live with him and the daddy (my fiance). My fiance supports the child financially 100% and he meets the poverty level for the household size of 8.

On I-130 form Part 5 question 4 "If you have a dependent child, enter the number here", should I enter 1 for my son even if the support is not coming from me?

Also, would it be beneficial Affidavit of Support wise if I sign up my fiance as a co-sponsor?

Hi everyone. I am a 10yr GC holder and just gave birth last July. I am now confused what's the fastest and secure route to take to bring my child back to USA.

Here are some of my concerns:

1. I will be out of the USA for 8months total. Am I going to have problem with the immigration upon entering the USA again? I have proofs of keeping my ties, ie: taking online classes, keeping a US address, paying bills, etc.

2. I need to be back in the USA first week of January in preparation for Spring sem but I am disturbed that my child's paper will not get here on time. Is CRBA my only option? I've read somewhere that if the mother is a green card holder, she may bring her child without a US passport just as long it is below 1yr old. Anyone knows about it?

From my understanding, you need to apply for visa extension one month before the expiration; in fact, you can apply for the extension the same day you arrive in the Philippines. The 38-extension will commence when the 21-days expires. Depending on your location, you can always go to the nearest immigration office; I'm afraid am not certain in regards to their working hours.

You'll get used to the weather soon before you know it. I was originally from Colorado and it is really cold there during winter season (and fall.. and spring). Then I moved here in Indiana and it was worse I've gotten used to it nevertheless. In fact, I still use a cooling fan at night Try to use portable heater, it will help.

Its funny -I have a buddy who married a Pinoy 2 mths ago .He bought a car and was teaching her to drive .She crashed the care twice   in 1 week . My friend is a patient man . He allowed her to ''learn  to drive '' with the car after he left the Pi . I will have to have  faith like ''Job '' with my fiancee when she gets to the Usa soon . We will see .

I puked when I first started driving by myself (going to work). The next day, I hit the mail post while backing up. Left me no driver side mirror. Good thing it was a company car. Insured. Lol!  

She will be getting some driving lessons from me while going to driving school. We are both very patience.
