I was born in Jamaica and since I migrated I go back a couple times a year to visit my family. When I first met Lance I never really even paid him any attention. I was 16 at the time and I thought of him as just another one of my cousin's friends. But a couple visits after meeting him I noticed there was something about the way he looked at me. The look gave me more than butterflies....oooh and when he bites his lip!!!! Ok earth to Marie lol. Where was I?...so we became friends and would hang out while I was down there and when I was over here we'd talk on the phone. We always joked about gettin married and ray ray but we nothing ever serious until a couple of years ago when he told me I was his best friend and that he loved me. We've been dating ever since and in January (God spare) we'll become one

Honey...when I went down to JA I brought Lance some sweaters that he requested. Although it doesnt seem very cold to us it is to them. Lance lives up in the hills of Manchester so its gets "cold"....One night we were out on the road and so many ladies had on those velour sweatsuits and guys had on hoodies. I looked so odd in my halter top

Congrats 1luv!
He loves it so far. He keeps calling home and talking about everything he's seen here. I've heard the story about 10 times already. He's amazed at the malls the grocery stores. I filled up my cart at the grocery store and it was $110. He was stocked because we spent $100 US in Jamaica and had about 3 black bags and I was in shock. He said no wonder a lot of americans are overweight because the food is so cheap. LMAO Jackazz...
that's EXACTLY what Lance said when I told him about the dollar menu at McDonalds

MrsW..hopefully that NO2 will be on its way soon!

As some of you know I had to write my ill Grandmother a letter in September (her request) and I had a hard time. She died Oct. 18. This past weekend after her wake I received a letter from her and I wanted to share a part that really touched me. Don't know if it will have the same effect on any of you but I felt compelled to share.
"I want to tell you the kind of human being I hope you will become. The most important things in this world are people, family, and relationships. Never money, status, possessions, or professions, ect.
The world is full of hurt people caused by selfish, violent people. Hurt people that hurt people. Your job is to find that broken heart, give it love, acceptance, and a place in this world. Never look at someone as bad (evil) look way beyond that to help them heal."
Classy, its so hard to forgive, forget and accept those people..but ultimately its what we need to do. Your grandmother is so true and she gave you some great words of wisdom

Morning 1luv!
Morning VJ fam...I forgot to sign off yesterday so if you saw me down there I wasn't ignoring you...its just that I wasn't physically at my computer
Yaads, I lived in southern cali from age 2-7 (Irvine to be exact) and I've lived on the east coast ever since....spent some years in virginia and north carolina and I remember my mother HATING it there (VA AND NC). So we've been in Florida the past 7 years. I was young when I lived out west but my mom is always wanting to move back to Cali. She likes the climate and the good paying jobs. The only thing stopping her is the fact that Florida is so close to Jamaica and she makes frequent trips there.
I've been thinking alot about relocating (remember I made a post about moving up north)...but a few days ago it got chilly down here and I had a hard time dealing with it. I love the warm weather in Florida and all of its diversity. Its a great place to raise children and great place for retirement as well. There's so much to do here for people of all ages.
I've been thinking maybe ATL but I dont know..I'm going to wait until Lance gets here first, visit a few places with him and then we'll make the decision together

Mornin everyone!
JAEyes...if I met a man and he started to talk about marriage within 2 weeks like JG said I would be running away no matter WHERE he came from. Marriage is a LIFELONG commitment. Take some time to get to know him and his family girl![:star:](https://static.visajourney.com/images/uploads/emoticons/default_star_smile.gif)
