She can mention it. The CO will look at your marriage certificate to verify it’s real. The chances of needing to file the I-90 are very, very small because the system will update.
Thanks for your reply. I understand the authentication of the certificate I was wondering about the CR1/IR1 being an issue.
We are married for over 2 years now. But I feel better after you saying it will update automatically. I will tell her to mention it.

The interviewing CO will probably mention it, but if not, don't worry as it will change automatically in the system. Your wife should receive a greencard with the correct IR status. If not, file an I-90 and have it corrected.
What is the I-90 form and were do I find it?
Would it be better with the interview being soon to just have her mention it right away at the interview?

Hello all
Wifes interview is in 12 days. We have been married for over 2 years and during the address registration part my wife may have chose CR1 instead of IR1. She did not see an IR1 category.
Should we call UStraveldocs to have this changed before the interview?
We are going over everything and are a bit paranoid about details.
Thanks

Hello
I am hoping I can get some help. My wife's interview is coming up. NVC DQ'd
Registered address and she has attempted contact to make her medical appointment for Vietnam but she gets no answers from the phone numbers on the department of state website.
Does anyone know how to reach someone to schedule her appointment?
Does she just go? Any help will be appreciated.

My wife is attempting to create her account to register her address. She keeps getting an error.
Can someone tell me how much I can help her register? And does the typing must be in English characters?
Help appreciated
Thanks

Just fill them out (name, DOB , address) whatever is requested of ex spouses on the forms. No need to provide any proof. Provide divorce decree or marriage termination documents. That's it. Then forget about ex spouses and front load for the current spouse.
Thank you sir.

Me and my wife are preparing for her interview in October.

How many trips I made. She said 2. She also said we got married on the third trip(she thought the third trip was the second because she forgot about the first.) She was technically right we got married on the second trip.
I see these as really important questions to get right.

If the latest interview including the phone interview happened on March onward this year, no personal visits in last 3 years could have also played a big role. Second half of 2021 is kinda post covid for travel so covid reason for 2021 usually don't fly.
Overall it seems you two need to spend some time together especially to get over with this denial after these many years and also to strengthen the evidences of bonafide relationship to start the next petition. Not sure wat sort of supporting evidences were provided during i130 and during the visa interview, but make sure to start collecting all possible evidences.
I thought HCM just opened May 2022 for tourists? Is this not correct?

We communicate in english and both interviews were also in english. I thought our case was very strong. I submitted way more than they asked for when they gave a us a 221g. I visited 3 times between 2018 and 2019. Obviously covid stopped us after that. Guess I'll be booking a flight soon.
Hello. Sorry to hear you are going through this. IM in similar situation because of covid. They just opened on the 15th of May and I can't go back yet because of work. I read some reviews of the interviews and one spouse was not present and his wife still got her visa.
I have my fingers crossed. We just got DQed.
I hope you get this sorted out. An attorney said not to answer any questions she does not know. To say i don't know is best.
Good luck

Hi thanks for reply. I looked it up and I will have her disclose the error at the interview.
Thanks for putting in the time to answer.

Hi
My wife just signed and submitted the DS260. The problem is last night I updated the countries she visited last 5 years. I saved it and then re logged back in and checked again.
This morning reviewed a few more things. She submitted it and when I went back in and looked at the review those countries are gone and the question is blank,??
Has anyone had something like this happen before? And if it dropped those somehow what do we do now?
Really sketched out right now about it.
Thanks.

Wait for schedule maintenance to complete and try again.
I was under the assumption by reading it that the maintenence should not last that long. Anyone can help?

Is she trying to check the HCMxxxxxxxxx case status? Screenshot is from mobile phone in VN. Good luck!

No she is trying to login. She is not seeing the normal view with the continue button. Just a generic screen.

Hello
I am in the US and my wife is in Quang Ninh region and I can access CEAC from phone or laptop but when she goes the the website there is no continue button.
Is there a specific way you access NVC website in Vietnam?
Thanks in advance

Choose download. Then submit the downloaded transcript file to NVC via CEAC upload. Then print a copy of the downloaded transcript. Bring that printed copy to the visa interview.
Thank you!

Yes -- tax RETURN transcripts. You need to submit the digital version to NVC. The visa applicant should bring the printed copy to the interview.
Thank you for your reply.
So I want to be clear headed here. At the IRS website i choose download instead of print?
And the paper copies to take to interview will be the printed transcripts from the site or that which my tax person filed?
-
I have the same question. Can someone tell me which category on the IRS website is best.
Return transcripts? There are 4 categories.
Also are printed versions ok or do they have to be sent from the IRS themselves.

Update - She PASSED! But still need produce a Macau Police Report within 1 year, then they'll grant her a Visa.
The day started at 5am. She got there at 7am because she had to wait in line to get a ticket. Gates opened at the HCMC US Embassy around 7:30am. They had to get her finger prints and security clearance. No Cellphones or any type of electronic devices. No bookbag or such. Only allow to carry the documents you need once you enter the building. You can put your cellphone in a locker and they'll return it to you afterwards.
Due to Covid-19, they were only allow to interview behind a glass screen (no office room interview) in front of the counter with social distancing. She could see other people interviewing beforehand.
Questions they asked:
1. How did you guys meet?
2. When was the last time you seen you fiancé, approximate date?
3. Who does your fiancé live with?
4. What's your fiancé mother's name?
5. Did you guys have an engagement party here in Vietnam? If so, was any of his family member there/attended?
She waited for about 1 hour and the interview took about 10 minutes.
She said it's the luck of the draw with what counter or interviewer you have with. She was lucky to have a nice Consulate interviewer. The translator was nice too.
She said she noticed one counter where a lot of individual failed. You can tell by the expression on their faces as they left the counter.
All we need to do now is wait for the Macau to finish investigating her police report and hopefully she can be here by April or May 2021.
Congratulations.
Can you tell me she still had her interview without the police clearance? How did she tell them she could not have it at the interview?
Thanks

Very sorry to hear of your situation. If you end of annulling the marriage I would call NVC and withdraw the petition as well as send a formal request to NVC to withdraw it and cancel it. If you have not filed the DS-260 and paid the fees, the file will terminate after a year. But is still best to withdraw it. Maybe with USCIS also. Again sorry to hear of your troubles.
This virus has created many headaches for everyone and I am afraid it will for a long time.Good Luck with whatever you choose.
Well we have talked and we are hanging in there but this Covid is really pressing Vietnam right now. No work and there is no welfare or unemoyment there. A lot of stress.
And still no Police cert from Taiwan. Very frustrating. She is calling them tomorrow.

Sorry for the vague question. Yesterday was an emotional one. Covid has affected everyone but in the case of being married. If the marriage is terminated during the NVC stage what happens at this point? Is the file just terminated?
Spouse has not entered the US yet.
Its been a year and a half and the lock downs put an immense amount of stress on our marriage

I wondered the same thing but I think most domestic flights can use your national ID? Or do they give you a temporary doc?
