Obtain tax transcripts for the last 3-5 years and have them handy. Transcripts can be obtained online. Better to have them and they don't ask for them than not to have them and they ask for them. You never know what the officer might ask for. Remember each individual's case is different. Do you owe any taxes? If you do, you need the payment plan from IRS and any proof you are making payments (i.e. IRS tax statement)

*DALLAS FIELD OFFICE*

FYI: USCIS Dallas working to seriously reduce backlogs. No more oath ceremonies at the field office as the swearing in space will now be converted to office cubicles to accommodate the additional officers being expected. Swearing in ceremonies will now take place at Plano convention center henceforth. Their goal is to have 42 officers against the current 22 or so officers adjudicating cases every day. For people with pending application, be prepared as you may be called in for interviews sooner than the current processing times. Don't wait until the last minute to start putting yourselves together

Just thought you all might find this post interesting. Many, many variables for instance between paper filers and online filers, other interesting facts the FBI apparently want to make sure that 98 percent of people have passed their security checks within 30 days. Obviously it also goes on field office processing times, those with short times often find themselves inline and then straight to the interview letter. Also, it seems that people who applied years after the anniversary of their GC go inline and have an interview notice nearly immediately after security checks as they take priority. Obviously its not written in black and white, but its worth a read.

The biometric appointment letter shows a Code...1,2,3...5.....Code 5 means they take fingerprints for four fingers on the right hand. Depends on the code shown on the appointment letter.

@dassy004 use https://www.uscis.gov/about-us/find-uscis-office/field-offices to search your field office based on your residence ZIP code.

Nice...you are scheduled for biometrics.....You should see your notice online by EoD Monday. If your scheduled ASC accepts walk ins you can print the notice and try a walk in.

@aaakortee The link https://www.dhs.gov/sites/default/files/publications/privacy-pia-uscis-nass-july2015.pdf states that biometric appointments are scheduled weekly...From my experience and a number of people, they are being scheduled on Fridays and you will be notified on Saturday. If it will be scheduled on Friday, your online account will be updated on Saturday and the notice will appear on your online account on Monday then you will receive the mail later in the week.

@DesiCan Dallas has the worst backlog....I have the same timeline of 26 months meaning the case should be concluded by June 2020. The 2 months will change once the application is received and accepted....That's just the timeline to when you should be scheduled for fingerprints. Your fingerprint appointment should be scheduled by Saturday.....They schedule them once a week.

Some people in Dallas have recently gone through the process ...application received to oath in as few as 5 months .....I don't know the criteria USCIS uses. The website might show 26 months but the actual timeline might be way shorter.

Hi,

Based on https://www.dhs.gov/sites/default/files/.../privacy-pia-uscis-nass-july2015.pdf, NASS centralizes all USCIS biometric appointment scheduling.1 NASS provides automatic biometric appointment scheduling for applications that are processed by: Computer-Linked Application Information Management System (CLAIMS) 3,2 CLAIMS 4,3 USCIS Electronic Immigration System (ELIS),4 and the Refugee Asylum and Parole System (RAPS).5 Concurrent with scheduling biometric appointments, NASS also triggers the Notice Generation System (NGS) to create appointment notices for applicants. NASS sends notice data including the appointment date, time, and place; notice transaction identifier; applicant information; and respresentative information to NGS to generate the notice. NGS then creates the appointment notices and sends them to the Enterprise Print Management System (EPMS) to be printed and then sent to the applicant and representative, if applicable.

Since NASS already generated the appointment date, the letter will be uploaded online once it has been generated and sent out. We should expect to see the notice online in the next 1-2 days if the notices will be mailed out today.

That's weird...I don't think there is anything to worry about since the receipt date which is used to determine eligibility is correct. Reach out to USCIS through you online account inbox and they should be able to provide you with clarity.
