  1. I may be wrong on this.....But i really dont think that your priority date changes. It dosent make sense for them to change it. If they are to change it, then they would not send you a NOA1 with that date. According to official rules, if they are going to change the priority date when they transfer to any service center, then they should send you the NEW NOA1...but noone in the past has received a second NOA1 when they are transfered.

So, take it easy, I totally believe that the priority date is ONE and ONLY ONE.

    Good Luck!!

  2. Just this weekend my timeline, said that

Based on timeline data, your I129f may be adjudicated as early as March 4, 2007.

and TODAY it says March 11,2007.

I am so sad....is it cus of so many holidays.....

I feel like every second that is adding up in the timeline is taking me more away from meeting my husband.

How do you all feel? :(

  4. I am asking this question on the behalf of a friend (US Citizen) who is about to submit an I-129F application. It's been over 1.5 years since I've had to deal with the Fiance visa process. Am I reading the Processing Time correct? Is it presently a 6 month wait before the visa is approved?

    Thanks.

It takes about 6-8 months before the visa process is complete. Do refer to the processing timelines link on this website.

Also, the processing times may vary based on your service center location.

    Good Luck!!

  5. I filed my I-130 at vermont in September for my wife.

Now I am thinking for K3 visa, Can I file I-129 now?

Is there any advantage of doing so?

I would very much appreciate your insight/suggestion.

You can either wish to file I130 or not. I have heard that if you file the I130, then it speeds up the process (but dont know how far is that true). I think you can still file I129F, if you havent received the I130 approval. Once your I130 is approved, then you cannot file I129F.

    Good Luck!!

  6. It will take on average about 70-80 days for your I-130 to be approved. I-129's may be a little faster. You should sign up for e-mail notification on the USCIS website. You'll need to have your NOA1 receipt number. My I-130 took 87 days before it was approved. Some are quicker some are longer.. it's really hard to tell.

    Good luck!

Thanks a lot...i hope mine gets approved faster as well. i did sign up for email notification...but they dont really send anything....

    :-))

  7. Hi all,

I just looked up the processing dates at the california service center and to my surprise saw that the receipt notice date for I130 & I129F is both June 15, 2006. Just yesterday, it said, March 15, 2005 for I130...and today it changed.

What does this mean?.....i am so confused...

does that mean..they are hurrying up in their paperwork....

can anyone tell me how much time did it take you to get your I129F approved?

    thanks for reading.

  8. Other people have been inyour situation before and had no problems... It might be a bit different had you filed immediately after the last one but 2 years and getting to know someone etc, these things happen...

I might suggest talking to a immgration attorney, just to help settle any legal questions about your previous petition.

    good luck.

Thanks a lot for your quick response. really appreciate....

Does anyone else have any insights into this...thanks in advance.

  9. Hi, friends, this is my first time here. My story goes like this:

I was engaged to a guy who was a canadian citizen. I filed the K1 visa for him as he was my Fiance. We went through the whole process and he got his interview date. But on the interview day, he didnt get the visa. (he told me that the officials denied him the visa as there was something wrong with the fingerprints, therefore he has to get some kind of security clearance). I know this is true, cus i accompanied him to this interview and he came out with that paperwork. After that, I came back to US and kept on contacting him on the phone and internet. But started sensing that he was loosing interest in me. Suddenly one day, he broke the engagement (it wasnt sudden as we didnt get along and had fights all the time). When he broke the engagement, he said he has cancelled the visa and dosent want to come to US. I said OK and didnt do anything about it. ( I was young and naive and made one mistake, didnt keep a record the paperwork and didnt cancel the petition myself, just believed he did it). Now after 2 years, i got married to this wonderful guy who is awesome and have applied for him. I have filed the 1130 and 1129F.

    My question is:

    1) I did mention in the paperwork that I have filed for Fiance visa before but dont know the status, it was abandoned.

    2) Do you guys think that this would create any problem with my current situation.

I am being very honest with the Immigration officials and am not keeping anything from them. I just hope my past will not create a problem for my future. CAN ANYONE OF YOU HELP??????
