Are separate timelines written by each person needed for HCM? If so, can one timeline be in Vietnamese and the other be written in English, or are they to be translated into one language? Are both turned in at the same time?
You only need to write one timeline in English. Someone was required by Consulate for notary. Relationship Status need to be written by both sides.
Relationship status?
Sorry, it is Statement of Relationship.

Is it allowed to carry handbags, folders and clear bags into the HCM Consulate? No phones or electrical things.
It is ok if you use it for evidence in your interview.

Hi. It has almost been a month since they received my paperwork and I have not received my Biometrics Notice yet. I am getting a little anxious thinking that it might gotten lost in the mail. Should I call and find out when it was sent. Does anybody know the phone number? Thanks in advance. 2for2
You should try to wait one more month.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH! I UNDERSTAND NOW. HOWEVER, I CAN NOT LIST ALL OF THEM. VIETNAMESE PEOPLE ARE ALMOST IN CALIFORNIA, WE MET ONLINE, SO IT IS VERY CLEARLY NO SHORTCUT.
She only needs to list her direct relatives such as: parents, aunts, uncles, sisters, brothers.

Is it me or almost ALL of the "beneficiaries", especially those who can perfectly understand and speak English since their petitioners in the US are US born citizens, NEVER bother to come in here to say "Thank you" to this board after their arrival in the States? After all, they wouldn't be here to enjoy a better life, hopefully, if it's not due to part of the tremendous help from Visa Journey.
I'm wondering whether they're too busy or they just don't CARE?
DauQue, there are some other webs by Vietnamese language to help fiances or wives to understand their process. The only thing they need to do is to search by Vietnamese language and post the questions.
I still come back here sometimes, but I think that I should appear on the Vietnamese webs to help the beneficiaries (Viet girls) because they need me in Vietnamese language. In here, VJ, you had all the information from webs and others friends. Do you need me to post the other webs for the wives?

wow!
I sent USCIS the form for "Change Of Address" about 2 months ago but I didn't receive any confirmation from them or anything else. Should I be concerned ?
You should change address online, it will be updated on USCIS system immediately. Remember to check on the old address for any mail from USCIS may go there.

The problem of the wives or fiancees is listening. They didn't practice with different accents in English, therefore they will be confused when they listen to the new accent of a strange American man or lady. Besides, they are very nervous in the interview, that makes their status is more worse and it can lead to misunderstand or be difficult to understand what the CO want to know.
The sounds of CO comes out is not so clearly, I used to work and talk to many different American, English, Singaporean people by English.. but I still felt a little bit difficult to heard what they said

We were in the same situation as yours, Marc Ellis said I might get the blue sheet. I tried to prove in the interview our relationship and I passed.
The most important thing is evidence and her English skill. Your timeline should be reasonable and correct.

Hi all,
Does anyone know what vaccines are required? When Chinh got her visa, she was given a slip of paper that says (in Vienamese) that she needs vaccines when she gets here but doesn't say which ones. Anyone have any idea?
Thanks,
Erik
Look at the process of Adjustment of Status on this website, Guides, you will understand more.
She had 2 sheets, yellow and white ones, after she took the vaccination in VN. They recorded all the vaccination, she only need to do more if it's not enough. However, when I arrived US, the doctor of USCIS in US said that was enough, I didn't have to get any more vaccination. Check with the doctor of USCIS if you want to make sure at link: https://egov.uscis.gov/crisgwi/go?action=of...office_type=CIV. You has to transfer to form I-1693A from that two sheets if you are on K1 case.

I received mail for biometrics today, appointment on July 8, but I have to move to another state with my husband on Jul 2 until the next year. We don't move permanently, therefore I cannot change mailing address or re-schedule biometrics at the new place. I drove to local USCIS, came in and told them the situation. they said you have to wait. I waited for more than 4 hours at their office, finally they did the biomentrics for me. Phew..., I did it.

They will not write his name on invitation letter for interview and no interview for him because he doesn't need visa to come to US. He's already US citizen.

Timeline is showed at some nicks' signature in this topic already.
They required timeline because it shows very clearly the development of your relationship.

Matthew, your fiance first name is HuongGiang, not Huong.
CONGRATULATION.
I wanted to call her but I know that you are on honeymoon, I don't want to bother both of you. I will move to Florida on beginning of July.

I filed on May 11, 2009. No biometric appoinment yet.
I'm waiting now, if it's over 60days without appointment letter, I will do an info-pass.
It seems that there are a lot of people has late biometric appointment.

Has anyone noticed that today's processing time report for CSC does not have the I-751 listed at all? or is it just me?
I noticed that as well. and if you look at Texas it looks like they are now processing i751. I dont know if its an error or not
I cannot check my case online from the receipt number. I don't know what's wrong there?
-
We filed in January and did our biometrics in early March and there have been no online status updates but yesterday we got the NOA stating USCIS had lifted conditions. I think they are just behind in updating their systems and that is reflected in the lack of online status updates.
I'm waiting for Biometrics (ASC) appointment letter, I cannot check online status as you said, eventhough on the processing time.
-
Hi All,
Does all of your I-751 ASC appointment notices start with a EAC ?. Mine does and I have not been able to find the status online for the past month.
I had the I-175 receipt but no ASC appoinment yet, I also cannot find my status online on USCIS website. I'm wondering how can I follow up. I have to wait for the ASC letter to have the code to follow up?? If this ASC letter doesdn't come yet, I won't know what is happening??
Who has been go through this process, please help me.

My wife just submitted a notary letter from me and the proof of airline purchases after the interview on 1/20 in Vietnam but still ended up with a blue slip. The blue slip did not say anything except asking her to wait. We are deeply disappointed and sad. Can anyone please tell me what to expect next?
Here is our time line.
Met in 4/17/07
2nd trip to Vietnam 9/07
3rd trip 4/17/08 to get Married
5/14/07 File I-130
1/20/09 Interview - Received Blue Slip asking for My letters and proof of Plan purchases
2/02/09 Submitted additional documents - Another Blue Slip which tell her to wait...
Please shed some light here and we are feeling so desperate...
You can send letter to the Senators of your local state to ask for help. You should prepare all evidences to show to them. By this way, the US Consulate will answer you sooner. I don't know if the result will be better or worse but at least they will answer you quickly, you don't need to waste time to wait for the same answer with a longer period of time.

Hi everyone! After reading some of the recent threads, can someone give me some guidance in getting a police certificate in Vietnam?
How current does it need to be? Can it be obtained early, to prepare?
Does it need to be obtained from my fiance's hometown? How do we know where to go for this?
As far as having it translated to English, how do I find a reputable company?
My fiance is no help here, he has never gotten anything translated or a police certificate. Please VN members, your input would be much appreciated here. We expect packet 3 any day!
Looks like some other VN members will be having their interview around the same time, maybe we can all meet up for drinks!
Mr. Leggs, Jonas, anyone else?
Thank you everyone
Bug
This is a part of Vietnam side, your fiance should take care of it at VN. You can do nothing in USA.
Tell your fiance come to "So Tu Phap" of the province or city to apply for the "Ly lich tu phap". It is simple and only takes your fiance one ride to "So Tu Phap".

Thanks don't know how I did that! Been working a lot of hr's and must have been on of those memory f**rts lol! it is right on all the other doc's.My wife also had her name spelled wrong in several places. Heck, they even got it wrong on her eventual visa! Nothing bad happened. I wouldn't sweat it. Just make sure it's right documents from now on.
You can send email to US Consulate to ask for fix her name, otherwise, she may get some problems in future for other documents in USA such as Green card and SSN because they are in different names.
-
get someone who have experiences in this field and little extra money to speed up this process, this takes 1-2 week if you can find a good "dealing" guy. This is usually happened in provinces which have strict guidelines. Nothing you can do about it just do what they told
NGUYEN QUAN is the birth place of Father or the original place of family, where the family came from. For ex, if the father came from VN to USA, he became American citizen but his "nguyen quan" is Vietnam.
They saw the reason she applied for Police Permit was to go to USA, they tried to do somethings to have corruption. You should look for some people to help to give them some money, then it will be ok.

Sorry to bother but is there anyone who may have some information on this?? ThanksThe 129F was approved on the 11-17-08 and left on the 11-25-08! Furthermore, yes I did call...after looking at timelines for the Consulate, in Ho Chi Minh, they at lest should have the paperwork.
My fienace has made calls every day since Dec. 10! Has anyone else experienced this?? i wouldn't worry to much as long as I knew it was at the consulate?
According to your timeline, your case left NVC 11/25 - how did you come to this conclusion? (I assume you called NVC.)Your file would not be lost. The process is slowly. One month already, now I think that your wife should bring the copy of approval to come to US Consulate to check if the file arrives yet.
It used to take me one month to wait for the file transfering from US to VN Consulate.
Please be calm and patient. You should check the time table of others to know how long it went.

You are very patient.
CONGRATULATION.

Yes. Statement of Relationship or Intent to marry. One of them is enough. I just want to make sure you do one of them.
If you have "Intent to marry", you should write timeline.
If you have "Statement of Relationship", you may not need the timeline because the "Statement of Relationship" shows it alread.
