Congratulation for getting back the passport. I am on AP since May 28, 2019. Around two and a half months.
Hang in there! Patience is the key. This Administrative Processing was driving me crazy.... the feeling of not knowing what will happen is quite disturbing. One fine day, out of nowhere I randomly checked the status and it said "Visa Issued" - Alhumdulillah. It will be the same for you, soon

My case is EB2 (NIW).
My immigrant visa interview was held on May 28, 2019. The next day they emailed me to send 'Updated CV' and 'Travelling history' to US embassy in Islamabad. I sent the next day via SpeedEx.
Me and my wife are placed on Administrative Processing since our interview. We were handed over 221(g) form. They also kept our passports.
On July 31, 2019 I sent an inquiry to CAEC to see if they received the documents, however I didn't get any reply from them. Please tell me what I should do?
Since how long you have been in Administrative Processing? My husbands case took 90 days. If they have kept the passport, thats a good sign. The CO took my husbands passport on April 17, 2019 and we got it back on August 1, 2019.

Immigration officer gave me 221 G Required domicile ( Islamabad Embassy). My mother is US citizen. I am submitting following documents.
Neutralization certificate
US passport
Pictures Showing she lives in USA
Boarding pass
Stamp in passport entry in USA
State ID
Voter ID
She have not bank account, property & driving license.
Is these documents are enough for domicile? Kindly guide me.
Thank you
Can you tell me a bit about your background? Your mother is a U.S. citizen and she has sponsored you? If that's the case and you are over 21 years of age, it will happen, just will need a little time. They are asking for your mothers proof of domicile..... Okay so proof of domicile is basically to show that your mother lives in the United States and is paying tax as a local citizen. In order to prove her domicile , she did submit the right documents.... Excluding, the naturalization certificate and passport. That is not really needed.
- Voter registration card is good.
- Did she file her taxes? Those papers count.
- State ID card is good. Driving license doesn't matter if she has an ID. It's the same.
- Pictures showing she lives there are good.
- Its okay, if she doesn't have a property there. But wherever she is living, can she add her name to the lease? That will show that she has a place to live and her name is on the house / apartment documents?
- If she doesn't have a bank account, she should have one. One letter coming in mail saying that XYZ has a bank account.... just scan and upload that bank letter is good enough. If she adds money to the account and makes small transactions that will be good enough. Because the monthly bank statement will show her name, her address and details of her card using.
- If she shared her boarding pass, passport stamp, that is also great.
- She can go to any public library and get a library card on her name. Its free. That is also a solid proof of being a local citizen.
I'm just throwing out easy and doable suggestions which can add as a proof of domicile and may help you in your case.
Let me know if you need any further assistance. Best of luck. Cheers!

I don’t know if anyone can answer this but I am trying to find out if I can accompany my husband for his CR-1 interview in Islamabad. I’m the beneficiary and I live in NY. (Also, a US Citizen) tried calling the embassy but they said to email them. I’m hearing and reading mixed answers. Can I go in with him? I just want to book my ticket once I have an answer. Please help.
@Ishah786 - I accompanied my husband for his interview and I regret that I did. But in our case, we both are in Islamabad together so we just went. The interview is only for him. If you're thinking to come to Pakistan just to be there for his interview.... I would highly advice not too. Rest its up to you. It clearly says on the interview letter that only the Applicant is suppose to go. Just make sure he takes loads and loads of evidences of your marriage, pictures of you both together, group pictures, honeymoon reservations, any proof of you both "living" together... that kinda stuff.
I pray this process goes smooth for the both of you InshallahBest of luck.

May I know what is the reason for Administrative processing?
I wish I knew. Our interview was pretty good. They are various reasons for ones case going in Administrative Processing. I personally dont know the reason my case is in it. Its pretty common though from what I"ve been researching online. The dreadful wait period though.... ugh!

No my mamu is sponsor
So in this case, I'm assuming he sponsored your mom (as a citizen can sponsor their siblings), and thats how the entire thing is being processed. Since he isnt an immediate relative (spouse, children, parent), thats why its taking its time. I wish you the very best

Thanks for sharing. To confirm - this is for the Islamabad consulate or Singapore?
This is from Islamabad consulate. I was just giving you a general heads up of how much time to roughly expect till the scheduled interview. Best of luck!
-
Hello Rohit,
It took precisely a month to schedule an interview. We received an email on Feb 20, 2019 that our case has been forwarded to the embassy for scheduling an appointment. On March 13, 2019 we got the interview letter via while. That's when we scheduled all our medical work and got it out of our way. It took 3 visits to have the medical examinations taken care of. Our interview was on April 17, 2019.
The interview was rather simple, but make sure you take all valid proofs, tax papers, even the tax transcript for that matter... all sorts of evidences that make your case stronger. You never know what they ask for, so be prepared. Best wishes

Check upon your fathers questionnaire? What do you mean... Who's the sponsor in this case? Is it your dad? Hats off to your patience.... its been a year. Best wishes and prayers for you. Hope everything sorts out real soon. Inshallah

How long has it been that your case is in AP?

IR1/CR1 no missing docs just for Administrative Processing
Kept passport.
When they give you a 221(g) form, it gives a reason of why they are giving it to you. It means you are missing out on something thats why you are under AP. The form has little boxes which the immigration officer ticks off.
Anyway, best of luck! Hope your case sorts out soon. Inshallah -

How and which way you try to inquire please let me know .
- After 4 weeks of submitting your documents, you can send an inquiry on their website asking for an update. The consulate does not respond to phones calls or emails about immigrant visas. You can only go on their website and fill the inquiry form. They took about a week to respond to my inquiry. I'll share the link with you below:

My fiance (K1/K2) received a 221g for AP and both passports were returned. Her interview was on June 13th. Last update to case was 06/18/19 for K1 and 6/26/19 for K2.
Currently K1 shows AP and K2 shows Ready.
Why did your fiance get a 221(g)? What did they further ask for?

The instructions normally ask you to mail the supporting docs thru the consulate's courier service...I have never heard anyone having to upload anything online.
Actually in my case, the immigration officer asked me to upload the documents on CEAC, which we did. I inquired from the embassy after a month and they told me they have received the documents but they still have not been reviewed.

Submitted via courier, I think submission visa ceac is done only at NVC stage.
Let's all hope we hear something soon.
I submitted my documents on CEAC as the immigration officer asked me too on the day of our interview. My husbands interview was on April 17, 2019. The same day he got a 221(g). We submitted the documents on May 18, 2019 and have been waiting since then. I sent an inquiry to the embassy and was informed after few days that they have received my documents on CEAC and then the same automated response.

Yes our case is F3 immigration case on the day of interview they kept all our passports and till now case is in administrative processing and passports are in the consulate
I read that your grandmother has sponsored you & its also taking time because of your step-kids. They are probably doing a thorough security clearance. Its very frustrating, I understand. But the current govt. administration has prolonged cases like ours. Best wishes!

221g Was given on Oct 23rd and they kept passport. We received a questionnaire about a week later. Our case had updated on its own many times through January now it only updates when we inquire.
If you don't mind me asking:
- which visa category are you in and why did you get a 221(g)? What were you missing out on?
I'm guessing your interview was on October 23, 2019 and that's when you got a 221(g).
- Did they also keep your passport or was that returned? Sorry too many questions.

Hi, did you submit the documents or upload them at ceac. Im confused , I submitted my documents via courier but I don't know if I have to upload them or not
At the time of my interview, I was told by the immigration officer to upload the documents on CEAC. I have read other people sending their stuff via courier. When I got in touch with the embassy, they mentioned they have received my required documents, however they have not been reviewed yet. Such an annoying waiting period. Best wishes!

Hi. I was issued a 221G and had my passport returned to me.
I have since submitted the requested document after which my case was updated twice.
Nothing since then. Had my interview June 21.
The processing has slowed down ridiculously.... If you had your interview on June 21, 2019, then just wait for another 2 months before you contact the consulate. Otherwise they wont respond to you. Best wishes.

Why did they give your fiance a 221(g)? What further documents did they require? And have you submitted them?

Don't worry. You submitted the right stuff. Try to arrange the other things if possible... Its best to submit every possible thing one can arrange to avoid any refusal which causes further delay.
