He picked just picked it up from Aramex. So it took the embassy 9 days from interview....woooohoooo embassy!! Looks like he'll be here in two weeks. He's going to try to get a ticket for first of April. OMG..I have so much to do. My house is a mess...lol. Off to update my timeline and signature.:dance:

  2. Thirdly, we were approved this morning. They kept my fiance's passport and said the standard schpeel of 3 weeks, but we know it means 3 months or more. It does not matter. We fought hard for just over 2 years for this day, and finally victory!

Fourthly, To those who wait, never give up or give in. Fight hard, and keep your eye on God. Walk by faith and not by sight. It is not easy to always believe, because as humans it is our nature to doubt. But each day is made new as is His mercies.

Thank you, each and every one! I will remain, as always, your servant. Bless the name of the Lord God Almighty!

OH WOW...congrats. I'm so happy for you

  3. So pull up a bean bag and let rip! Let us know how you're settling in, how AOS is treating you and anything else - you know what we're like!! We don't shut up!! :D

Ok - I'll stop ranting about this now ;)

*pulls up a squashy, soft yellow orange bean bag - the colour of sunshine :D *

I"m here, ready to join you all...lol. We got visa approved yesterday. Just waiting for him to get his passport back then he's on his way...yay!!!. I'll have to look around for beanbag..lol.

  4.:dance::dance: I don't know the details yet, but I just got sms....visa approved.:dance: I'll post later when I find out the details. Thanks everyone for the slumber party last night. I had so much fun.

Okay wasn't sure if I should start a new thread, so decided to just add to this one.

He wanted me to tell anyone going to the Embassy in Amman....do not ask the security guard where to go. They don't know, told him go wrong place and he was almost late..lol.

He was interviewed by a lady consulate. He said she was very nice but it was a tough interview. He said she wanted to make sure she understood everything very good.

She asked him about his name...why his father named him that.

She asked about the relationship his father and mother have and the relationship between his father and stepmom in USA.

She asked about my kids (said wow when she found out the oldest was 17)

She asked him why he wanted to marry someone older with three kids...especially when one of the kids was 17.

where he was planning to live in the USA

    asked about his sponsor

Other than that pretty much the same questions you can find posted on VJ.

Only evidence of relationship she asked from us was pictures of the engagement party and she wanted details about the party.

He said the actually questioning (more of a conversation you would have on the street) time was about 15 minutes, then she handed him his paper saying he was approved and told him to go pay aramex the 5 jd.

He said that sometimes she would switch in the interview from english to arabic, but he always answered in english. Also at one point she confused him and he simply said...I'm confused. That was okay, didn't hurt anything (he was worried about admitting he didn't understand something..lol)

Almost forgot...they fingerprinted all ten fingers and kept his passport.

  5. Hey guys, I went to photobucket and uploaded a pic of our son Malek. He is 6 days old in this picture He's doing great, we had to go to baby formula because he was losing so much weight and he is so content with it. If anybody has any advice on how to downsize this pic in photobucket I would appreciate it..its like gigantic. Also has anybody else had troubles uploading their display picture? I keep getting that my files are too large and it will not scale down. I hope all is well with everybody. Sounds like we are getting some good news here with some visas coming. Ayman has his interview next Sunday so keep us in your thoughts...God bless us all!

Just got back from the store, I'm stocked on my munchies. Getting ready for the long haul :D Sehrab Just now left me to go to bed. Poor guy is so excited and nervous he's having trouble sleeping. I hope he doesn't look like the walking dead for his interview.
