Nothing for me yet. Hoping it comes soon.. my God, I am so sad.....

It is difficult not to feel such intense emotions in your situation.  You have come so far though!  Be proud that you are strong enough to make this happen!  We are all special for enduring this, including you.  Visualize your happiness for when that moment comes and the time when you look back and this process is all behind you.  You will be so proud of yourself and realize you have achieved an amazing dream :)

Ive been calling everyday twice a day. This is horrible i cant believe its taken this long.

One Jan 15 got scheduled for april 30th

Another jan 15 got scheduled april 16.

    A jan 9 got scheduled april 25th!

    Theres no order.

The lady said today that they were still working on April but who knows anymore.

If you call let me know what they tell you.

I will call again tonight and I will keep you posted.

Completely agree.  Getting an interview should be the easiest part!  After all the chaos, documentation, obstacles, resubmitting of same documents again to a different entity, all the fees, crappy answers and responses, waiting on top of waiting, somehow the most brainless process is the worst of them all.  I look at the embassy website and there's tons of appointments available!  I can only shake my head in disgust.

    1. 8. Can I Reschedule My Visa Interview? Yes!
    2. 9. Log into your account at https://ais.usvisa- info.com/en-gb/iv and select “I Cannot Attend My Appointment” and follow the instructions Rescheduling Your Visa Interview
    3. 10. Rescheduling Your Visa Interview The appointment booking system reflects real-time appointment availability If the available dates are not suitable, please check periodically as cancellations occur on a regular basis Please note that you cannot reschedule your appointment to an earlier date than that which was scheduled for you by the NVC

So much conflicting info.  But this seems to be from a third party also?  I would always suggest that it NEVER hurts to ask.  (The story of the malevolent judge in the Bible is always my philosophical reference point.)  I would at the very least call the embassy in Jamaica and ask them.  :)

Yea, it seems so, where did you check? I am here registering my appointment online, not sure if I should do it before or wait until I get the letter

Well since my consulate is in Cairo, I direct myself to their webpage.  That being said, I think instead of scheduling an appointment, contact a representative there via email or phone and ask them directly?  You have your official date for the end of April, so I would simply ask them if it is apropos to reschedule to an earlier available date :D

Also add this, the true power lies in the fact that the Consulate now has your case.  I would imagine the negotiating power is much greater now that you've transcended the robotic nature of the former institution, hehe.

What does this mean for me? That I can reschedule? If so, how do I go about that?

I was checking the interview dates for the US Embassy, and there seem to be a plethora of spots open depending on the physical location...  I would assume that we have the power to contact the consulate directly to reschedule to an earlier date...  Seems to be a better move than contacting the NVC!  I am still awaiting an interview date, but please let me know what you discover!

Also, I guess if the embassy only has 20 spots for a giving month the 20 persons will go through and the rest will have to wait until the next round of appointments is release. I pray Jamaica is not busy.

I honestly feel as if the rep who told me this was having a bad day.  I always get different answers when they call.  I am sure Jamaica will not be terribly busy.  Maybe you will have beginning of April interview?  It's still within the 30 days that the website affirms is typical for scheduling.  :)

  7. I talked to an NVC representative today whom informed me that there is NO TIMELINE for interview dates at the US Consulates.  She told me that the embassies have a cap on how many candidates the NVC can schedule in a month, and that this number is unknown and undisclosed by the Consulates.  She also indicated that the NVC schedules Completed Cases in the order of date at their respective Consulates.  Considering this information, the faulty 30-60 day range listed on their website, and this silly "beginning and end of month" scheduling routine, they are representing that this process can take an unpredictable amount of time.

  8. I had the worst thing possible happen today.  SD is 1/25. logged in this morning to find that status changed to "AT NVC" then called and got through after 30 minutes on hold to be told the case isn't even being reviewed yet.  Called back, got the same answer from a different rep.  I logged back in and the status message reverted back to the same "Action Required Status."  No checklist, no CC, nothing.  Just a cruel joke?

congratulations to all of you with a CC.

We paid the fees on Friday right when we got the CN and they were taken today. How long does it usually take it till I'm able to do the DS260?

I am assuming you are referring to the DS-261, and the Affidavit of Support Fee.  NVC doesn't allow for both fees to be paid simultaneously, rather in succession after the initial AOS fee is paid.  That being said, if you've completed DS-261 (appointing an agent) and paid the AOS fee, it has been taking NVC 2-3 business days to accept the funds and update the status.  Typically it's taking 5-7 business days from the payment date for the next steps become accessible.  Bear in mind this is a rough average based on multiple reported thresholds.  I've seen some go much quicker than this, and some a tad bit longer.  My overall estimate from case received at NVC to IV application scanned is about 3-4 weeks total. :)   Hope this helps!

Hello every body . i sent all my files and forms( IV and AOS ) on Feb 15th. how can i check that NVC receives ?

and how do i know about Scan Date ?  the online status still showing  like (Submit the required forms)

You will want to call the NVC directly.  603-334-0700 Listen for the prompt regarding mail.  Make sure to have your case number and beneficiary's information readily available. :)

Mine was 23rd jan. But what i am seeing here now is worst that people are not getting interview date even after Cc

Yep.  It's one torturous obstacle after another.

Wow! called NVC today to get to the bottom of the Japanese Police report check list, apparently it's just to "remind me" to bring it to my wife's background check to her interview when its scheduled. I guess I was CC on the 14th of Feb. So I was a scan date of Jan 23. That's three weeks and 1 day. Good luck to all! so now, how often should I  call to check for an interview date?

Awesome!  I am glad you don't have to redo anything. Congratulations and God Bless.

I like surprises, so I hope so!! I have been on the phone the past 20 minutes waiting for an agent!! They are very busy today!

Poor guys.... It's like they're being punished for their three day weekend.  But yeah I suspect that Jamaica doesn't have as rigorous embassy scheduling as say Mexico would for instance.  I am optimistic about that, and for mine too, since my consulate is in Egypt.  Hopefully 2-3 weeks?
