    Please help...

Hi to all. My husband's interview is coming up on July 18, 2019 in Juarez. When I uploaded the Affidavit of Support info to NVC,  I used my father as a houshold member so that we could combine our incomes together to reach the income guideline amount. I live with my dad.

But, with everything going on and people getting denials at their interviews for public charge (age, social security benefit income), I am thinking of just getting a joint sponsor instead, my brother. He doesnt live with us. He's single, 34 years old no dependants and makes well over the amount required. He has provided me with his taxes for past 3 years, all transcripts. Do you think that I can just use him and just have my husband take his I-864 packet and evidence instead of what I had uploaded to NVC

I thank you for your help and advice.....🙏

Interview was on 7/18/2019. My husband was APPROVED!!! 👏😍

  4. Hi everyone. I am in desperate need of your advise. Sorry if this is long and confusing 😥

My husband has never been in the United States and his interview is coming up on July 18, 2019 in Ciudad Juarez.  Previously, I filed the I-864

and my parents each filed the I-864a as household members, since I do not meet the income requirements (I have 3 dependents). I work full time, my

dad works part time and receives social security benefits (retirement). My mom does not work, but also receives social security benefits (spousal retirement).

    They file their taxes joint/married.

My worry is that my parent's SSI benefits will not count as income. All of their SSi benefits are included on their tax return, but I see that not all of it is counted as "taxable" income.

Their "Total Income" is less than their "Household Income".

If we go by the Total Income, we do not meet the income guidelines for Affidavit of Support. But if they go by Household Income, we do. Which one do they go by at the US Embassy?

Lately,  I have been seeing a lot of people getting denied for I-864 errors and I am confused and worried. I do not know what to do. I want to be prepared.

Should I look for another sponsor?

Please help. Thank you very much in advance...

I am so frustrated with electronic application center (DS-260) I am trying to sign and submit but it doesn't move on to next step, confirmation. It keeps asking me to enter the code , sign, submit. Is it a glitch, perhaps? Is anybody else having trouble???

I finally got all my documents approved by NVC. Once they have confirmed interview date , they will email me again. I am happy and grateful to God. Now is the final step and last waiting game..Mexico is taking looooong to issue the interviews ( 7-10 months I hear). But we have gotten this far already, we are almost there!! Good Luck to all!! 🍀🍀🍀

  6. I uploaded my AOS and civil documents on 2/12 hoping I would get CC soon. Just received a response from NVC,  stating 2 of my documents were rejected. My household member's naturalization cert needs to be uploaded horizontally and another document was not readable. How long do you guys think it will take for them to respond after I upload them correctly?

I hate this stage so much!

My wife and I were approved for expediting our interview. I just got on to schedule an interview at Ciudad Juarez and it says that the soonest appointment is August 22...is this normal? If I schedule my appointment, can I change it if a sooner appointment opens up? This is so incredibly stressful, we've been married for 14 months with still no end in sight...any perspective will help.

    How did you get expedited?

  8. Ok guys, I have a dilemma. I'm soooo confused. This is the situation. I petitioned for my husband. He lives in Mexico. I live here in Texas with my parents.

I already paid the fees. My Dad will be filling out an I-864a as a household member , to combine his income with mine. The question is , if my father files married/joint with my mom, does my mom need to fill out an I -864a as well? She does not work. But she does receive SSI . My father works and also receives SSI.  All of that is included on their taxes.

I have gathered the following tax documents. I do not know which ones I should send:

tax transcripts for my father and mine for 2015-2017

    W2s + income tax files for 2018

    Please help!! I'm confused

    Thank you

So... the notification text and email come directly from USCIS, because you have an account in the new website  with notifications ON right?

Yes hun, I got the email and the text that said the following:

We have taken an action on your case.

Sign in to your account to view your case status.

And there it was. My approval as of Nov. 15, 2018.

But I got the notification this morning @ 5:30 AM  Central time 😍

The old website has not updated, nor the case app.

My case was approved on 11/5 and then we received the paper notice on 11/9 and then yesterday, 11/15, I was notified via text and the app that the case has been sent from USCIS to NVC/DOS for visa processing. It took 10 days from approval to be sent out by USCIS....4 weeks and 8 weeks definitely seems long.

I called NVC the other day and the lady was so sweet to give me tips and tricks to move things along faster. She advised that I call once a week to ask for a case number and to give them our contact information. She said that it can take up to 6 weeks, but most of the time it's faster. She did provide a tip for when I DO have a case number. She said to get a number and fill out the Choice of Agent and then submit it. Once that is confirmed to print out the cover sheet confirming submission and to call NVC to have them process it right then and there. She said most people don't do that and so they have to wait for it to be processed...which can take 3 weeks.

If I were I would call NVC every day until they give you a number. I plan on calling this afternoon, since I was just notified that the case was sent yesterday. I also suggest sending emails to inquire about it. NVC tends to prefer email to calls. Here is the email I used:

    NVCINQUIRY@state.gov

Thank you for the helpful information. Best of luck on your call this afternoon...
