Sharing my I-751 from CR1 YSC timeline and

September 9,2021 n-400 applied and Change my legal name though n-400 from
Apirl 26,2022 n-400 interview scheduled
June 14,2022 N-400 interview and pass civic test At Greer,SC Field office but decision can’t not be made because I-751 file wasn’t there.
The officer said hehe have to request the file from another office and he will approved I -751 then the filed come. (I don’t have to go back to interview) after that I have to wait 2-4 months until oat ceremony scheduled because I change my legal name.
June 24 ,2022 I-751 got transfer (Gard bring produce )
- n-400 status change to Oat Ceremony will be scheduled.Noted : Wait for judge oat ceremony because I change my name in n-400 from.
———————————————————————-
I bring my husband and I ask officer that he need to be in or not. The officer ask me back if I have kids. I said yes. So he said my husband doesn’t need to be in.I bring all the files along with me. But the officer said he will do the N-400 and civic test first.
After I passed civics test he ask information about the from and also told me to confirm about my name change. So I say yes.
Then he told me it will take 2-4 months for Name change process.
At the end he look on file and told me that my I-751 have to be requested from another office. I passed civics test but a decision can’t not be make until he got the file.
Then I asked him if I will have to come back for interview I-751 again. He said no he just going to approved from the file. And after the court approved new name they will schedule oat ceremony.
Notes : There are no 100% that you will get combo interview at the same time. And some people already got 10 years green card still have wait for supervisor to review their I-751 before Approved their citizenship.

Just received a 24 month extension letter yesterday. Went in August for biometrics and had previously received an 18 month extension letter in October of 2020. We filed our I-751 in September 2020 at the Potomac Service Center. Wondering if they'll just issue the green card automatically.
Almost of the time they just sent Greencard.
My I-751 YSC case on September 2020 too .
biometric May 17,2021
I applied N-400 on September 2021still don’t see anything from USPS about Extension letter.

We have not received anything from USCIS. The last thing we received were the I-797 NOA and they returned our Photo Album. People on here advised us not to re-submit the album. Calling USCIS is near impossible. They make you speak to machine and it won't allow you to wait on hold. I don't know what else to do nor do I know what is going on.
on the case status this is what it said: sent you the receipt notice that describes how we will process your case. Please follow the instructions in the notice.
What do do now?
Anyone else on the same boat?
You can call them and said “Infopass “ they will let you talk with USCIS Tier 1 agent in 5-10 minutes.
we have to lie that we need inforpass so they will let’s us talk with real agent. -

Hi everyone. I recently received a case update saying my case was transfered to another office for processing and that a transfer notice in the mail will follow. Any idea what this means? My case is originally at Vermont Service Center (EAC).
My opinion is maybe EAC have a lot of backlog so they process to transfer to another office. I wish you have better service center soon.

Yeah mine has been at MSC for 179 days with no biometric appointment yet. I’ve seen others from may and June 2020 fillers only got their Biometric Appointments in Dec 2020 and Jan 2021, so hopefully within the next few months we should get an appointment. If you haven’t done Biometrics in the US, I read somewhere that they can’t reuse your finger prints because there are none to reuse in their system, as the international system is different and they are only checking your background outside the us but now your in the us they need to take them here to have in their systems here, so unfortunately for most CR1 cases they won’t be reused fingerprints. Don’t worry to much, yours probably just went to Potomac as they had to many at MSC at the time so they send them to other centers to lighten the load a bit. Unfortunately MSC and Potomac are slower centers so we’ll just have to wait.
thank you for sharing. I try to call USCIS today . But not be able to reach Tier 2 USCIS.
Hopefully we both hear anything from him soon.

Hey Guys, September filer here! NOA1 was October 1st. I’ve just noticed that my case updated on the 15th saying “show fingerprints were taken” I’ve had a quick look on this thread, but can’t seem to find much. Does this mean my biometrics will be waived? Also my case is “LIN” Nebraska I believe? Does anyone know if this is a quick(er) or slower office? I’m for sure going to get a request for evidence which sucks! I forgot the affidavits! Thanks in advance! Levi
What’s kind of visa that you have before.
I have CR1 but my application sent to Protomac Not MSC. -

I was hoping that my fingerprints and biometrics will be waived as well , since a few people with msc and the same timeframe got theirs waived, but I’m not too hopeful the longer I waitExcept my extension letter I never got anything else in the mail , is that normal ?
Are you form CR1 case.
