I am planning to send I-130 forms too for my mom but I am a lil hesitant coz her marriage contract has a typographical error. Example her lastname is Belagio in her marriage contract but her birth certificate is Belayo and that last name in her BC matches in Her passport.

One more question. Do you need to send all these requirements or this will be to follow? Thanks for response.

If you are petitioning your mother and her name in your birth certificate matches her name in her passport then you are ok. You only need to send your birth certificate and proof of your US citizenship if petitioning your mother. Her birth certificate and marriage certificate are not needed in that case.

  2. Good to join this thread!

Our three IR-5 I-130 petitions reached Phoenix today on the third day of two-day USPS priority ! Waiting for the receipt notifications.

The petitions are for my parents and father-on-law and none of them are in a big hurry to be here, but we agreed that we should start the process nevertheless with their advancing ages. So overall, I don't mind if USCIS takes its time but want to make sure it is done and the approval notices (curiously called NOA2 in the family immigration forums!) are in hand.
