For those going to interview: the office is skyway connected, which is nice.

The interview itself is easy and straightforward.

However, I'm a member of "A decision cannot yet be made about your application." club now. Please check back in four months...

It still shows Nov 2019 for me (interview scheduled on 01/02), so no worries here either. As BruceW pointed out, "My USCIS" shows worst case scenario based on overall office performance, not based on your specific case.

Yes, this is exactly how my case had looked like till I received notification that my case is scheduled for interview. Just be patient.

It looks like they have two separate systems - one that Case Tracker uses (https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/) to get case status and "My USCIS". So, there is nothing wrong that they show something different at any given point of time. From my experience, EGov receives updates first, and My USCIS is updated day-two later.

Nope, just N-400 alone.

Nice New Year present: case tracker now reads "On January 2, 2019, we scheduled an interview for your Form N-400, Application for Naturalization". 11 months exactly from filing date.

First lucky '18 filer! You are a week ahead of me (and 4 others), hopefully this won't turn into 4 months of waiting.

Enjoy +1.5 months of processing time (15.5 to 23 months) as of 12/18, guyz.

Question for all that are done with all this: are wait times on myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov ("Estimated wait time", "Estimated case completion time") reliable?

Good news everyone!

USCIS just published updated processing times. We are sixth office now from the bottom (were second) with 15.5 months min and 21.5 months max processing times!

What a beautiful lawsuit I've found! There are few organizations that have balls strong enough to sue USCIS for N-400 delays: “Defendant’s extreme vetting of naturalization applications and delays in the processing of these applications denies thousands of lawful permanent residents the opportunity to more fully participate in civic life and to vote in important upcoming elections”. Unfortunately, they have waited too long to file the lawsuit.

Hey, collective mind, many people here mention statuses "inline for interview" or "scheduling for interview".

My USCIS account still says "We reviewed your biometrics" (for almost 8 months to date). Should there be status update between biometrics and interview?

@Morris Marina, @BruceW, @BobH, any updates with your applications? According to the spreadsheet you may have received or should receive soon interview letters.

@marcusa the problem is that no you did not  in my case, for example, I've waited 9 months (yeah, could have another baby), and I'm not even half through the process (have to wait 13 more months; I'm curious if they will add few more years or not).

USCIS behavior - to keep applications for indefinite time - is simply disrespectful. If they can keep them processing for 2 years, what prohibits them from not doing anything at all?

Even when you apply for U.S. visa, you schedule an appointment and you get decision right away. Apparently if you already paying your U.S. taxes they don't have any reason to treat you better.

I remember my experience with I-495 that took 18 months to process, with senator calls/infopass/lawyer assistance etc., and this makes me rather pessimistic.

@marcusa, yes, I've had experience dealing with their office in the past and it was something like yours.

Apparently USCIS doesn't even bother to adjust responses to questions raised by the Congress and Chicago mayor. Everything is good on their side, obviously.

And BTW - N-400 processing time at Mpls USCIS isn't the worst: for USCIS in Atlanta it takes one month longer (up to 25.5 months).

When did you file your N-400?

Late Nov 2017? WOW there is tiny chance that my interview (filed 2/2/2018) could happen before the end of the year!

+2 months? Don't worry, mine went up +7, filed this Feb.

To all Minnesota filers,

USCIS MN N-400s processing pace slowed down again in 2018Q1, fourth quarter in row. Despite of lesser number of filed applications, backlog grew 500 apps, reaching 15672 apps.

With current pace of 1850 apps/quarter simple math tells that current ETA to process a N-400 is about 34 months.

@GetIT, two weeks of N-400 cases per month? Yep, with that pace it would take even more than 2 years to process mine.
