In box 19a it states yearly income, so place your 2017 yearly income for 2017. If you want to use your most recent tax transcript of 2017, 2016 and 2015 then that’s fine but also write a letter explaining of your new job and supply your W2 and 3 months pay stubs.

What also helps is to get a letter from your employer with a company letter head stating what your salary, position with the company is and if you have any benefits such as health insurance that you will supply to your Spouse once arrived in USA. HR Dept of your company should be able to type you that letter and be sure it is signed, not just stamped with who they are in the company.

Thank you very much! I really appreciated.

In the year 2017, I made less than the amount is required to support petitioner. Should I enter that amount? or Yearly income I make on my new job?

Hello UMD92, Because you have until April this year to file 2017 Tax’s you can use 2016, 2015 & 2014 for the last 3 years. Then you can make a copy of your W2 for 2017 showing your income for the entire year of 2017. You can also supply 3 months of current paystubs... If you file your documents to NVC after April deadline filing then you have to simply write a letter explaining your situation..

Hope this helps.. I just got done with NVC so all is fresh in my mind..

Thanks very much for your answer.

I have already filed my taxes for the year 2017 and I got the transcript as well. Transcript only shows the Half amount(EX: 15000) (I made from July to February). I have my pay stubs (from a new job) and taxes from 2015,2016, & 2017. For my MOST recent taxes, I would like to use my 2017 tax return and for that what amount should I enter in 19a? Amount my transcript reflects which I made from Jul to FEB or Yearly income (New JOB)?

  4. Thank you for this thread.

I have a question to ask:  I was a student and graduated in May 2017 and worked part-time. I Started a full-time job in July and currently making above the requirements, but taxes only reflect the amount I made from July to February.  Now, My question is: What should I put in 19a (i864) for my total income? Should I put the amount I make yearly or the amount my taxes reflect. For example, Currently (new job), I make $30,000 in a year and my taxes reflect $15000. Totally confused.

The request was indeed the new form I-130a only, we already furnished the requirement just today, thank you for those comment that advance notice and gave us hint last time....

It was sad to know we neglected to proofread the items we sent Aug., Since we furnished it all June2017 but for other factor the petitioner needed to fly back to USA so that is why we became AUGUST FILER.

But I praise God for not giving us hard rfe requirements and every delay happens for a reason. Patience endurance is; indeed needed on this journey...

On the brighter side atleast we are now catered and knowing potomac service center is snappy in processing papers. We just have to be keen in the future...
