If you email the DS-3032 then no bar coded sheet is necessary. The email should be send from your parents email address. I am not sure at what point they link cases together, but when you send the AOS put one for each parent in separate envelope and then both envelopes in a bigger one. Also, on the cover sheet for one of the cases (not bar coded but personal one) point out that you have paid only one AOS fee of $88 because your cases are for both of your parents and they should be linked together. You may have to wait until you get NVC and IIN for both parents. This is exactly what I did and what I was advised to do by an NVC operator.

Won't the NVC link the cases for both parents together when you call them?

Except for the first touch of entering it into the system, I didn't get my first touch until day 100. So sit tight and relax.

It takes about a month to process. My NOA2 is still with them because they process these things very slowly. I need to pay $200 to get a new one. What a waste.

I sent two digital pics and I didn't even date them and no RFE. They are more interested in primary evidence such as passport stamps and ticket stubs. If you want to be really paranoid about it, take a pic holding a newspaper with the date clearly visible. No one will argue with that I think. No CD's or USB's, they just want paper.

Thanks for the tips. I finally got a hold of them at 8:00 AM EDT (yawn). They gave me good news and bad news. The case file was sent out Feb. 12 so my fiance is likely to get her packet 3 quicker. The bad news is they said they don't track the case files when they are sent. (how did everyone else get this info??) Guangzhou is one of the slowest consulates on the planet, so my fiance will likely wait 3 months before she gets her packet 3. They won't tell me if they have it until just before they send out the packet 3. Today they told me they didn't have it yet. Also I have no way to determine if the case file got lost in the system, so there is nothing to do but wait and hope they don't screw up. If anyone has any other ideas to see if the consulate received the case file, please let me know.

Why is China so slow to get anything done? I realize I have been working on this for like five minutes compared to most and I feel everybody's pain. From my research we are looking at one of the longest Visa process on the globe.

I'm with you all the way. The CSC and the Guangzhou consulate are the worst possible combinations. I have seen some people with NOA1 dates after mine get their visa already. I can't even confirm the Guangzhou consulate has our case file yet. It will probably be July or August before we get our visa. (that's if everything goes well)

I received a letter from the NVC dated 02/12 that my case file would be forwarded to Guangzhou within a week and they gave me a case ID no. GUZ**********. I call the NVC to get information on when it was sent and if they received it, but I can't talk to a human there. My case isn't even in the automated system there and every time I press "5" to be connected to a representative, I get kicked back to the automated system. I called the consulate in Guangzhou, but they state they haven't received it yet. It should have been received weeks ago. Has anyone been through this and how did they get the information on when the file was recieved and sent by the NVC and whether the consulate has received it or not?

Is the record in the email or is there a hard copy they snail mail to you?

The record is kept on the internet site, but you can print it out as you go along.

You don't need proof of an ongoing relationship when submitting the I-129f. You only need to prove that you personally met your fiance within the two years preceding your application. You will however need the proof of the ongoing relationship when you go for your interview at the consulate. Some cards can be charged on the internet with a record of each call. I use Dynasky myself but there are many others. Good luck!

I'm in the same boat too! And the wait for the Guangzhou consulate is just as bad. Think July or August for Visa approval if everything goes to plan.

People whether 17 or 77 will always have free will, but the responsibility of adults is to teach and preach what is right and wrong. That is the best we can do.

But since you talked about the lessor of two evils in the other thread - what's the lesser of two evils? Unwanted pregnancies or teenagers having sex? Keeping in mind that most often, teenagers are going to have sex no matter what you tell them.

I am pretty welcoming to life, and I would never use the word UNWANTED. Some pregnancies are UNPLANNED, but children are always always always a gift from God. Sometimes, though not ideal, teens that have kids turn their lives around and make better decisions after being faced with growing up quickly. Kids/teens are not stupid, if they are going to make the poor decision to have sex that could lead to an unplanned pregnancy that would forever change their life, they are going to do it. From birth you teach them and what is right and wrong with the hopes that something someday will click and you pray that if they are in the situation where there is the opportunity to have sex that they will think twice about it.

same with smoking and drugs. I can't hold their hand or be with them every minute.

If your teenage daughter says, "Mom, I couldn't wait until marriage. I'm sleeping with my boyfriend," what would you tell her?

That's a relief! I only included 3 passport stamps and 2 pics of us together. It seems logical that should be sufficient, but logic doesn't always apply to governmental agencies. Congrats on the NOA2.

I hired a lawyer to do our K-1 because I had no idea of the process, and, like all of us, I was in a hurry to get a visa in hand.

In the 2.5 months I've waited for the NOA2 I've fretted a lot over whether my lawyer included enough evidence of relationship, especially when reading on this board about all that some people enclose. In addition to the usual myriad of forms (letters of intent, etc.), my laywer only had me include 3 pictures of me and my girl and copies of my passport stamps (for one visit). That's it. No tax forms. No e-mail or snail mail correspondence. Nothing else. I certainly could have provided more evidence and even suggested some, but this was all he wanted.

I mention this for those struggling to put together their apps. Maybe you don't need as much as you think you need -- just a few well chosen and irrefutable bits of evidence that you've really met and bonded. Maybe this makes the life of the USCIS arbiter easier. Who knows?

Did she get her visa and come to the USA?

I have broken things off with my fiancée because of something that became known thought the medical testing during the K1 process that I didn’t know before I started. I allowed the visa to be processed because I do care for this person even though I choose not to marry her because of this. I thought that if I canceled the petition It would have left her in a bad spot with the embassy (Manila) and she would have even a harder time getting approved if she finds another or even attracting another if they knew what they were up against to get her. Believe me It wasnt good!! Anyway when I found out about the problem it caused me to have to fly to Manila three times this year to deal with it. I jumped through all the embassy hoops to clear her name so she would be ok in the embassy eyes. It was difficult but she was cleared and approved but by getting her approved I never thought about the problems it could cause me.

Since then I have met another that I'm interested in so I’m wondering if I petition this person in the near future will this cause me a problem even though I never fulfilled the visa of my X-fiancée? This has all happened over the last year and I figure if things go well I will petition a K1 again next year.

I would like the thank everyone that gave constructive comments. I have decided to stay with her and continue our relationship. Time will tell if this relationship will survive. We are so early in the Visa process that we have much time to figure this out before the big decisions need to be made. At this point I can for the most part attribute this to an error in judjment by a naive young girl who came clean as soon as she realized her mistake and learned her lesson. I don't claim to corner the market on perfect behavior either, so we will just move on with our lives together at this point and let the future take it's course. But mostly, I love her dearly, and I believe she loves me too and it's a relationship worth saving. If I do bring her to the USA to get married, a prenup is absolutely necessary and she knows it. But if I really thought she would hurt me again ever, I would just end it now. I will have some faith here and forget the past. She forgot mine. Now we just move on.

Thank you everyone for your responses. THey have ranged from the ridiculous to the very supportive. I have thought about this rationally and unemotionally. I made some serious decisions and developed a plan of action. I will discuss with my fiance and I will tell this board my decisions after everything is settled with my fiance. None of this is easy.
